Macbook display unexpectedly changes resolution and cannot be changed

The internal display resolution recently changed unexpectedly such that I now have 1 inch black bars on both sides of my display and the right, left and bottom edges of all images and applications are not viewable. I have gone to system preferences to change the resolution, but the dialog box for changing the resolution pops up far to the right and off of the viewable screen to the point that I am unable to select a different resolution. I have not installed any new hardware or software recently and did not change the resolution, this problem occurred spontaneously. I can see the edge of the display resolution settings box, but I am unable to drag the box to the viewable screen or select any of the other resolution options. Help!

Try starting in Safe mode and see if the screen boots into a normal resolution when starting safe. If it does, change the resolution to something not native that still is useable. Then restart normally and see if the problem is gone. If so, set the resolution back to what it should be (1280 x 800).

if you have a cc subscription, close ps > sign out and then back in to your cc desktop > open ps.

Are you saying you've lost the "Basic" tool tab?
If yes, just right-click on one of the other tabs and select "Basic" from the context menu that's presented.

My business process is we create new batch to replace/substitute the delivered batch when customer return is happen (in outbound delivery process).
that condition is running well when the return sales order not refer to billing document (billing document for previous sales order).
But when the return sales order refer to billing document (billing document for previous sales order), the old batch (batch that delivered) cannot change. there is error message when i try to change the batch :
"Batch 0000000521 was proposed from initial transaction and cannot be changed"
What should i do fix it ?

Hi,
In T.code VTAF, go to the source and target document type and then go to the item details.
There you can find a box Donot copy batch, check the box and save.
Create a new return with reference to billing document and check now.

Have you tried a Reset: Hold down the home and sleep buttons, wait for the Apple logo, let go of the buttons.
If that didn't work try a Restore from your backup in iTunes. If that fails Restore it as a new iPhone in iTunes.
And if all the above fail, you do not have an employer profile on your iPhone, and there are no Restrictions set, get it serviced.

I changed jobs and had to change emails/Apple ID. Before doing so, I did not save my photos from the photo stream to the camera roll. Now, all the old pictures that are still on my iPhone are not streaming to the iPad, only new ones. Please help.

Before doing so, I did not copy the pics on the photo stream of my iPad to the album and now the only pics being synce with my iPad are new pics either saved or taken on phone. Old pics are still on phone. There has to be a way to get these pics to be able to stream them on to iPad, right?

You have a couple of options to get them in your photo stream:
Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)
Or, you can add them to a shared stream and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99). The shared stream will appear on your iPad and you can either leave things this way, or save them to the camera roll on your iPad and delete the shared stream. They won't be in your photo stream but they will at least be on your iPad.

Changing resolution and image size doesn't change result on screen?

I'm using Photoshop CS3. I am trying to change the resolution of several images that will be printed in a newspaper. So the current images are 72 ppi and really huge -- for example 36 x 27 inches (document size), and when I change them to 300 ppi, the image sizes shrink to about 8 x 6 inches, as I expect. But the image I see on the screen doesn't change. So, for example, when I open up the image originally, it's at 33% and the entire image is visible. After I change the resolution, and the image size has changed accordingly, the image still appears the same and it remains at 33%. Shouldn't the image shrink on the screen since its size has shrunk? Or if it remains the same on the screen, shouldn't the percentage shift? I mean if the document size is now 8 x 6, it should be able to be displayed at 100% and not fill my whole screen... I'm so confused. Thanks...

The "Document Size" area of the Image Size dialog is just to indicate the size (in inches) that your document will be printed. The ppi adjustment has nothing to do with what is displayed on your monitor. Your monitor doesn't care anything about ppi. The monitor contains a certain number of pixels and after you change that ppi setting, the monitor will still have that same number of pixels.
As long as you leave the "Resample Image" box unchecked, your image size (Pixel Dimensions) will not change. You will see no change on your monitor. If you check the "Resample Image" box, then your image size (in pixels) will change.

Looking for suggestions for a new display: What size, resolution and refresh is recommended?

I've been using my laptop display, 15.6" and its just too small. I figured I'd purchase a display to plug into the laptop. I'd like suggestion on specs. I figured a 20 to 23 inch would work ok but I've seen some folks with dual screens. Lastly, I have no understanding of resoution, refresh rates to look for or brands to either look at or stay away from.
Any help would be great.

The good news is that you don't need to worry too much about the specs -- just about any monitor you purchase will be OK. First choose a size that fits in you work area, then pick the monitor from that range of products that has the highest resolution and refresh rates -- the monitors will all have very similar specs.

Video out without changing resolution and projecting a window

Hi,
Every time I need to project my screen, I have to change screen resolution to a smaller one - which makes all my icons bigger and changes everything.
Is there a way to project the actual screen as it is - with the same resolution?
Also, if I wanted to project a single window (and keep on working on my computer outside that window without having the audience watching) how could I do? An example for this would be projecting a presentation from my computer whilst i'm reading my notes on the same computer's screen... Is there any software to do this?

Only if the projector supports your Mac's native screen resolution, and few projectors at this time will run at that high a resolution. Otherwise you would have to run the system in extended desktop mode so that the screen and projector run independently. Given your second comment, that might be what you really do want to do. Keynote, I believe, supports presenting on one screen while having your notes on another screen.

Default PXE Boot.wim "stuck" and cannot be changed

We would like our default PXE boot.wim to be the x64 boot.wim. Somehow, it has been changed to x86 and it cannot be changed back. I am aware of the method by which config manager chooses which disk to use (last deployed TS to a collection), but despite creating
multiple deployments utilizing the x64 disk, it is still defaulting to the x86 one. We have 2 main collections that TS's are deployed to, and both of them have a most recent deployment using the x64 disk.
Anyone have any ideas what is going on, or where I can look to get this changed?

You referred that you have deployed task sequence via the iamge. Is the task sequence still bind with the image?

Can I change resolution and embed font in cloud acrobat?

I need to be able to change resolution on one manuscript pdf, so I purchased the monthly cloud acrobat, but now I'm not seeing the capability to change resolution on the document.
I don't have an ongoing need for high resolution pdfs, so my normal MS Word to pdf is usually fine.

Nothing in the world can increase resolution if that's what you want. Reducing resolution is done via Save as > Optimized PDF.

My daq card PCI6025e' digital ports PA,PB,PC are in high state and cannot be changed even in MAX 2.1 testing panel and continuously output 5 volts even set for output.

The MAX utility is the closest to the driver level and will eliminate software configuration as a possible issue. Please disconnect anything that you have connected to the DIO lines.
Use the MAX test panel for your DIO lines, configure them as outputs, and set them to a low state. Use a multimeter (DMM) to observe the line state. If it is still high then you may have a problem with your hardware. If this is the case, I advise calling National Instruments support and investigate a possible RMA (repair).
