MACBOOK DON'T CONNECT WITH LG FLATRON LCD DISPLAY

Hi friends!
I bought a LG FLATRON LCD DISPLAY Model M1994A.
My Macbook 13" have a 10.5.6 Leopard.
The fact is when connect de Macbook with LCD screen thru VGA cable and miniDVI adapter. Plug the miniDVI adapter, and the screen of Macbook blinking forever at the blue screen; the lcd has the message "NO SIGNAL"
If I unplug the miniDVI adapter, everything gets back to normal on the macbook screen. I plug it again, I get the blinking blue screen.
Tried rebooting, unplugging everything else from the external screen, no luck.
If I boot the macbook with the external screen on and the macbook closed, then it is recognized a little bit: appears the apple boot screen then blinking, but when I want to use both screens, it will blink again.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!
Regards from Chile!

May not be any help but, I have the LG W1952TQ and it works great with my MacBook. You may try going to system prefs, click on displays, then click on Detect Displays and see if that works, I had to play with the resolutions some and ended up selecting 1152 X 864 setting for mine.
Hope this helps ya,
Barry

  • Macbook can't connect with/to iMac

I've got an Mabook and an iMac, plus an airport extreme. Both can connect wireless to the internet, my iMac sees and connects with the macbook just fine, but when I try to connect my macbook to my imac it sees the imac (it shows up under 'shared' in finder, but it won't connect. It keeps on trying and after a good few minutes it just tells me the connection got reset or something like that. What can I do to have my macbook establishing a connection with my imac?

I've had this problem before... hopefully your fix is as simple as mine was.
You should double check the iMac's "Sharing" preference pane and make sure that file sharing is enabled. It's confusing because there is a "Guest" account set up so that everyone can get to the publicly accessible "shared" folders (that's why the iMac shows up on your MacBook's finder) but you won't be able to actually log into the iMac unless it has file sharing turned on.
    I hope this helps!

    Hi,
Do you mean that you can connect to the Windows Vista PC in your office from other PCs? What error message do you receive when you connect to Windows Vista from your Mac?
Regarding the credentials, if your Windows Vista is a domain computer, you can use this format:
domain name\user name as the User Name. If it is just a workgroup computer, you can use this format:
Computer name of your Windows Vista\user name.
Credentials: The user name and password to be used for the remote PC you are connecting to. If no credentials are displayed, the log on screen will be displayed after clicking the remote
desktop. The user name can be entered in the following formats: user_name, domain\user_name, and

  • MAP don´t login in the clients when the pcs don't connect with a domain

I have a network with a normal pcs (as home pcs) with out domain; but i try audit the network but always launch the same error "Failed - Access Denied". I read in the internet and this problem is present when the netlogon service is down , but
this service can't enable because this service only enable when the clients is connect with a domain controller. I need a solution. We have an ideas or solutions?
    Thank You!!

Inventorying workgroups can be difficult, especially when it comes to remote access and network security. Because workgroups are not centrally managed, some of the items discussed in this
wiki article on preparing your workgroup environment may require you to visit each machine individually.
For non-domain credentials, you do not use the <systemname>\<user> format, you simply enter the user name. Regarding how to enter the credentials, if you have an account that uses the same username and password on all machines and is an administrator
on all of those machines, then you can enter that in the All computers credentials page of the wizard. You can also do this if they are different user names. However, if some machines have an account with the same user name, such as Administrator,
but different passwords on each machine, you will need to use the Manually enter computer names discovery method, and then enter the information for each group or each machine.
As you can tell, workgroup environments can quickly negate any benefit that the agentless inventory nature of MAP provides.

  • MacBook Pro loses connection with Bluetooth Headphones

    Hi,
Every time I turn off my bluetooth headphones and then turn them back on, my mid-2009 MBP loses connection with them and forces me to re-pair them. It comes up with an error where the only option is "Stop using headphones" - does anyone know a solution to this?
    My headphone are Sony DR-BT101.

  • My macbook can't connect with my iphone, my macbook can't connect with my iphone

can't connect my laptop mac book with my iphone 4, keep on telling me to unlock my iphone password, both iphone and laptop already logged in with my apple account!!

You can't do it because that is not, and has never been a feature of the iPhone. Bluetooth file sharing and bluetooth sync are not supported. The only thing for which you can use a bluetooth connection with a computer is tethering.

  • Connecting an Apple 17" LCD Display to my PowerBook

    Hello
I'm a complete novice at displays and I need some very basic advice!
I'm thinking of getting an Apple 17" LCD Display off eBay. I know I need a connector/adapter and these seem to be also available on eBay although they do seem to vary from about £4 to £30! Do I need other connectors - say for power? What are the combined power connectors I've seen? I want to link it to my 550 Powerbook Titanium.
Is there a specific connector I need? What do I need to look out for? Is there a reason why they vary in price? Is/was there an Apple part number I can look out for?
Also, can I use the same connector to link up a non Apple display?
What do people think about Formac flat panels?
    Any thoughts on what's best?
    Thanks Russ

Hi, Russ. The Apple Studio Display 17" LCD (with a
clear acrylic case) connects to a Mac through its ADC
port, which is designed to feed video data, USB, and
power to the display through a single cable. Your
550MHz Tibook has a VGA-out port, which does not
supply power to a connected display, nor does it
supply USB to enable the USB port(s) on the display.
Apple's system requirements for the Studio Display
include an ADC or DVI port on the computer driving
the display. Your Powerbook model has neither, so I
suspect it can't drive the Studio Display at all.
    http://support.apple.com/specs/displays/AppleStudioD
    isplay17LCD.html
All other LCD displays I've ever seen offered for
less than $2000 are distant runners-up to Apple's
LCDs in image quality. I don't recall whether I've
ever seen a Formac LCD, but I would expect it to be
comparable to the general run of the low-end LCD
marketplace, i.e., cheaper than Apple's offerings and
    far inferior to them.
When actual selling prices for identical items on
Ebay vary widely, it generally reflects limited
demand, variable supply, and differences in patience
from one buyer to another. Someone who feels a need
to "buy it now" will gladly pay a premium; someone
who can take it or leave it this time and is happy to
wait for a better deal next time an identical item
comes up won't pay anywhere near as much.
Thanks eww. But can I get an adapter which plugs into my vga port and converts to dvi? As I said in my post, I'm a no-hoper on all this stuff but I'm sure I've seen somewhere that Powerbooks like mine can display through an external monitor.
I mentioned the 17" Apple display because I (like you) think they are the best. I'm not too bothered about the extra USB on the screen but what you say about power also is a problem Can I get a power supply as well as a connecting adapter?
PS - I was also hoping to be ale to use the Apple display to give me a better view when using my G3 iMac DVSE but it looks that's a gonner too!!

  • Possible to use old macbook (mini dvi port) with 24 in LED display?

Is there a combo of adaptors that will allow me to use my older macbook (mini-DVI port) with the new apple LED screens- i.e. adaptors allowing mini-DVI to mini displayport connector that comes with monitor?

You need this component and a mini DVI to DVI adapter.

  • How can I connect my Early 2011" Macbook Pro 13" inch, with a generic Mini Display Port to HDMI connector, to a LG 32LD340 LCD TV, using Mountain Lion 10.8.2?

I have an Early 2011" macbook pro 13 inch (core i5 2.3ghz 4gb ram 320hdd) with Mountain Lion 10.8.2, and I want to connect it via Mini DP to HDMI connector, and a HDMI cable to a LCD TV LG 32LD340. When I had Lion OS, I had no problems at all.

If you have an external drive equal to or larger than your internal HD, clone your internal to it with either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

  • 1st generation MacBook not pairing/connecting with Apple Wireless Keyboard

I just purchased an Apple Wireless Keyboard to use with my iPhone and my 1st generation MacBook.
I managed to pair/connect my keyboard with iPhone on my first try.
So far, however, I have not been able to pair or connect my keyboard with my MacBook.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your help. Indeed, I followed the instructions for pairing and connecting the keyboard last night. I shut down my computer last night with the idea that a restart this morning might be helpful. Per your message, I attempted to follow the instructions again a moment ago, with no success.
Bluetooth on my MacBook and on my keyboard are both on. My MacBook is discoverable. Any thoughts about what the glitch might be?
    Thanks again!

  • Can I see if my macbook pro is connected with the 2.4 or 5 GHz bands?

Airport extreme with dual band, my computer can choose between the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands automatically...
Can I see which band my macbook pro is using? Is there a way? I am very curious which one it chooses and when.

Yes you can. There are several ways - some direct and some indirect. Here's a couple you can try:
    Method 1. Quick and Dirty
Click on the Airport menu icon in Finder when holding down the option-key. A greyed-out list appears with useful information you can use to deduct what you're connected to.
    - If the channel number is over 14, you are on the 5 GHz band. This is assuming that you have set up your networks so that the 5 GHz band is exclusively 802.11n and the 2.4 GHz is not 802.11n compatible,
    Method 2. Being sure.
Open Airport Utility, select your AEBS and click Manual Setup. Look at the line that says "2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Airport IDs". There you can see the network ID for the 2.4 GHz radio and the 5 GHz radio respectively. Now check the SSID number in the Airport menu as above (pressing the Option key, of course). It will be either one of the Airport IDs you just checked - the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz - and that's the one you're connected to.
    Hope this helped.
    Cheers.

  • 2nd MacBook has slow connection with Airport

I have a home network using an Airport Extreme connected to a DSL conection. I have a MBPro 3.06 Intel Core 2 Duo with 10.6.8. My wife has a MBPro 2.33 Intel Core 2 Duo with 10.5.8. When she is on the network by herself, she has good connection speeds. When I am on, her connection speed drops way off, and it takes her forever to go from one page to another on the Internet. When I close my computer down, or turn off my Airport, she has good speed again. My computer is closer to the Basestation that hers, but not by very much. She has 4 bars in her Airport Icon in the Tool Bar. She can go into my Office where I have an old G5 iMac that is next to a second Airport Extreme that we used to extend the network. She can use the internet fine with that computer. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
    Frank

My computer the MBP running 10.6.8 shows the following menu
My Wife's is below. I don't see a PHY MODE on her menu. Her system profiler shows a different Firmware Version.
Here is a shot of Airport from my Wife's System Profiler
Here is mine. For some reason, mine shows a lot more information than hers. We both are using Airport Utility  5.5.3. I notice on mine, there are 3 local networks called New Home, and 2 that are Frank Moore's Guest Network.
Thanks for replying to my message.

  • ICal and reminders on Macbook don't sync with iCloud

Just now when iCal crashed on my MacBook Pro I realise that it hasn't been syncing with iCloud (lost al lot of appointments).
Any change made on my iPad, iPhone and on icloud.com syncs perfectly; even back to my macbook!
The rest on my laptop (notes, iWork apps, mail, contacts) all seem to work and sync perfectly with iCloud.
However iCal and Reminders made on my laptop just don't sync to iCloud!
The other way around works nicely (reminders and calendar appointments from iPad, iPhone and iCloud.com appear promptly on the macbook).
I have tried everything i could find (restarting computer, resetting icloud prefferences, log out and in from icloud, starting new calendar, checking icloud account). Nothing works...
Any change made from my macbook just doesnt make it to other devices. From other devices back to my mac do work.
On my macbook all calendars I have are in iCloud.
iCloud is active (with same login as for other devices)
Would be great if someone could help me with this one!
    Thanks!

I have something similar and i will try to explain with my rusty english.
I have an ID on iCloud but i can't sync the iCal events.
On my mac there is everythign (appointment, notes birthdays and so on). On my iCloud there is nothing.
I suppose was something related with the old ID  (one just for ichat, not one of the ID that you pay to receive extra services or a @me.com account).
Now, as soon as the icloud features was installed on my Macbook Air I signed a new ID and initially everything worked fine. Emails on Mail and  contacts were syncronized properly but with the new ID. i did not check iCal account.
So i tried also with the old one (the ichat ID) and all was sync. So i realized that maybe Apple recognized same account or name and merge all the ID in just one.
    I was wrong.
The 2 ID's are not linked.
further checks add also this new weird stuff. in any case i cant sync ical accounts. i tried to switch from one to another ID. no way. i checked preferences in iCal on the mac. everything is fine. no way.
    do uu have any idea?
