Mac won't recognize Q2 HD camera

I successfully connected my Zoom Q2 HD camera once but not I cannot get it to be recognized. I have downloaded and install the driver (E_Q2HD_WebCamDriver_mac_v1.0.0). I have Handyshare installed. I have tried to import through both iMovie and Handyshare and neither recognizes the camera at all. I have tried two cables in both of my USB inputs.
I am on a MacBook Pro early 2011 running OS 10.7.5.
Most annoyingly, I cannot find any way to email the company. Any tips on that would also be appreciated.

>it supports anything newer than OS 8.5 or 8.6. It needs an Apple USB driver update (?).
Since adapters of this kind were used primarily for early iMac computers, support for something like Mac OS 8.x and 9.x would be expected. This does not necessarily mean that the adapter cannot be used under Mac OS X, but we do not know whether or not special driver software is available or required for a certain operating system version.
>"at least one SCSI device must supply termination power" (?)
It is probably wise to use the adapter with only one SCSI device, so termination power must be supplied by the hard drive. This is often controlled by a jumper setting  (do you know the exact hard drive model inside the case?).
>I have a terminator on the hard drive (green light on it lights when the hard drive is on)
That sounds like an active terminator. I guess that the fact that the light is on not only means that termination is OK, but also that there is termination power...
SCSI can be difficult under normal circumstances, and here you have additional unkown factors, so be prepared to experiment with jumper settings, termination, SCSI ID, etc. General SCSI information can be found in the following article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ta27743 .

i tried to get the installation disc for the camcorder but mac wont' recognize it becaue it is windows based i guess.
i just bought the camcorder a few months ago and when my computer crashed thought i'm finally getting a mac...it's been a costly venture which has resulted in more frustration than before my pc.
now the things i want to use with my mac that i thought would be even simpler...are not even useable...
    help

That camera shoots H.264 in an .avi wrapper.
You will have to transfer the files via the Finder.
Get a free copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert them to QuickTime .mov using the H.264 codec if you are presumably editing in iMovie.
Note that your list of video codecs won't look like mine as I have Final Cut Pro, but H.264 is definitely an option for you.

  • Mac won't recognize my password to let me download anything

I recently downgraded from Yosemite Beta to Mountain Lion and now my mac won't recognize my login credentials. Curious thing is it does recognize them to let me login at startup. But it won't let me download anything because it says my password is wrong. I changed the password and again it recognized it to let me login but not to download anything. What's going on?

Where are you trying to download from? Apple ID password?

Have an older 17 MacBook Pro, running OS 10.5.8. Software update says everyting is current. Mac doesn't have iCloud, preferences still shows MobileMe. Just bought new iPhone 5S. Mac won't recognize phone, says I need newer version of iTunes. Have no problem with computer recognizing old phone 3 or 1-1/2 year old iPad. I suspect I need to update OS, but as software update isn't telling me to do so, can I? What version would I need to go to?

Your MacBook Pro can be updated to run Mac OS X "Snow Leopard". Buy it. That will enable you to run the latest iTunes version.

Lol, figured out the first part. Just for those who may be searching, when you click on the Display Preferences, and click on the arraingment tab... it not only shows where your two screens will be displayed, but the WHITE BAR at the top of one screen is the dock/toolbar. Click and hold to grab this and just slide it over to the screen you'd like it to be on.
You have to release it IN the screen box, not on top of it... and it should pop right over to the new (or old) screen. At any rate, you can put the dock on either (or any) screen that you prefer.
I am thinking of ordering more of these. Lol. 3 monitor setup seems like it would be crazy good.
Still looking for the answer to keeping the new 16" screen on the right without switching between screen #s with that... not expose... Lion feature.
Thanks. Hope my other question has an answer out here.

  • After transferring music to new Mac, Mac won't recognize iPod

I just recently transferred my music from a PC to a new Powerbook G4 using my iPod in disk mode. I erased everything on my iPod, then loaded it with music in disc mode to put on my new computer. But now, I need to erase the stuff on there in disc mode so I can put it back in the normal mode.
Just when I thought I was figuring it out, my Mac won't recognize my iPod. Do I need to reformat it for a Mac since I was using it with a PC? Be gentle, I'm new to Macs and don't know the lingo or my way around very well yet.

Exactly what steps did you follow?
    1. what do I do with original iTunes folder?
    It's on your old computer.
What do you want to do with it?
    2. how do I get iTunes to read/ingest playlist and songs?
If you copied the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer then you simply need to open iTunes.
Since it is the exact same library, everything will be there as it was on old computer.

  • Mini Mac won't  recognize my password

My mini mac won't recognize my passwoed. Is there any way to reset the password? I know I am entering it correctly. I am copying  down my the note pad I wrote it down on. I tried swapping  out the keyboard. I also tried resetting ithe as well. Please help.

Note: Resetting the keychain deletes all the old saved password entries!
You can't change a keychain password without knowing the old password.
Backup the files located in ~/Library/Keychain before resetting if you ever plan on attempting to recover the old keychain items (should you remember the old password).
The Finders 'Go menu > Go to folder…' will open that folder if you insert ~/Library/Keychain as the path.

    Hi TakesTwo2Tango,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It sounds like you should definitely be seeing a plus sign after tapping Edit, so I would try a couple relatively easy things (closing the Music app, resetting the iPhone):
iOS: Force an app to close

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

  • Old mac won't recognize OS 10 disks for installation to allow upgrade.

I have an old Power Macintosh G3 300 Desktop (M7105LL/A) currently running OS 9.1. I want to upgrade to OS 10.3 or 10.4 (I have both disk sets).
I tried starting up from either of the disk but the PM won't recognize the 10.4 or start up from the 10.3. I get error messages offering to erase the 10.4. The 10.3 starts up on my mac in OS 9.1 even with "C" held down.
I somehow did this once b4 but do not remember the trick I used.
Unfotunately as my printer and internet did not work went back to OS 9.1 but now I am willing to work on those isses but cannot even get to that point.
Many internet sites won't work with OS 9.1 so I do need to up grade.
Note that when I start these disks from my mac laptop running OS 10 they are recognized? I'm stumped and need help.

Hi, I am tring to bring an old indigo imac g3 500Mhz 20Gb HD into the present day for my mother-in-law and have just put in 1Gb ram in order to install either 10.3 or 10.4 (I have been told that 10.5 is a no go). I have two copies of 10.4 that came with an old ibook G4 and a Mac Mini G4 and also a copy of 10.3 that also came with the Mac Mini. None will install on the iMac G3 with the note "this operating system and softare bundle cannot be installed on this Mac" (incidentally, although I am not sure this is relevant, I am using the DVD drive on my MacBook Pro by firewire link as the G3 only has a CD-Rom drive). I believe that if I buy a retail copy it will work, but at £90 it's maybe not worth it having just spent £70 on the Ram, however as I no longer use any of the other copes of 10.3/10.4 mentioned on another Mac I feel agrieved that I cannot use one of these. Does anyone know a way that will let me install one of the copies that I already have? Any help much appreciated.

  • Mac won't read USB from Camera

I have an older camera that doesn't have a 4 pin firewire port. So I'm using a USB connector to upload my video outside of IMovie (unfortunately I don't have Final Cut yet). However, my computer won't recognize the camera. I've tried turning the camera on both before and after I plug it in to the computer, but I still can't get it to read the camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi DragynFilmMaker-
    Video camera? Which one?
As mentioned by Alchroma take a closer look. Try looking online at the manufacturer's website for a manual.
    Luck-
