Macbook air i5 cant watch flash

hi i have a question i just bought new macbook air i5 i download adobe 10.3 canot watch some flash movie
but my other macbook 2008 with adobe 10.2.153 is watchable
so what wrong thank you

I'm assuming this is a new Macbook Air. Adobe's Flash is no long pre-installed on this computer because typically, Adobe updates flash pretty often and it's likely that it would ship with an out of date version of flash. You will need to visit www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download it yourself. If you have it installed and it won't watch flash try to update your version.
Good Luck!

  • How reliable is the 2014 MacBook Air and its PCle Flash storage?

I'm planning on buying one from my local Best Buy, but I don't know how reliable it really is. I love the idea of having all day battery life, which is a huge plus for me, and the thinnest of it is simply amazing. I did heard that it has some sort of SSD, which I'm assuming it's PCle flash storage, that makes things so much faster. I don't know anything about them, so correct me if I'm wrong. But is the SSDs reliable? just don't want to get something that's going to be a paperweight in a year. I was expecting to keep mine for, let's say, 3 or more years, which is what I usually do with my notebooks.
Anyway, long story short, is the MacBook Air durable, and worth the investment?

That's good. So, in other words, the early-2014 MacBook Air model - with PCle flash storage and a Haswell processor - is a good notebook that should last me a very long time (with proper care)? I'm going to college soon, and I was planning on sticking with this notebook for 4-8 year - for college work, and every day (casual) use. I heard MacBook Airs, or any MacBook with a SSD, are extremely reliable, but I don't know if that's true.
I never bought a MacBook  so please forgive me if my questions are annoying.

  • Macbook Air won't startup, flashing question mark

    Hello everyone, here's the problem:
Recently (Sep) I've bought a new macbook air (2012, 128gb SSD). After a few months of using it the following problem happened: while surfing on the web, my macbook hang up (I couldn't press anything or do anything, the system wouldn't respond), so I shut it down forcefully (by holding the power button), after this my computer wouldn't boot at all: a flashing questioning mark appeared on the grey screen. I know what it means (I'm an Intel engineer and know quite a bit on the subject), so I thought the SSD was dead. Brought it to the shop a bought it at (M-video, Russia, Nizhni Novgorod). After 21 day (sic!) they gave it back to me working fine and said that when they opened it - it worked OK, they tested it for 5 days with reboots and it was OK. After 1 month of using it after I got it back (today) it happened again: the OSx hang -> force shutdown -> question mark on startup.
Could you please tell what can it be? It's obvious that it's no a hardware problem (in this case it wouldn't happen from time to time but be a permanent defect after the first time it occurred). I tried all the recipes found on the internet (command + alt + P + R; R to get recovery mode - disk utility sees only 1 partition on disk0 of 1.8 GB (I guess it's partition with the base system) and won't let me do anything - all options are grayed out; SHIFT won't let me into safe mode - no idea why; etc.). I also don't have a CD or anything with the mac OS, however even Internet recovery won't help - no targets to install it when it comes to it.
Have tried almost anything and asked almost anyone among my IT-connected friends, but in vain. Thank you in advance for your help! Will appreciate any piece of advice.

Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
      1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
      2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
      3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
If this fails then see: OS X (Lion/Mountain Lion)- About OS X Recovery.

  • MacBook air 128 or 256 flash storage

Should I go with the MacBook air with 128 or 256 flash storage?

I should just follow Dominic23 around the MacBook Air and post this link everywhere -
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/Aura_Pro_Air_2012
So yes it is possible to upgrade your MacBook Air with a larger SSD if you decide in the future that the current capacity is inadequate.
Without knowing your needs, it's really impossible to determine if the upgrade is necessary. Do you have a lot of media (Music, Movies, Photos) on your current computer? Do you intend to continue to add to this collection? What is your purpose for the machine? How about applications, do you use multimedia applications or application suites that require a significant amount of installation space?

  • When I plug my iPhone 5 into my Macbook air it just repeatedly flashes the trust question whilst vibrating and will not connect. My iPad connect to the macbook fine tho. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I want to connect my iPhone to my macbook to backup all my photos but it just vibrates constantly and flashes the trust computer question over and over.
    Any help would be great.

Talked to AppleCare and it's most likely the fact that my MacBook has 3.0 USB ports and my non official charging cable can't support that. So yeah, I'll try a new cable, hopefully that's the fix.

  • Cant connect my iphone to macbook air via usb

my usb port at my macbook air doesn't work. i cant connect to my iphone. this goes also to my earphone jack at macbook air also cant plug in

    Try resetting your NVRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

Just picked up my MacBook Air and need Adobe Flash for Adobe Connect for a class I'm taking.  I've downloaded it and installed it, clicked finish but when I run the test for Adobe Connect I keep getting the message that I need to install Flash.  Any help is greatly appreciated as I am new to Mac.

  • I want to add the Flash driver to my Macbook Air

    Hello,
I am using a Macbook Air with 128 GB flash driver.
In the Apple store, can they install additional flash driver to my computer ?
otherwise, is there any other method to buy or install additional flash driver ?
    Thanks.

Apple will not upgrade computers. You can buy after market solid state drives - see OWC for example. The upgrade is relatively simple and OWC has training videos showing how to do it as well as tool kits with the tools you'll need. While Apple won't install it for you, many 3rd party repair sites will.

  • MacBook Air Slow Youtube Buffer

I got a MacBook Air for my birthday two days ago and I found out that it is almost impossible to watch Youtube videos due to slow buffering. On my windows laptop I can watch YouTube in 1080/60 without any stopping, but with macbook air I cant even watch videos fluidly on 360p, I have downloaded chrome, changed my dns and everything and it is still the same. Any ideas on how to fix it?????

You have 14 days time frame in which you can exchange your macbook air for a new one without any questions asked.
    Simple, exchange it...
    Hope this helps....

  • Increase the hard disk drive capacity on a MacBook Air

is it possible to increase the hard disk drive capacity from 64 to 128 G? How do I do it?

It would appear Apple does not intend for you to do it.
It might be possible, if expensive.
I would consider an external drive.

  • Going from MacBook Pro to MacBook Air

I'm debating going from a 2006 15" MacBook Pro to the new 13" MacBook Air.  (I watch a lot of tv and do some photo editing).
The screen size difference is the biggest thing that's holding me back.  Has anyone else made this transition, and have opinions?
    Thanks!

I too had an older 15" macbook pro, .....youll love the transition, forgetting all the improvements the AIR will have over your older PRO, it also has a sharper more contrasted LCD led backlit screen than your/my old Pro.
Most all agree that a sharper nicer slightly smaller screen is greeted better by users than a larger low contrast older screen.
To mention also.. fasters read / write speeds, better battery life by far than your old pro...etc etc.

  • I'm considering going from my macbook pro to a macbook air. Good idea?

I don't use my laptop for anything more than entertainment (music, photo, web surfing). I'd also like a lighter laptop.
Will I miss my macbook pro? Am I sacrificing anything "major"?

    Hello Kbenso,
If Storage space is not a concern then Macbook Air is better then Macbook Pro 13" (Non Retina) in following terms
1>The Display Resolution for Macbook Air 13" compared with Normal Macbook Pro 13" (Non Retina) is better so you get better Image and Video Quality
2> As Macbook Air comes with a Flash Storage which is much faster then a SATA HDD which Macbook Pro comes with.
3> And as Macbook Air doesn't comes with an Optical drive and also as it comes with a Flash storage it is much lighter then Macbook Pro (Non Retina)
Note : As Macbook Air comes with Onboard Ram and Flash Storage it cannot be upgraded later if you wish to upgrade.

  • MacBook Air and iTunes Match

How does one move an album purchased on an iPad set up with iTunes match to an iPod.  I have a MacBook Air, but the music does not sit locally on the device.  I used to have all my music installed locally on my MacBook Pro, (no problem here.  Sync and go )  but now that I've upgraded to the MacBook Air I cant figure out how to get this album on to my iPod unless I use up solid state hard drive space to store music.

Make sure you are signed into the Apple ID you used to purchase iTunes Match in Settings>iTunes & App Stores.  If you are, try tapping the ID, signing out, then signing back in.  Then try turning on iTunes Match again.
