Macbook drivers compatible to xp pro sp3???

Hi ever1.
I have a Macbook in my hand for the very first time. I'm trying to get the sound working.. as this mac has been formated a week ago and Windows XP Pro SP3!!! has been installed. From what i can see, the Leopard option is not for me anymore as it clearly specifies that leopard should be installed before upgrading to SP3!!!
any1... what can i do? i need to get the sound working on my Macbook (so i need the driver for a MacBook model A1181)
and if possible i want to get the camera working as well :-s

OK, let me strt over:
My macbook is a A1181 MODEL.
There is *NO MAC OS!!!* it has been wiped out and REPLACED with a new WINDOWS XP PROFESIONAL SERVICE PACK 3!!!
(I haven't made an upgrade from SP2 to SP3!!! it was SP3 straight away as i installed windows!!!)
All i need is the drivers for the sound board (i can't find them anywhere)
I'll say it again: WINDOWS OS SP3 (NO MAC OS), I need SOUND BOARD DRIVERS that would work considering i got Windows SP3 installed on this MacBook model A1181

I've been using Reader without any problems until yesterday when administrator installed Windows XP SP3. When I do a <Ctrl-P> to print, it takes about 30 to 90 seconds for the print requester to pop up. The program is locked up and not responding during the delay, although it does NOT say "Not Responding" in the title bar. While the delay is going, the SysInternals Process Explorer shows but fleeting milliseconds of Kernel or User time being used. Setting the priority from 8 to 13 made no improvement at all. I frequently print from the Reader and the delay drives me nuts! This hang-up needs to be corrected ASAP. I am sure it is a Reader incompatibility because it never happened before the SP3 update, the program is hung and doing nothing and everything works perfectly before and after the <Ctrl-P> is entered. Word or Excel do not experience similar problems. I just tried Notepad, and it sometimes hangs the same way but not nearly as long - maybe 10 seconds at the most and only the first time. After the first delay it pops right up. Adobe Reader hangs a long time every time. Any idea if Adobe is going to fix it or even knows the problem exists? Do they moderate or monitor complaints like this here or elsewhere? I don't want to think they know about it and are fixing it if they aren't.

I am Charlie and new to the community and have 2379-rhu T42
I can not load the last 3 drivers to this T42 with an IBM pre-load HDD with xp pro sp3.
i have done all the windows updates and been to Think Advantage tool box---it just flags me the drivers are not loaded.
I went to the Lenovo site and the Intel site......no joy in mudville
i went through a lot of the t42 driver issues in the forum posts, but not solved my issues (or covered them all).

I believe these three drivers should be what you need. Did you try to download and install any of these? If not try these and let us know if that works out fine or not.

New Found Hardware Wizard on Windows XP Pro SP3

hi, can anyone help???
had iphone connecting fine on desktop with Vista, I rebooted yesterday with XP Pro SP3 (fed up with Vista hogging all memory)
Installed and opened itunes and connected iphone and got a "new found hardware wizard" that attempted to find device drivers to no avail, iphone will light up with a yellow ! in device manager for as long as the phone is switched on, as soon as it goes to standby the device manager loses it.
Have tried various USB ports (all 2.0) and have succesfully opened other USB devices plug and play including my ipod video, but for some reason XP pro sp3 and iphone 3G dont want to talk????
Any suggestions?

Make sure you have the latest iTunes version installed, but at least 7.7. Better yet, reinstall 7.7.1 to be on the safe side.
Also make sure your XP installation is fully patched with the latest fixes for SP3.
If that does not help, consider reinstalling XP, but only SP2, which seems to have no issue with iphone 3G.
XP SP3 tends to be a bit troublesome with certain hardware combinations, but it's a bit hard to say what exactly makes it act up.

FingerPrint Sensor/Software not working right with Windows XP Pro SP3

Hi All,
I have a 3 month old Satellite Pro S300-S2504 (2.4 GHz CPU, 3 GB RAM, Bluetooth, firewire - was a custom build with most of the options I could get). The O/S installed was/is Vista Business. It came with a dowgrade XP Pro SP3 disc as well.
I bought a second hard drive - swapped it with the original and installed Windows XP Pro on it - having grown tired of Vista. I don't intend to keep both O/S's - but I didn't want to mess with what I had until I got XP working - and that's the reason I got the second hard drive for XP. Anyway, XP Pro is installed and working except the fingerprint sensor. As soon as I booted for the first time - with nothing but the factory everything installed, it prompted me to register fingers for the sensor. I tried but I got a database not found error followed by a sensor not working error. I got the latest updates for the fingerprint sensor, removed what I had - rebooted and installed the newer program - I got the same error. I then uninstalled the program again, went through the registry and removed all entries whose key had TrueSuite in it, rebooted and installed the latest version again - rebooted - and got the same errors. Looking in Device Manager, the sensor is working fine but once I try to register a finger and it fails, I then look in Device Manager and the sensor has a yellow error indicator. I used System Restore to go back to the original configuration and then tried the Fingerprint drivers/patches for Vista and for Windows 7. All of them installed but I got the same database not found error followed by the fingerprint sensor not working error.
I did end the program, then using Task Manager, I ran the Fingerprint utility as administrator - still got the same errors. I've completely reinstalled from the Windows XP restore CD four times trying to solve this and I can't get the fingerprint reader to register fingerprints - I always get that error.
I have a lot of graphic editing (movies) software as well as file conversion programs and a very stable version of Roxio Easy Media Creator that all works fine in Windows XP - but it all has problems running in Vista and I'm tired of the bugs that Vista seems have - and I want to use Windows XP Pro. I will try any suggestions. The fingerprint sensor and software works reliably in Vista. I even updated it and that went fine. I suspect there's a problem with the XP version of the software for my computer. I did notice that Toshiba doesn't sell the this model series with XP downgrade as an option anymore. I wonder if this is one of the reasons.
Anyway - I would very much appreciate help with this. Any ideas at all are welcome.

..a clean Win XP Pro install and it still doesnt work.There is a Win Xp key on the bottom of the laptop, but I cant seem to use it.
The Product Key that comes with the computer is useless to activate a retail installation. You would need to purchase a new one or convice Microsoft that an old one is no longer in use.
In the device manager it shows
Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
Network Controller
Unknown Device needing Drivers. I have searched and downloaded drivers and installed them but it still doest work.
Get the drivers from here.
Install the chipset utility first, followed by the display driver. Be sure to install the common modules prior to any Toshiba utilities, including power management.

Unable to fully sync with iPod Touch 1G and the (new/lat)est iTunes versions in a very old Windows XP Pro SP3 machine?

I keep getting this "The iPod '...' cannot be synced. The disk is locked and cannot be written to." error when I try to sync my 11 GB of music from my very old, updated Windows XP Pro SP3 machine to an old iPod Touch 1G (iOS v3.1.3). It has a brand new (lat/new)est iTunes installations too. I tried rebooting the the machine, disconnecting USB cables, etc. None of them helped. I did not have this problem in the end of 2013.
"Attempting to copy to the disk '...' failed. The device timed out."
"The iPod '...' cannot be synched. An internal device error occurred."
Sometimes Windows XP Pro SP3 thinks my USB connection is not fast? Huh?
No problems when I synched almost 8 GB of music to an iPod Nano 6G from the same machine and USB connector and port. Same collection, and random songs.
I tried again on a borrowed old 15" MacBook Pro (mid-2008) with Mac OS X 10.5.8 and iTunes v10.6.3. Synced from its local HDD to it without any problems.
So, I had an idea. I retried with iTunes v11.1.3.8, that I used end of 2013, in the same Windows XP Pro SP3 machine from scratch. It worked like the end of last year! No errors! Wow! :O
OK, so what changed in iTunes after its v11.1.3.8 to cause this problem?

I only see mdnsDSP from Apple in my WinSock Provider tabs in AutoRuns v11.70. I do remember I had a low memory error during a very long synchronization, but that only happened once. IAS 6.5 testdrive won't install on Win2000 Pro SP3

I have a problem when trying to install iAS 6.5 testdrive on my laptop with Windows 2000 Professional SP3. I have iWS 6.0 SP4. iWS has been installed for a while and has worked fine. But I wanted to evaluate iAS because I need database connectivity. Anyway, I read the whole installation guide before installing, but when I run the installer, after agreeing to the terms of use, I receive an alert about my DNS suffix not being correct.
I don't understand it because I've followed every step explained in this forum, such as:
* My laptop's file system is NTFS
* I have installed iWS.
* I have a static IP (actually, I also use DHCP since it's a laptop and I use it at different places) during the installation.
* I have set my computer's name and DNS suffix correctly (in the My Computer|Properties|Network Identification tab).
After seeing that this was not enough, I read all the posts related to DNS settings since this is the error message I'm getting from the installer: "Please use the valid domain name for the machine, before proceeding with the installation. For the instructions to set the DNS suffix on Win 2000, refer to http://docs.iplanet.com/dosc/manual/ias.html." I've used many domains, such as my real one and fake ones like mydomain.com and test.com. None works.
I followed the instructions in that URL and I'm still getting the same error. I don't know what else to do. I think re-downloading the installer it's not an option since it's a ZIP file and if it were corrupted it wouldn't let me extract it in the first place.
I would like to know how to be able to install it, or if it is compatible with Windows2000 at all.

I had the same problem on Win2000 Pro sp3.
Install Doc says that a static ip address is needed, but I am using DHCP. I "think" I am faking a static IP address by providing a DNS & WINS server.
This is what I did:
Go to MyNetwork->Properties->LocalAreaConnection->Properties
In the General Tab, DoubleClick InternetProtocol(TCP/IP)
This brings up a screen, in that click on Advanced... Button
Set DNS server & WINS server.
This info can be retrieved by executing ipconfig /all at the cmd prompt and reboot.

In any case I would suggest to get an audio interface which is *Core Audio* compatible. This means that you just need to plug it in and it will work with OS X’s integrated driver. I once had an M-Audio interface which needed its own driver and it had latency problems because of them. I am currently using the EDIROL FA-66 with 10.6.3 on my MacBook Pro. IMac 24inch - Boot Camp and Windows XP Pro SP3 - ZERO Audio

I've just used Boot Camp to install a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro SP3 onto my 24-inch, 2.4 gHz iMac.
Everything seems OK, except there is ZERO audio.
I've tried reinstalling drivers from RealTek, to no avail. I've downloaded RealTek's latest drivers (number 217) and they appear to install, but nothing works.
My Device Manager does not show any sort of Audio card whatsoever. Have I got some sort of hardware problem? (Audio works without trouble in OS X.) Why can't Windows find my Audio Card at all?

I also have the same problem. I installed the Bootcamp update for XP and then my audio does not work with XP anymore. It does work with Leopard still without a problem. I noticed that when I am in windows, and I turn the audio off of mute, there is a red light that illuminates from the Audio Jack. The Audio driver does show up on my control panel, but nothing is working. Is this a way to make us stop using windows?

Well I got the 13 mackbook pro retina, mackie onyx1640i three days ago and havent got the onyx and the mac to talk to each other. Problem is, mackie had a firewire 400 output and the Mac has a thunderbolt input. So i guess you got to use adapters? I have an old macbook pro and it does have a 400 firewire input. I dont know what they were thinking, they need a 400 firewire and one end and a thunderbolt cable at he other. Marco805

Wi-Fi Problem with XP Pro SP3

Hi there,
I'm using XP Pro SP3 on a late 2006 MacBook via Boot Camp. Everything works fine but occasionally the Wi-Fi connection drops and I can no longer access the Internet even though I don't get a warning and the icon in the task bar shows that the connection is still there.
I've already looked at this tread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1661854&tstart=0 but it didn't help me because my Wi-Fi adapter isn't from Broadcom but from Atheros.
Surely, I can't be the only one with this problem. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that since changing your router that you are no longer able to print wirelessly from your Apple mobile devices and you are unable to scan to your computer.
Please also run the wireless setup wizard found on the front panel of the printer to ensure it is connected to the new network. The instructions on how to do this can be found in your User Guide on page 32 in the section titled “To connect the product with the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
When you change the wireless router you need to follow several steps to ensure the printer and your mobile devices connect to the new network, regardless if the name and the password have been kept the same. The instructions on how to do this can be found on Wireless Printing Center – Troubleshooting Issues. In the section titled “Your printer was working over the network before, and now isn’t” there is a sub-section titled “Was anything changed or updated on your wireless router recently”. Please click on the + Read more and follow the instructions.
Once you have all your devices successfully connecting to the new network, please test scanning from your computer. If you are still unable to scan, please provide some further information:
1)       Are you getting any error messages when you try to scan? If yes, what are they and do they appear on the computer or your printer?
2)      Are you able to make a copy from the front panel of the printer? If no, does it give you an error message?
3)      Is the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet?

No Sound after Formatting the Pavilion A1519H to XP Pro SP3

Hi!
The original OS for Pavilion A1519H was XP Media Center Edi. 2005. I formatted the PC to XP Pro SP3, and I'm already aware for the procedures from HP sites. I already downloaded the drivers for XP Pro. After XP Pro, I also installed the Microsoft UAA High Definition Audio Driver as well as the Microsoft .NET Framework.
Then I installed the chipset and all the drivers. Everything seems OK except for the sound. The speaker icon and realtek sound icon was appearing in the tray. Mute is disable, volume ok, but still no sounds output. Once I plug in the green color audio connector to green output port of the PC (Back and Front), The Realtek sound manager detected but it shows not the green output port but blue input port connected.
Device manager properties shows all (including the Sound adapter) OK except for "other devices" unknown device shows.
But I'd already installed all the drivers and chipset properly.

I'd been in this realtek download site and already downloaded the sound driver "WDM_R238" for XP.
As HP instructions, I must install first the Microsoft UAA HD Audio driver then follow by this Realtek driver.
It still same, sound icons is there, Windows Audio OK, Speaker/headphones had been changed, mute disable. But still I don't have a sound..
Is there anything I's missed in the process?

Odd System Lock-Ups [XP-Pro SP3]

Something odd is happening, on my normally, and otherwise stable laptop with XP-Pro SP3.
I have observed that on Fridays, at about 11:30AM MST/USA, I get system lock-ups. Everything just freezes.
I have poured over Event Viewer, and nothing is getting launched at about that time. Really nothing in System, or Applications, from about boot-up, other than my Browser (Chrome). Not one Warning, or Error, and little real activity.
I cannot verify that this happens every Friday (do not remember it on Friday Jan. 13, for instance, but then the Adobe Forum Log-in went down), as I am often out of town. However, and based only on memory, this has now happened about 5 - 6 times, and always late in the morning, and on Fridays.
Normally, I only have my Browser open, though this time also had Windows Explorer minimized. During this AM, I had PrPro, PrE and Photoshop open at times, but none was open, when the lock-up happened.
I tend to suspect something is trying to update, but it's not showing in Event Viewer. A few times, there was a Norton Live Update Scan, but those were usually hours before. Those are not download/installs, as I have Live Update to full manual, and the same for all other such utilities.
Does anyone have any ideas, or perhaps a monitoring utility, that will gather data, better than Event Viewer?

hmm.... google.... i dont really trust google much....
i used to have something ( i use xp ) that basically I had total control over when to connect to isp etc and disconnect... but for life of me cant remember what it was. that was years ago.
now when i start computer it automatically ( partially this is due to isp of verizon ) connects and then gives me control of computer ( is part of boot and load process now ).
your prob seems to be some kinda scheduled thing is why i was thinking maybe turn stuff ' off ' that might be trying to update or something under the radar ( is part of the system more or less.. components ...)

you wont see this related stuff in event viewer type listings ... and gets kinda complicated to me at least.
