MacBook Air and Apple Pixlet movies

Hello,
I have problems playing back movies that are in the Apple Pixlet format on my MacBook Air. (On my desktop Mac the movies play fine) When I open such a movie in QuickTime or Final Cut Pro the video is just a blank white square. I hear the sound but don't see the picture. If I move and scale the video wildly around in QT for a second the picture comes up.
Looks like a graphic driver bug to me. Does anybody else experience this problem?
My video information:
MPEG-4 Low Delay AAC, Stereo (L R), 44,100 kHz
Apple Pixlet Video, 320 x 240, 16,7 Mill.

I have the same problem, in addition to the fact that NO video (mp4, mov) etc will play correctly in QuickTime in anything but FULL SCREEN. Even trying to adjust the volume brings up multiple copies of the frozen video and flickering like mad. When I go back to full screen, the problems stop.
I find that my mp4s and mov videos go "white" thumbnail and lose their images altogether when it falls asleep or I log out. Then trying to play the video I played 10 minutes earlier is impossible until I reboot.
I was also an early purchases of the MB PRO when it came out and I swore I would never buy another "new" (untested) product from Apple again. I broke my promise. It won't happen again.
In addition, you could fry an egg on the thing sometimes.
Not a happy customer.

I have the same model you've mentioned. Although my issue is not the same, at times when I open my laptop up, I have a black screen, and have to manually power-down. I can tell the keys still work, as I use the brightness buttons and can tell the contrast is getting higher.
Also last night my keyboard/trackpad stopped working, however the power button did bring up the shutdown options but the trackpad still did not work.

You would have to use home-sharing if streaming from a computer. Computer would need to be on and running iTunes.

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

I have been using a 2012 Mac pro to do HD video editing. I bought a new portable Macbook Air only to find that Maverick no longer has "open files in a new window" which I use all the time in the very large folders of video clips and royalty-free music. I asked at the Apple Store how I could get this back on the Macbook Air and they said it couldn't be done so I thought I would re-format the HD and install 10.7 on it and was notified by the Macbook Air I can't put 10.7 on that computer. Apple use to give this as an option but now they have gone more to the attitude of "Do it our way or go to ****!" In anger I went out and bought a Dell Laptop and Pinnacle Studio 17 which I have been learning to use. I have been an Apple/Mac user since 1979 and would still rather do my video editing on a Mac. Is there any way that I can force the Macbook Air to let me load in OSX 10.7 where there is still the option to "open files in a new window" or is there a way to add this to Maverick? The experts at the Madison, WI Couldn't give me any help on this.

Choose Preferences from the Finder menu, click on the General tab, and uncheck the box to open folders in a new tab.

Change your old Apple ID using this link:

Its password is unrelated to the password you use for the email associated with it.

You cannot change your Apple ID to another one that is already in use - in this case, the one you created for your iPnone and iPad. Decide which Apple ID you want to keep. If you need to change it, change it - don't create a new one.

I have a new Macbook Air 2012, Apple TV 2 and I have tried wired and wireless connections both result in stuttering during video airplay to the ATV2.

I have even bought a new Airport Extreme Router just to confirm it is not the router and it still didn't help.
I have brought all items in the same room with wired connections and still same issue.
I was thinking maybe ATV 3 might help since it has 2 wifi antennas and faster processor.
Have tried everything I could think of.
This was one of the main reasons I bought a Macbook Air for this airplay feature. Very frustrated.
Any thoughts; any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I also disabled Norton Firewall and restarted the Air and Now I'm able to use Air Play.
I know that the Apple remedy said that to do that in the support article, but I totally forgot I had that enabled..
It actually works. I can even stream to the Apple TV now through my MacBook Air.
BTW, Go into setting under the ATV, and click on update...you'll see that there was another update avaialble for the last gen of ATV...
It does have to restart twice..I guess once to download and and nother to apply.
