Unable to get mouse to work with Macbook OSX 10.6. Is mouse compatible with Macbook

I can't say for sure about a 3000 mouse, but I recently bought a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 to use with my Mac mini running 10.6.4 and I found that the disc supplied did not have the most up to date software. The 'check for new software' (buried in the Microsoft mouse preferences, not the Apple 'Software Update...' ) claimed there were no new versions available.
However, when I went to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/ and looked in Download Software I found a newer version. After downloading and installing it the mouse works well.
There are several types of 3000 mice listed, 'IntelliPoint 7.1 for Mac' is recommended for the ones I just checked on (also my 5000, which came with 7.0). Have a look there for your exact model, and see if the download is different than the supplied software.

I had held off on upgrading to Mavericks because of the issues surrounding the compatibility with Microsoft Word 2008. I am a student and need to use Word to do my work as well as having all of my current documents, including my thesis, in 2008 format. Report Generation Toolkit Compatibility with Microsoft Office 2013 and LabVIEW 2012

on this page there is shown the Report Generation Toolkit Compatibility with Microsoft Office and LabVIEW.
In our company we use actually LabView 2012 and it works perfectly with MS Office 2010.
Has anyone ever tried the "Report Generation Toolkit" of LabVIEW 2012 with MS Office 2013? Does it really not work? Has anyone an emirical value for this topic?

as you sure have seen in the link it is not officially supported by NI, which means to you one of the following things:
1. You could upgrade your LabVIEW and your Report Gerneration Toolkit to Version 2014 and use MS Office 2013
2. You could just try it with MS Office 2013 which might work but if it's not working you don't get any support from NI.
Even if someone tried it already and it worked for him does not mean that it will work on your machines. It is possible that on some of your machines it could work but not on others. Their can be a lot of problems while playing around with unsupported setups.
3. You could leave your setup as it is and stick to your MS Office 2010.

Plz Help - Issue with Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000

Hey everyone..
Lil story to begin this one. I am a mac user for 2 years, and I love it. I recently got a job doing digital artist/retouching working at a big photo studio in my locale - they use windows xp. After working there for a while, I realized that the mouse control/acceleration on windows is far superior to mac os x (in my opinion, and others as well).
I went out and bought the Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 on recomdendation because it uses the mouse drivers from windows (different acceleration curve). It works fine for movement, yet the software that allows me to assign expose features to the wheel button DOES NOT WORK. Nothing will make it work - it only shows the active windows. If I try to assign dashboard to that button and click ok, it doesnt' work. Even after restarting, it still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?!?!? (i know it's MS, but this should be working right)

installing the drivers was the first thing I did. Still does not work - I then uninstalled everything - went snooping on the microsoft site and actually found the intellipoint 6.2.1 drivers, installed those, and the mouse wheel button does still not work

IPhone trying to mate with Microsoft wireless mouse.

I know this is hard to believe, but when my iPhone is within 2 feet of my Dell PC, I can move the cursor on the computer. But once the iPhone realizes that it has a captive audience it starts moving through menus, clicking, moving to new items. I thought I was under attack or that the microsoft wireless mouse was going ballistic.
This doesn't happen on any of my apple products. The fix is just to keep these two animals separated.

If you drag to another folder it moves. If you drag to another disk, it copies.

Command key while dragging

InDesign compatibility with microsoft publisher ?

Even if you use a converter tool from markzware or someone else you should create new files from the scratch as both programs work very different. You might need some training classes. But I would recommend to change to InDesign as this program is far superior to Publisher and can produce much better PDFs. It is worthy to learn it.
If you use converted files you might run into unexpected problems.

Can anyone tell me if they are able to connect up a wireless mouse to their MacBook. Maybe a mighty mouse. Or any other, it would be handy.

I use the bluetooth Mighty Mouse and love it. As far as I'm concerned it is well worth the money.
No matter what wireless mouse you get I recommend mouse zoom to help control the cursor speed.

Not unless you run Windows. Office 2007 is a Windows suite. For the Mac you need to purchase Office 2011 for Mac OS X - www.mactopia.com.
Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows. The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. Weblogic Portal 10.2 compatibility with Microsoft Windows 7

We are planning to install WebLogic Portal 10.2 onto Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System(OS). But, we are not sure if there will be any compatibility issues with this version of OS.
Please let us know if there are any known issues when we run WebLogic Portal 10.2 on Microsoft Windows 7 or if there is any patch that we need to install along with WebLogic Portal 10.2 to make it work on Windows 7.

Is there any chance Adobe will add import from Microsoft OneDrive to Photoshop Mix, like it has with Dropbox?
I have 1TB of OneDrive storage - as an Office 365 subscriber - so it's where I am consolidating all of my cloud files. I don't want to pay for Dropbox as well.
