MacBook Air wi-fi doesn't work at home but does everywhere else?

Hello everyone, out of the blue recently my mid-2012 Macbook air started having wifi issues at home. Everywhere I go except my house the wifi works excellently. This would lead one to believe my home wifi is at fault, however all of my family's devices (ipad, iphones, pc, etc) connect to and use the wifi just fine throughout the house.
Even more strange is the fact that when I am in close proximity to the router (in the basement) the wifi works and is fast. It also works in my kitchen, but strangely does not in the living room 10 feet to the left or in my room upstairs. If it does rarely work in those areas, it is extremely slow and does not take long before it doesn't work at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Just a side note, I updated to OSX mavericks hoping this would solve the issue but it did not.

BIS doesn't work on 9360 but does on other phones!PLEASE HELP!

My brother gave me his Blackberry Curve 9360, with BIS still working. I added BIS to my mtn topup 50 as an extra, and BIS won’t work. It works on my curve 8520, but for some reason won’t work on the 9360. My brother was cell c, so I figured out if it wasn’t maybe that it was locked to cell c carrier, but it isn’t. I have wiped the phone a few times, even removed the OS and restored it, but BIS still doesn’t work. Please Help Me, I have been at mtn already and they don’t know what’s wrong!!!! In some cases, the PIN is locked to the prior carrier for some time. It may resolve itself in a couple of days, or you may need to get your brother to call Cell C to have them release the PIN from their network. It should then be able to start working on MTN.

if it's a PowerPC program, there is no way it works with 10.9 Mavericks. Search the forums and you will see hundreds of similar posts with the same answer. The only way to use a PowerPC program is with 10.6 or prior.

TS3274 Sound doesn't work for games but does for everything else!

The sound doesn't seem to work with the games but works with everything else ..... What's the reason for that and how do you correct that?

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

Google Search Timeline function doesn't work in Firefox but does in IE

I use Google for searches. After receiving search results there are additional options along the left sidebar. The "Timeline" feature takes the search results and sorts them chronologically and display the results on a timeline. This feature used to work fine in Firefox. Now after receiving search results when I press the "Timeline" option Google tells me that my search "did not match any documents."
I assumed the problem was with Google but when I finally tested it in Internet Explorer I discovered that the Timeline feature worked fine. The same exact URL in IE properly displays the Timeline sorted results but when pasted into Firefox it produces no results.
Please explain what could be causing this or I may have to switch browsers which I'd hate to do. Thanks.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

About a month ago I updated my adobe flash program & since my MTS accelerator doesn't work on firefox but does on internet explorer. any help?

After this update I couldn't get online because a message said I needed
a proxy server & it couldn't be found. I contacted MTS & they told me
they don't use proxy servers & the MTS rep told me what to do to change that setting & then I was able to get online but the MTS accelerator wouldn't work so The MTS rep told me to uninstall it & download it again but nothing changed. I am a computer nerd so know very little about how the programs work so hope this helps

IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Dual channel doesn't work in green but does in green/purple?

Just bought 2 512mb OCZ PC3200 Plat. rev. 2 and tried to put both sticks into Channel A (green). My system didn't post, and the Dbar had 1 green in the upper right corner (saying memory damaged or installed improperly). So, I moved one of the modules to the first purple DIMM slot; now I have DIMM 0 and DIMM 1 filled. I noticed in the manual that I should fill the green slots first, then the purple.
Is this going to be a problem having one DIMM on green and the other on purple? My sandra test shows that I have about 5950mb/s memory bandwidth; would both greens be slightly higher than that? Am I going to be screwed for overclocking?

Green is DDR CHANNEL A - Purple is DDR CHANNEL B
of course DUAL CHANNEL will only work when you have one MODULE in EACH CHANNEL, as is the nature of DUAL CHANNEL

Extractions, refine edge, using the brush tool doesn't work on iMac but does on MacBookPro

When in the refine edge interface the brush tool will not work on my iMac but will on the MacBookPro. I haven't reloaded the program yet as I don't want to loose my plugins. Will they stay in tacked? Does anyone know how to fix this? Frustrated that Adobe won't help because I haven't the latest and greatest!!

Mailing .pdf attachments to Presto Printer doesn't work with Firefox but does with IE, how can I fix this?

Since upgrading to 4.0.1 the email address [email protected] indicates that there is something wrong with any attachment in .pdf format. This happens when I send mail from my yahoo or aol mail accounts when using Mozilla. It does not occur if I'm using those mail accounts and Internet Explorer.
[email protected] lets you see what an email will look like when printed on a subscriber's Presto printer, which is a printer that is used without a computer, it periodically calls a toll-free number and looks for mail sent to that address. I believe anyone can send mail to [email protected] and will receive a reply back, so you could test tweeks to Mozilla that would resolve the problem. This issue started in September or October of 2010, was resolved by Presto at that time, but has not been resolved with the 4.0.1 version.

MS offers some advanced features only for its own IE browser and not for other browsers like Firefox.

The Norton toolbar does not appear on my desktop version of Firefox 24.0. It does appear on my laptop version of Firefox 24.0. The desktop shows that Norton was disable as incompatible with 24.0. But there is no "enable" button. How do I get Norton toolbar back?

It sounds like you may be using different versions of the Norton toolbar. The one on the desktop must be older and not updated for v24 of Firefox. The one the laptop must be newer.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

i have installed the latest version and i keep getting messages saying that i need to install the latest version. Nuts! what's up? i do have 'clicktoflash' installed which prevents ANY flash content running until i click on the content. it works fine everywhere but on the ADOBE site tutorials. How stupid is that!

Have you checked that they are selected in System Preferences>Sound>Output tab?
If that doesn't help, and although I've never had to use it myself, I've read on here occasionally that launching Audio MIDI Setup in the Utilities folder and messing with the settings in there can sometimes sort out audio problems.
