Macbook Frozen.. please help

Hello All,
First of all, my apologies for this long post.
I have ben having lots of problems with my macbook and the latest in the series is .. that now I am unable to do anything with my Mac. I just keep getting a Grey screen with prohibited sign.
Tried booting with the OSX tiger DVD's (by pressing the "C")but it wont boot. Tried restting the NVRAM etc, but to no avail.
On trying to boot with the DVD, it stops at 0% and remains there for ever,even when the disk utility doesnt shows any problem with any thing.
Am just clueless, as to what to do? I am facing such problems since 2 months after I bought this macbook. Everytime, I was able to solve it, sometimes by just repairing the permissions, and a few times, by performing clean install. But this time I am totally helpless.
Please help!!!

Contact Apple and get it looked at. Sounds like you may have a logic board problem.

I used cleanmymac for clean up files, always worked fine before maverick, now i used it yesterday and i can not open any kind of programs except google chrome , my last time machine back up was yesterday but according to him he can restore just complete back up and the last one is in october 2013, i am desperate .

The Hardware Test detected a RAM problem. Take out the chips and make certain that the connections are clean and reinstall them. Make certain that they are well seated.
If the problem occurs again, test with one chip at a time. Also swap bays if necessary.
Please indicate if you have installed new RAM and if so what brand and the specifications.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Slow Macbook Pro- please help, I don't understand previous advice.

I have a very slow Macbook Pro running on Lion 10.7.3.
I looked up this problem on the forums before I sent this message but I didn't quite understand the advice. I have been on something called Disk Utility and Activity Monitor but don't really understand what I'm looking for. It seems a large percentage of my mac is 'idle' if that makes sense. Someone said to look at Page Out but I really don't understand what that means and what sort of numbers are normal.
I do have some storage left so I don't think it could be that. A lot of my gigabytes seem to be taken up by movies and 'other'. I've tried deleted a load of videos but it hardly made a difference. I have Mac Mail and it seems very slow on my Macbook compared to on my Ipad and iphone. iCal is also very slow on here and it always takes a while to load internet pages. It isnt the wifi connection.
Please help and bear in mind I am by no means a Mac whizz so you might have to talk in layman's terms!

If you have more than ten or so files or folders on your Desktop, move them, temporarily at least, somewhere else in your home folder.
If iCloud is enabled, disable it.
Disconnect all wired peripherals. Launch the usual set of applications you use when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the page that opens.
Select the CPU tab.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Step 2
Launch the Console application in the same way as above, and select “kernel.log” from the file list. Post the dozen or so most recent messages in the log — the text, please, not a screenshot.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Do not post many repetitions of the same message.

Loud beeping and no start up on MacBook. Please help

After taking apart my MacBook today to try figure out a screen connection problem, I go to turn my MacBook back on and all I get is a repetitive loud beep 5 seconds apart and no start up. I have tried rebooting ram and re-seating it but still nothing. Please help!

Final Cut Crashes on macbook pro, please help!

I just bought Final Cut Studio 3, but Im having some issues. Final Cut Pro 7 crashes at startup, everytime. Motion 4 crashes when I click on "file". Color and DVD studio works okay-ish (I havent tried them out extensively)
Could this be due to my macbook pro 4.1 not being good enough? I have 4 gb ram, 2,4 ghz, and I dont think it has integrated graphics, so it seems to pass all requirements.
Please help me! I paid lots of money for this program, so it would be a shame if I cant get it to work.

I have a middle 2009 Macbook Pro, and want to connect an external monitor as primary monitor. My budget is around 300-400, and hope to find a relatively perfect one in that price range. I'm really care about brightness, and don't like dim/dark ones. I mainly use the monitor to watch movies and play a few games. 27 inch would be perfect....well, if it has to be smaller.
if anyone is familiar with monitor, please help me out.

I am surprised no one asked you the following question regarding your response.
What if I don't what 2 displays and I only want to support the external monitor? Can I be in extended mode and have only 1 display?
The reason why I ask is because I am going to buy a dock for my MacBook (2012). The dock forces the MacBook to close thereby rendering the internal display useless.
I think what I am after is some sort of "extended to external" mode.

Hello, I was trying to install Pro Tools on my Macbook. However, when I was asked for my password to install the program, i completely forgot it. I was only able to find disc 2 of the installation discs in attempt to restore my Mac OS in order to retrieve a password. When i called Apple, i was told that I would need to purchase Mac OS X all over again. After paying $149, I get home, and i get a message on the laptop saying that the program could not be installed on my computer. After researching, i figured i'd need to update my firmware. However, I do not see any macbooks under the available list for firmware updates. I tried to download one for an ibook, and it would not even open. Somebody PLEASE help me. I have purchased expensive software, and it is serving no purpose as of now. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

The Mac OS X package you purchased isn't usable on your Intel Mac; it only contains resources for PowerPC Macs. You need the MacBook's original disks or the Mac OS X Server Universal Binary installer.

When i put the recovery cd in it and click option buttom, then it boot up the recovery cd, but somehow it says "mac os x cannot install in this system" I couldnt remember the exact what it say, but may i ask why? how? please help me!

You probably need to reformat the drive. Boot from the installer again, and go through the first screen (choose your language), then go to the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility. Select your new drive on the left. Click on the "top level" of the drive (where you see the drive model number, not the name below it), and make sure that "Partition Map Scheme" at the bottom of the screen says "GUID Partition Scheme".
If not, go to Partition, set up 1 partition and name it, choose "Mac Extended (Journaled)", click Options, choose GUID, and click Partition.
If the partition scheme is already set to GUID, go to the Erase tab and reformat the drive as Mac Extended (Journaled). Then try going through the rest of the installer.

If Apple thinks it's a hardware problem, it's not something simple. Take it in for service.
Next time you buy a computer, don't do so until you're ready to open the box and use it as soon as you get it home. If you had had this problem within 14 days of your purchase, you could have exchanged the machine for a new one with Lion preinstalled, no questions asked.
