Macboock pro 8.1 (13 inc.)  - connect a microphone (audio in)

Any one can help me? I need to understand if it's possible buy an external port for connect a microphone.
In the 13 inches model there isn't this port but only the audio out.
I need to connect something like a jack.
Can you suggest me something?
Thanks in advance

The port on the MBP doubles as both output and input, but it requires a line-level input signal, so you'll need a preamplifier or an amplified mic to get acceptable recorded results. An alternative is to use a mic that connects to a USB port instead.

I have a 16GB iPhone 3GS. Tried synching my phone through iTunes (11.0.1 I think... on a 2009 Macbook Pro). Now when I connect to iTunes, it says it does not recognise the content on my phone. Is this because my phone (and laptop) are too old?
Also, when I tried to Restore the settings, an Error Message pops up that says " The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. The requested resource was not found.
I'm trying to free up space on my phone by removing [literally] thousands of old photos which were originally synched to the phone, because I had forgotten to uncheck the photos button when I synched it ages ago.
I have also tried synching it on my 24" iMac (running OSX Snow Leopard). But again, when I try restoring the phone through itunes, it says the file is corrupted. It sggests unplugging the device, and then plugging it in again. I have done this numerous times with no success.
I'm guessing it must be because my phone (and versions of iTunes, and OSX) are all too old.
    Please can anybody help.
    Cheers,
    Dan_nz.

Restarting MacBook Pro, Apple TV and WiFi router could solve the problem.

  • MacBook Pro continually drops wi-fi connection

My MacBook Pro drops the wi-fi connection at intermittent times all day.  Sometimes, only after it goes to sleep.  Other times every few minutes.  Had Cox check all cable connections.  No problem. Geniuses at Apple Store said it's an Apple problem, needs an update.  Online Apple support agreed.  Incredibly annoying.  Only problem I've had.

Since you've only had a week take it back and get a refund. Apple has a 14 day no questions asked return policy. Return it for a refund and buy another or something else that works correctly.

You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

  • Macbook Pro 10.6+ will not connect to wifi network

Having a strange issue with one particular Macbook Pro not being able to connect to the internal wifi. There are 5 machines, mix of Windows and OS X, none have this issue. We have a wireless network coming from a SonicWall router with wireless capability. This particular Macbook will not connect to the wifi. Just an "!" symbol around the wifi. It has no issues connecting to any other wifi in the area, even to a second on within the same floor.
What are steps to troubleshoot? I am an advanced Windows user and would check ipconfigs, flushdns, among plethora of other things. I am not so sure about what to do in OS X (10.6 or 10.7, not sure).
    Any guidance would be appreciated.

I can assure you it is not the router. I am pretty good with Windows and Networking, particularly these model routers. This is an issue on the laptop. I feel as if it keeps remembering old credentials to this wifi network (when user kept typing the wrong password). Once I changed the WiFi password, it no longer even asks me to update the WiFi password when attempting to connect. I have to manually try to connect to it by inputting SSID and password and still does not accept.

  • My Mac Book Pro suddenly will no longer connect to the Internet at my house. Help?

My Mac Book Pro suddenly will no longer connect to the Internet at my house. My son's MacBook connects just fine. My MacPro connects at work, at Starbucks, etc. just fine, but not at my house. My son's however has no problem whatsoever. I assume that since his computer connects that the router and modem is not the problem. And since my computer connects everywhere but here . . . . it is not a hardware issue. When directly connecting my MacBook Pro to the modem or router the problem was the same. . . no connection. Help?

    From the menu bar, select
               ▹ About This Mac
Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or invalid according to this web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.

  • Trying to set up my brand new MacBook Pro and it does not connect with the wifi network I have selected for this purpose. Nothing wrong with the wifi as both my iPad and iPhone are happily connected. Suggestions for connecting to the wifi network accepted

Setting up my brand new MacBook Pro and it will not connect to the wifi network. Nothing wrong with the network which is happily working for my iPhone and iPad! Suggestions accepted for making this connection.

Fixing this is a two step process:
    1) System preferences > WiFi/Airport ...
... check [√] Ask to join new networks
"Known networks will be joined automatically.
If no known networks are available, you will
be asked before joining a new network."
    2) Remove unwanted networks from the list of "known" networks under
    System preferences > WiFi/Airport > (Advanced) > | Airport/WiFi pane ...
Close the window and save changes. If no joy, do a restart to ensure you are playing under the new rules.

After many days of frustration, I try a stupid thing.... Put the SD card in the Lock Position and... Voilá!
The way I find to access the content is put the SD card in the Lock position..

I have been upstairs to look at the cables. This is what I found:-
on the capsule there is a cable in the Power port Then an empty port Then the ethernet cable Then 2 empty ehthernet ports. On the Hub ..... ADSL cable, then a Red BT Infinity port (empty) .... Then the Ethernet cable from the TC. Then 2 empty yellow ports, Then the power cable.
I am fairly clear.. please do what I suggested.. take the computer upstairs and plug it into TC with an ethernet cable.
Then you should get internet and airport utility will see the TC and we can work out the issues.
Does the BT hub still have its wireless working??
Hope you have a safe trip to get supplies.. it is 39deg in our area of Melbourne tomorrow.. a bit of ice and snow sounds nice.. but I am glad it doesn't.
