MacBook continuosly  rebooting and screen gone mad

Sorry if this is a known problem, I could not found any useful information.
I tried to start my mb today and it worked for like two minutes, then shutdown.
Suddenly it got in a routine of restarting before the desktop appears. Actually, just some second after the first screen (the one with the apple an the moving round thing) appears.
About one time out of three instead of the reboot I get a confused screen with horizontal black lines and divided in columns with different background, which looks like line noise.
Being an idiot, I thought It could depend on the OS being messed up so I inserted the install CD and now not only it is still doing the same, but I can't get my disk back because the "eject" button does not work.
From time to time I am able to reach a readable screen with a message in 4 languages and a big power button on the background saying something like "please shutdown".
Someone has hints or should I go straight to an assistance point?
Thank you in advance, this is my first mac and I've been enjoing it till now,but suddenly I don't even have a clue on what to do

I took my week 21 Blackbook to the Apple store today and even though he couldn't get it to fail in the store, he still sent it in for repair. I think that they are finally doing something about the problem now. Here's hoping that it comes back fixed. I'm back to my old PC Laptop for the next week. I hope I don't relapse back to the Windows world.

Is it visible at all? If so, drag it to a new location, hit the "Done" button to close, close your document and launch InDesign again. By the way, are you on OSX or Windows? I'm on OSX and that works for me. My InDesign version is CS6. Hope this helps.

  • MacBook keeps rebooting, grey screen and unable to get a log in screen

Have no idea what has happened! Looking through mail yesterday, nothing else. When I went to log in last night it started rebooting and then shut itself off. Every time I try to turn it back it on it has grey screen, apple icon and begins to reboot itself and then simply turns itself off again. Cannot even get to log in screen. Any advice on how to get my log in screen back and stop this process?

  • Macbook pro reboot white screen

I had my computer plugged in and left it for 6 hours.  My Macbook pro went to screen saver mode.  I came back, hit the space bar and the circle spun and spun so I hit the power button.  A minute later I reboot the computer.  The screen came on and nothing else.  I waited and waited.  Nothing!  When I barely touch the power button it turns off instantly.  I hit the power button again to turn it on and same thing.  Power light comes on very bright then dims and then blinks and goes out.  When I hold the power button for a long time I here the power up sound and then nothing.  What can I do?

  • Restart unsuccessful and screen gone back after software updated

I just got my iMac back from the store for hard drvie replacement programme. When I back home, I used the original OS install DVD to start up my computer, all went smoothly till the software update check, I tried to updated the software and restart the computer as per request, but the screen gone black and my computer never can start up again. What's going wrong? Can anyone help?

    Hello,
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS.

  • Wet my macbook with milk and screen turned white.

Yesterday I spilled skim milk on my macbook pro. (newer version) I panicked and wiped the milk with a towel. Then wiped it with a damp napkin. The macbook worked fine and none of the features inside were damaged, keys worked too. I searched what to do and some of the comment I read was to spray the macbook with a spray-water can. So I sprayed the macbook a little bit and put it upside down to dry. Today I took it to an apple store, I told them my situation and turned on my macbook in front of the assistant. She checked it and fined me 565$. She said something in the computer could be damaged. I am pretty sure my macbook works fine, its just the keys and that they stick to the bottom. So I took the macbook home and charged it(since it had only 9 min left when assistant checked). Then a white screen showed up with a gray apple in the middle. and a loading bar on the bottom. Then the loading bar faded and instead of the bar, there was a circle which was going round (like when loading). Ive waited for 20 min and still no luck. What do I do????

Oh, please. No one in the world can "fine" you for damaging your own computer. They can charge you for repairing it, but they can't charge you without doing anything. When you paid your "fine," did you think you had committed a crime? Did you wonder why you hadn't been tried for it, but had been summarily declared guilty and punished with a large fine? Did you actually pay?
Turn your computer off and leave it off. Disconnect the AC adapter. If your machine has a user-removable battery, remove it. Lay the machine with its keyboard face down on a towel overnight (hang the screen off the edge of a tabletop so the keyboard can be level and in contact with the towel). After a night of that, stand the computer up on its front edges with the screen open 45°, like an A-frame house, and set up a household fan to blow room-temperature air through it for a minimum of 48 hours to dry all the remaining moisture out of it. Do not try to start it up during this time. If at the end of this treatment your MBP won't start up or any of its keys fail to operate normally, it will have to be repaired. You have voided its warranty with the original spill and the additional water spray, and whatever repairs it needs, you will have to pay for. Whatever you pay, it will be a fee for repair work, not a "fine."

  • Macbook air reboots during screen saving or suspension

    Hi,
I bought the Macbook Air in Feb 2011 and everything working quite well. It has been updated to the lates EFI 2.0. Problem: it often reboots while in screensaver and/or during suspension. I run Onyx and nothing wrong. May I ask if any of you have an idea about this problem?
    Thanks
    Raymond

Do you mean Adobe Flash? I have the player (for browser) but not the full product. Is there a way to halt the system and show the kernel panic screen, instead of rebooting automatically (like Windows BSOD)?
    Thanks
Your system logs may still be there even after hard reboot.

  • Desktop picture has disappeared and screen gone blue

my 18 month old has got to my keyboard, and my desktop ahs gone blue and my picture gone, and the menu bar across the top keeps disapperaing, I have tried changing the picture but it makes no difference, help please?

If none of that helps try this...
Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
    Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

  • Rebooted and calendars gone

Yee gads, I rebooted my iPad and now my calendars are gone. Still have them on my iMac, but they've disappeard from my iPad. How do I get them back??? I hate to say it, but it almost feels like Apple is going the way of Windows... I'm having too many little problems. I hate fiddling with my devices, I just expect them to work.

    On the iPad:
Settings > iCloud > Turn Calendars off, if prompted, delete from iPad (to prevent the possibility of duplicates). Wait for it to finish then turn it back on. This will force a re-push from iCloud.

  • Is anyone experience reboots and screen freezing after updating to 7.1 on iPod Touch 5?

Is anyone experience the same thing? It's almost impossible to use my device now as those bugs occur each 10 minutes or so, and does Apple pretend to fix it on a future update?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Lumia 620 Rebooting and Freezing

My family have 4 Lumia 620's between us and all of them have been having problems with random reboots and screen freezes since the Lumia Black update.  I have tried resetting them and have verified that all the apps were updated (In all 4 cases "access point" required updating as it never automatically showed an update was needed) but this has not resolved the problem.
The reboots sometimes happen when using the phone, for example in IE, and sometimes just when the phone is sitting, not being used. Freezes usually happen on the lock screen, requiring the phone to be rebooted by holding down volume and power.
On a few occassions, the phones have reset their date and time after a reboot and eventually correct it automatically.
On a couple of occassions, a reboot sometime during the night has reset the alarms causing them to be missed.
It seems to only be the Lumiz 620's that have this problem as I have a Lumia 820 and 520 which are not showing the same problem in-spite of being upgraded to Lumia Black.
My family are very frustrated with these reboots and freezes and are now considering moving to another platform.  Please help as I would like them all to stick with Windows Phone for when 8.1 is released.

hi mate, sorry to hear of the problems you have been experiencing. in this case, the only option you have left is to perform a hard reset, and failing that, a visit to your nearest Nokia Care location for inspection of your handsets is mandated.

  • Nano'z Gone MAD!

Hello, I have an ipod nano 1gb, and its gone MAD!... at first it was working all fine, then it told me to restore it using itunes... So i did that, and the problem stays fixed only long enough to fully charge the ipod. Once i fully charge it, the same message appears. "restore using Itunes"... and suggestions on what may be casuing this?

Have you updated the firmware you are trying to restore with? Have you updated Itunes?
Try the five rs. That might fix your problem.

Try a pram reset;  Power down in the normal procedure, power back up holding the following keys before the start up chime ;  option, command,P,R (no commas)continue to hold these these keys until you hear the start up chimes 2 times, then release. Reboot and see if this helps. If this persists, you should bring the machine to an Apple store, or an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider)  Hope this helps:)

  • Uploaded my pictures from my iPhone to my MacBook- Some of the videos I made show that they imported and play sound, but no picture- are they gone?

I Uploaded my pictures from my iPhone to my MacBook… Some of the videos I made show that they imported and play sound, but no picture… are they gone?Becuase they offer to delete what was imported, so to save space i did... Is there anything I can do to restore the picture?

Do your videos play in QuickTime Playerwhen you reveal one of them in the Finder with "File > Reveal > Original"? Try to open the revealed movie in QuickTime and see if it plays.
Check the format of the movie. You can see it in the Inspector in QuickTime Player from the "WIndow" menu: Window > Show Inspector.
iPhoto does not support all movie formats and codecs that QuickTime player can play, and not all frame rates.
See: Using AVCHD video with iPhoto '11
If the movie does not play in QuickTime Player either, install QuickTime 7 for more codecs.
