Macbook Air can't connect to VCFlex 10/100 via SFP Rj45

I have USB-to-RJ45 connector, and I try to use it to connect to FIber Switch (VC Flex 10/100) via SFP RJ45. But I check the link is not detected, but if connect to normal RJ45 switch port it's working fine.
Do anyone have the same problem like this, and do you know how to solve this issue ?

Hello lolthisnameisnttaken,
Based on your post it seems you're having an issue with an external display. The following article may help you find a solution:

Try resetting your modem. Power it down. Wait a moment, then power it up again. While it resets, do not change what is connected to it.
In another, though unrelated article, Apple recommends the following:
If you have configured your Wi-Fi base stations in the past, it may be helpful to do a factory default reset of each Wi-Fi base station that will be part of the wireless extended network before you begin.
This step really ought not be considered optional for the configuration you propose. If the problem persists after resetting your modem, reset everything else too.

  • MacBook Air can't connect to WiFi; iPhone, iPad can

I'm a pretty experienced Mac and WiFi user, but this one has me stumped.
I was recently waiting for my car to be serviced and tried to connect to the dealer's free WiFi network (Sonic via ATT broadband).  My iPhone 4s and my iPad3 had no problem signing-in to Sonic (OK'ing the terms) and accessing the internet, but I could not connect using my MacBook Air (model 4.2). I tried a number of things (e.g., refreshing the DHCP address, turning wifi off/on, etc.) - none worked.
The person at the dealership said, "Macs seem to have a probelm connecting."
FWIW, I have no problem connecting to my home, my work, and other WiFi networks on any of these devices.
Any ideas about why my iPhone and iPad can connect to the Sonic WiFi and my MacBook Air can't?

  • Macbook Air can't connect the AP in Mac OS 10.6

    Hi.
I opened my new macbook air yesterday, and I tried to connect my private WiFi AP.
The other devices, such as two iPads, iphone 4, ipod touch 3G, and PCs, can connect to the AP, but the new one couldn't connect.
The error message was "The password is not valid."
    However, the key was correct.
I reseted my AP in several times and changed the security method (WPA and WPA2).
But these methods didn't solve the problem.
I tried to connect in the Win 7 using Bootcamp, and I can access the internet with the same AP. There is no malfunction in the WiFi hardware due to the reason.
What is the problem? I guess that the AirPort has some problems to connect.
Please let me know the solution.

Perhaps your network and keychain have gotten out of sync?
I suggest that you delete the network from Airport preferences. Then open "Keychain Access" and sarch for your wireless network name.
    Delete the resulting "keys".
    Then recreate it from scratch.
    Cheers,
    Rodney

  • My macbook air can't connect to wireless isp fails? other computers macbook pro are logging on

. Can someone suggest what to do?

    Hello, gushingstream.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing issues connecting to Wi-Fi.  I would also make sure all firmware updates have been processed on the router.

  • Macbook air can't connect to wifi but at the same time is connnected.

Hey there fellow mac users, I got myself a tiny problem around here.
My mid 2013 mba is connecting to my wifi at home, but when it's done connecting (and shows it's connected at the network panel) it doesn't load anything from firefox, safari, steam, apps, twitter etc etc. The problem lies within my mba I think, because all our other devices, (windows laptops, android phones, windows pc's and our ipad) can connect to the wifi and actually use it.
    Here's a few things I tried :
I tried turning it on and off (basic everyone does that)
resetting the router which I am connected to
    creating a new wifi location
using different dhcp adresses (i set it to 8.8.8.8. to test it with google)
and as a final thing I heard one of my friends worked around with something on the hardware (a 1453 thing Idk what it does but it didn't fix it)
Is there someone with enough knowledge of internet connectivity on Macs willing to help?

It appears that you have a question about the MacBook Air.......and we handle support for the Apple AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule on this forum......so you will likely get a much faster and more informed response if you ask your question about a MacBook Air in the MacBook Air support forum.
    The link is just below:

  • MacBook Air can't connect to iMac network, but other computers can

This one has been driving me absolutely batty.
I have 4 computers on our network – a mini, iMac, Macbook, and Macbook Air. Screen and file sharing works great except everywhere except between the iMac and Air, which can't do anything with each other. They show up in each other's "Devices" list in the Finder, but trying to connect over any port, pinging, etc. doesn't work.
I've tried turning off the Firewall, changing IP addresses and dns settings, rebooting, turning off ipv6, creating new user profiles on both machines, and just about anything else I can think of. What am I missing
Thank you kindly for any help you can provide!

That's been one of the more difficult parts – no connections work over any protocols/ports that I've tried, whether via browsing or Connect to Server..., though something is working (UDP?) to allow both computers to see each other in the devices list in the Finder.
It happened just now. I was working on the Air and had mounted the iMac. It worked fine for about 15 minutes and then I suddenly got the pinwheel of death when trying to access the mounted iMac volume. Hanging, hanging, hanging, so I relaunched the Finder. Now I can't access the iMac at all (except, again, to see it in the devices list).
Here are seemingly related messages in the console (note that there is 1.2 TB unused on iMac and 11 GB unused on Air). It's showing some kind of file system error. Guess I'll run fsck and see what happens.
    Thanks again for your help!

  • MacBook Air can't connect to external display

2 months ago I bought a Thunderbolt to VGA adapter and its working normally, then after 2 weeks its stopped working. I plugged the adapter in and the VGA cable then the built-in display fades to black (nothing is happening on my external display at all) and it fades back to normal, so it knows that I'm connecting something. I've tried this with all my TVs in the house, no luck. And the screen always does that when I'm trying to connect it and disconnect it.
So today I bought an HDMI and a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter, it doesn't work, it acts the same!
It fades to black when I connect the HDMI cable, then it fades back to normal! even when I disconnect the cable
I tried resetting SMC & NVRAM/PRAM, the mac is on, it isn't sleeping, i already tried pressing Detect displays in the Displays settings and it doesn't fix anything.
    Running on OSX Yesomite 10.10.2

  • Macbook air can't go to the internet when connected with hard disk

Hi, so my macbook air can't go to the internet everytime when it is connected with my hard disk. The wifi icon on the top right corner says my macbook is connected to my wifi but my macbook just can't go to the internet. I unplugged my hard disk and I have no problem connecting to the internet right away? I would like to know if there is any solution for this problem.
    Thank you

    Try resetting your SMC.
Resetting the SMC of an Intel-based portable Mac with a battery you should not remove on your own
Note: This will not delete any data.
The SMC is responsible for controlling various system functions. None of your data will be deleted by resetting the SMC.
Shut down the computer by going to Apple () > Shut Down…
Select Shut Down or allow the computer to shut down automatically.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter into a power source and then connect it to your Mac if you have not already done so.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift (⇧), Control (⌃), and Option (⌥) keys and the Power Button at the same time.
Release the (left side) Shift (⇧), Control (⌃), and Option (⌥) keys and the Power Button at the same time.
    I hope I helped.

The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.

  • Just purchased USB SuperDrive to connect MacBook air can't eject start up disc

just purchased USB SuperDrive to connect MacBook air can't eject start up disc? please advise

No, of course not. The "startup disk" is the disk with your boot volume (operating system) on it. Once you boot (startup) from it it is locked as your computer will not "run" without a valid "startup disk".
It would be similar to complaining that "I can't remove the engine from a running vehicle".
