  • Ship and delivery time?

I want to buy the new Macbook Pro 13.3" but the time is really pressing me! I am leaving the country(15 June) for summer vacation and i want to have the laptop with me. I'm going to buy it with the education discount(+ free ipod) and it says that the item would ship 1-3 bussiness days. Any recent experience with the new macbook pro ship and delivery time? Thanks

They are usually pretty accurate. You can also place the order through Apple Phone Sales (1-800-MY-APPLE) and they may be able to expedite it. Alternatively, if you're getting a 'stock' configuration you can drive to the nearest Apple Retail Store and buy it in person. Bring your student ID or other verification of enrollment, and you'll be able to get the education pricing in the store, and the iPod promotion is a rebate anyway, so you'll have to buy the iPod and submit the rebate request later.

I was already using 10.7. But only had the disc for 10.6.

Sorry I am new to this. Am I in the right area? I am using my iPhone to make contact. I am worried.

  • Anyone else having extra long delivery time for the late 2013 macbook pro 15" 2.6ghz 1tb model?

Anyone else having extra long delivery time for the late 2013 macbook pro 15" 2.6ghz 1tb model?
As of today feb 15 i have been waiting for 78 days. Finland doesn't have an official apple store (only authorized resellers) It was my mistake because i should have bought from apple.com. But i think 2.5 months is too long and i have no information about when i can get it..

    The low-end 15” rMBP with a 8 GB or RAM and a 256 GB SSD costs $2,000.
    The low-end 15” rMBP with a 8 GB or RAM and a 512 GB SSD costs $2,300.
With 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD it costs $2,500.
    The high-end 15” rMBP with a 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD costs $2,600.
All cost $500 dollars more with a 1 TB SSD.
So the SSD size is not a differentiating factor unless you prefer 256 GB.
If you think you need 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD then you might as well spend the extra $100 for the high-end model.
The high-end model will make a difference on gaming and graphics-oriented applications.
They tend to run other applications at about the same speed.
Both models are rated with 8 hours of battery life.
Benchmarks on PhotoShop comparing memory sizes:  https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5659174?tstart=30
The speed was about 10% different between 8 GB and 16 GB models.
On other applications your mileage may vary.
    Application benchmarks:
    http://www.macworld.com/article/2059215/15-inch-retina-macbook-pro-review-a-tale -of-two-laptops.html
The low-end and high-end performed the about the same on non-graphics oriented applications.
    Graphics oriented benchmarks:
On the Cinebench OpenGL benchmark the high-end was about twice as fast.
On the Unigine Heaven Benchmark benchmark they ran at about the same speed.
On the Unigine Valley Benchmark benchmark the high-end was about 1.5x as fast.

  • Average delivery time for MacBooks to Europe.

I've read quite a few posts (and written a couple myself) where people complain about TNT's delivery times. Now, being sick at home and waiting for my MacBook to make it out of China I was wondering:
If you live in Europe and have already received your MacBook, how many days did you have to wait from ordering it and actually receiving it?

  • Current Delivery Times for MacBook Pro 15"?

What can i expect the delivery time to New York to be with a 256gb SSD and 8gb of RAM and anti-glare screen?

After you configure your laptop on the apple store, when you choose your shipping preferences it will show you an estimate.

  • Planned delivery time

    Hi,
I have created a sale order on 1/7/2009 with a material which has planned delivery time of 4 days.
Now when I go to the schedule lines screen I see that the delivery date corresponding to the confirmed quantity is 1/8/2009.
Why is not SAP taking the 4 days into considerations while determining the delivery date?
Please see below the screen shots:
    Scheduling configuration in material master:

    Sincerely.

    Hi,
You seems confused with planned delivery time in MRP 2 view of material master to Sales order delivery date.
Material master Planned delivery time is for the material which is procured externally  through PR -- PO process.
In Sales order the delivery date is with respect the ATP--Avalible to Promise.
If the stock is avalible in the storage location on the date of Sales order creation, then system will consider the delivery date an the basis of confirmed qty in the sales order. You can check in CO09 for confirmed qty.

  • I am out of space on my Macbook Air and have a Time Machine Backup. I want to complete reset my mac, but wonder if I can pick and choose what I restore to my computer? Can I also use my time machine backup and external storage as well?

I am out of space on my Macbook Air and have a Time Machine Backup. I want to complete reset my mac, but wonder if I can pick and choose what I restore to my computer? Can I also use my time machine backup as external storage as well for the files I don't need everyday?

If you are using "Restore from Time Machine Backup" option from OS X Recovery, you can only choose from the broad categories presented.
... Can I also use my time machine backup as external storage as well for the files I don't need everyday?
To be clear, if you are asking if you can use the volume containing your Time Machine backup to store additional, non-Time Machine files, the short answer is yes.
It's not a good idea though, since the Time Machine backup will eventually fill all available space, after which it begins to remove old, "expired" backups to make room for newer ones. The presence of additional files doesn't change that fact, and Time Machine will not erase them, but you will encounter a dilemma should you want to store additional files on that volume when there is no remaining space. You will have to make room for them on your own, by deleting existing files. Furthermore, since Time Machine cannot back up its own volume, those additional files will not be backed up by Time Machine.
The easy solution for what you describe is to purchase additional external storage. External USB hard disk drives have become very inexpensive; about $55 will buy a perfectly suitable 1 TB drive.
You can also choose to replace your MacBook Air's internal storage with a larger capacity one. Look for a suitable replacement from OWC / MacSales:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/Air-Retina
That gets a little more expensive but it is the optimum solution.

I had a problem with the hard disk on a 13" 2010 macbook pro. Replaced the hard disk with an Hitachi 1TB disk but when I tried to erase and format, it fails with input/output error and at other times saying unable to allocate memory. Any help much appreciated!

Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, then try again.

  • Trying to restore Macbook Pro back up from Time Machine.

Trying to restore MacBook Pro from backup thru Time Machine. Got message asking "Do you want to replace your current copy of "Desktop" with the one your're restoring? "Desktop is required by OS X. When I select REPLACE, get window stating "Operation can't be completed because the item "Desktop" is in use.  HELP

I think you are not restoring your files in the correct way.
If what you want to do is to restore a complete Time Machine backup, you have to do it in OS X Recovery, so first hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up. Then, choose the option to restore a Time Machine backup, and follow its steps.
If you want to restore individual files, you cannot restore that type of user files because you are using them. Instead, you can restore individual files in your user folders. Read > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427

  • Delivery times for iwatch

I Have recently ordered a new iwatch on 12/04/2015 obviously I wasn't expecting delivery on the 24/04/2025 but was a little shocked that delivery is now estimated
for the month of June. I then started to get buyers remorse and was contampating cancelling my order online - I've now changed my mind having visited an apple shop today successfully booking an appointment whilst in store meant only a five minute wait to try one on.
It is absolutely brilliant and can't wait for mine to arrive.
what do you think the chances are of my delivery time coming forward?

As someone is sure to point out, we are all users like yourself - not Apple employees - so it is just guesses on our parts. However I have recently read several articles that implied (either through their own guesswork or actual sources in Apple) that a lot of those June delivery dates are probably going to be earlier than originally estimated.

  • Apple Store - Delivery times?? _ frustrating!!

I placed an order through the Apple Store on the 8th Aug at 6:53am GMT (17" MBP, Office and a 4gb Black Nano), the website informed me that the manufacturing time would be 24 hours and dispatch would be on the 9th with arrival on or before the 11th (which is great as I needed the laptop for this weekend).
I got an email this morning at 2:34am GMT informing me that my order has been despatched on the 10th and will arrive on the 14th. Why the sudden increase in delivery times? The website clearly stated all items were available within 24 hours meaning it should have been ready to despatch on the 9th to arrive with me on the 11th. Really disappointed I use to work in sales myself and if we gave a delivery date that was the date regardless, even if it meant having to have staff work overtime to complete an order and have it ready to leave on time.
So what’s the chances of my order arriving with me on the Friday? As their will be no one available to collect delivery as of the Sunday for 8-12 weeks as I have to go work abroad.
//On a side note why am I being shipping the US version of MS Office?
    MBP

Delivery to Europe *****. I've ordered several times from the Apple online store. The manufacturing dates Apple told me were always correct. But then, after handover to Kuehne & Nagel in Shanghai, everything comes to a grinding halt. My first MBP got stuck in Shanghai for 5 days. And it took another 5 for it to reach my door-step. The replacement MBP got delivered from Shanghai directly by TNT. I thought that would speed up the process - but I was wrong. Again, the thing got stuck somewhere in China. Once the stuff is in Europe, though, the packages almost always arrive within 24 hours. From what I've read, delivery to the UK sometimes takes 2 days from the Netherlands, though.
I just wished Apple would try to reduce the delivery times from Shanghai to Europe somehow.

  • ADM delivery times from Apple.. 2-3 months!!

    Hi,
We have a 3.5 TB RAID built with 250GB disks. One disk just died and the RAID is still running but no safety anymore..
It seems Apple is having a hard time delivering 250GB ADM modules (2-3 months)
Is it possible to use a larger sized disk? (750Gb is available 24hr) I realize we lose most of the disk but better than losing the RAID
    cheers
    Kaspar

Yikes! That's a long delivery time. I order our 250GB replacement drives from Mac Mall (www.macmall.com). They are pretty quick. We have had them sent next day air on several occasions, but standard delivery is usually 2 to 4 days.

  • Get message bevore delivery time

    Hi,
I want to get a message bevore delivery time. Is there a possibility to do this? Or can change the delivery time of the message while its in the queue?
              Thanks
              Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
You might be able to accomplish what you need by using the JMS "message management" APIs, which are accessible via console, mbean, or wlst. These APIs allow messages to be viewed, moved, deleted, imported, or exported.
I don't recommend attempting this on a production system, without first trying it out on a test system.
              See:
              http://docs-stage/wls/docs92/jms_admin/manage_msg.html
              The steps are:
              (1) pause the destination
              (2) export the message into XML
              (3) delete the message from the destination
              (4) edit the XML
              (5) import the message
I don't know if ordering can be preserved (the imported messages may end up in a different location in the destination).
Note that the if the message has a value in the "ReplyTo" field, the value is not preserved as part of the import/export process.
              Tom
