Mac wont load properly

Hi,
im a trip away meeting family for a few months so i brought my laptop with me,
anyhow i was using my imac fine turnt it off to later go on to finsh some work and for some reason or another when i load my mac the gray apple shows up with noise an then it goes to the blue screen with the loading circle an it loads it then keeps repeating non stop, iv left it on for hours.
i tryed holding shift and all it done with made the gray apple last much longer, then goes to blue screen but i get my mouse which i can move for a couple minits then loading circle comes back.
i dont know what else to do, if someone could help me i would be very grateful.

Then, if there's any data on the drive that you want to keep, you have to back up before you do anything else -- assuming it's still possible.
Basically you have three options:
1. Install a copy of the Mac OS on an external hard drive, boot from it, and copy the data from the internal drive.
2. Start the problem Mac in FireWire target mode (command-T at startup) and connect it to a working Mac with a FireWire cable. The internal drive will mount as a FireWire device.
3. Remove the internal drive and mount in an external enclosure on another Mac.
Once you've backed up, follow the sequence in the support article linked below. The article is somewhat outdated. Where it refers to booting from an installation disc, you should boot from your recovery partition (if running Lion) by holding down the key combination command-R at the chime.

Itunes wont load properly

Hi,
My Itunes 11.0.04 wont load properly on my Macbook running 10.7.2. Once i click on the itunes icon it flashes up and dissapears, the music still plays but i cant actually see the itunes interface at all.
Having trouble finding anything about this.

I understand you are having some issues with iTunes on your MacBook. You may want to isolate the issue further by testing to see if it persists in a new user account:

Itunes store wont load properly after upgrading to 10.5

My itunes store wont load at all. Loads halfway, and stops.

Any tips then as to how to resolve it? I've uninstalled / reinstalled itunes and allsorts of other things but still no joy.

My mac wont load any applications, and barely starts

My mac is having a hard time loading anything. On start up I get a DMS load failure which usually leads to a divix uninstall but my computer won't even load the uninstall program. I can get safari to work (only apple program to work) but it will only open small sites. It will not fully load apple. I have even gone to the extent of trying to reboot my computer with the IOS program and that wont completely install. My computer will freeze but the mouse still works perfectly. It almost sounds like the hard drive stops working then starts back up. I ran a hard drive check and it tested good. Any ideas?

Firefox wont open straight away.
I use to use Firefox all the time until a friend sent me a message that needed me to install Bandoo and I haven't been able to use Firefox since.
I unistalled Bandoo and Firefox still wouldn't load for me so i uninstalled it and re installed Firefox now when i try to open it ,it just keeps flashing on and off my screen for about 15 minutes and when it does load to comes up to welcome to Firefox 4 and a popup comes up saying that firefox is in safe mode

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder

If you have updated to win 8.1 and you get the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" it is a known problem.
The work around is to edit the registry. If you are not comfortable doing this DONT. If you are, backup the key before you do
Press Win+"R" and input regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels. Delete "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic"

When I turn my Macbook on all it shows is the apple sign and says its loading but doesnt load. I cannot get to my login screen and log on to my account on my Macbook and access my desktop. How do I fix this?

I press the ON button, I hear the MAC Start Up Sound, then the loading wheel appears, and a progress bar appears below, which dosnt do anything then the MAC SHUTS OFF, I've had the MAC since 2011 and this is the first problem I've had

The dark gray Apple is loaded off your Boot Device.
The thermometer bar appears when your Boot Drive will not mount, despite providing boot-up information and drivers.
Shutting off happens when the drive cannot be repaired.
So boot from Mac OS X installed on a different drive. Then you will be back in business and can Use the full power of Mac OS X to work on getting that old drive fixed up (if possible).
If you don't have a different drive, go buy one now. If this is a MacBook, buy an external case as well. It does not have to be a fast case (USB-2 will do) but the drive may be taking the place of the one inside your computer, so get a good one.

Mac wont start properly!!!!!!!!!!

Everytime i try to start my mac, it stays on the initial white screen and after about a minute, a file with a question mark starts to blink. A little earlier, my computer completely froze up and i had to force shut it down and it hasnt started since. I have a huge final project due on monday and i need to start this macbook ASAP. any help is great, thanks

The file with the question mark means that the mac hasn't found an OS to start from, try holding down the Option(alt) key and pressing power on to see if an OS comes up. If it does select it and start up, then go to the System Preferences/Startup Disk, select the Tiger partition there and press the glowing Restart button.
If this doesn't work boot up from your install/restore disk by holding down C or using Option as above. Once loaded go to the menu bar at the top and select Disk Utility and see if it can find your internal drive. If it does click on it in the right hand column and select Repair Disk in the First Aid tab, this should fix it.
If this doesn't work you may need a third party solution or you can Archive and Install the OS from your install/restore disk which will replace your System Folder but not destroy any of your personal data.

Why is my mail app on my mac not loading properly?

I'll delete e-mail from my inbox, and it just marks them as read rather than deleting them. Also, it doesn't load when e-mails come on. I have to close it and open it to display my incoming e-mails. I never had any trouble until I updated to OS X Mavericks.

Mac wont load anything on power up

when i turn on my mac the screen looks very distorted, pixels all over the place all pinky blues, and can only just make out the start up apple logo,
then a dark line moves down the screen, and a box appears saying that my mac needs to be restarted, and that i can use the power button by holding it down for 7 secs (it repeats it in a few languages)
so i do this and it just says it again.
this suddenly happened when watching youtube, the screen froze and pixel colours messed up, and it wouldn't do anything.

Two things to try:
1) Boot from your original install DVD (hold c at start up) and then run Disc Utility and run both Repair Disc and Repair Permissions.
If you can't do that then
2)
Boot holding down Apple/S and don't let go until you see scrolling text.
When that stops and you see a root#: prompt enter
*fsck -fy*
Let it run through all the checks and repairs.
If it fails first time, at any time, or finds and fixes a fault - _run the command again and keep doing so_ (some fixes can take several passes) until it says "Appears to be OK" then enter
reboot

Website wont load properly

Ok. So recently i been having trouble with google chrome. I could not sign into any website(facebook,twitter,etc..) So i had to switch to firefox now.
i can sign into all the websites i need.
But everytime i try to go to leak.sx i get the following page over and over

Facebook wont load

all of a sudden my facebook wont load properly. internet works for all other sites but every time i open facebook it shuts down and goes to the menu screen?!

I can't give you a fix or a reason, but I can suggest a work-around that's helped me with some other Apps.
Try deleting the app from your iPhone (hold the icon until they all start jiggling around, select the "X" for the Facebook app, accept the prompt to delete with all data).
Then, sync the iPhone to iTunes once.
Next, go to the "Apps" page in iTunes and from the list of apps on the left hand side apply a tick back to re-install the App onto the iPhone. You can put it on the right page etc at this time.
Sync to re-install the App.
...This has fixed some crashing app behaviour for me with e.g. Layar, although I haven't specifically tried it with the Facebook app. It works by deleting all cached App data on the phone allowing it to be re-created on re-install.

I receive an error stating user name and password are not valid on my ipad and iphone 3Gs when attempting to load email from my icloud account. When I log onto icloud from my Mac, it wont load the email either.

One day, my ipad and iphone pick up my emails (.mac account) from icloud just fine. the next day, I recieved error messages that say my user name and password are not accurate. I removed the icloud program on both devices and added it back on to both devices and get the same message. I logged into icloud from my Mac and while I can log in, it times out when I select email and wont load the email there either. Any Suggestons?

I am having the same problem; it started about 24-36 hours ago.
I know my ID/PW combo are correct because I can access all other aspects of iCloud except mail.
iPhone -- returns incorrect ID / Password
iPad -- Same
Mail.app on Mac -- returns incorrect password error
icloud.com -- allows me to log in and use all functions accept mail. When I try to use mail it stays on a white screen for about 60 seconds then returns a dialogue box that indicates a server error.
I contacted Apple and they placed my iCloud account into something called "Troubleshooting" mode. They generated a new strong password and sent it on to "Engineering."
I suspect there are a small number ofo users like you who are affected with the same problem I am. Too small a number for it to be reported as an outtage. I suggest you call Apple and open a case to have your mail investigaged.

Websites wont load in any browser on my mac

Hey guys,
     I am runnuing safari 6.0.1 and it was working fine but then it started acting up and now it just wont load any site except for google. When i type in an adress it will show as if it were loading but the blue would just stop near the begining of the bar. When i load google or make a search it will work but if i want to click a like it the link i click on will not load.
     If I restart my computer though it will work again but about 1-2 hours later it will go back to doing the same thing
     This problem is not only in safari it is in every browser, even in mail or messages it will only load gmail or google talk, very wierd.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
