Macbook Game control puts default keys to "A"! help?

I recently installed an emulator and tomb raider on a friends macbook pro "13 late 2011. But since the other day the controls on my games seem to be thinking the "A" button is being pressed on the keyboard i dont understand why, but i cannot change this at all as it diverts back to A each time i try!! Please Help anyone!!!

I've have recently purchased a MacBook Pro 13. The system constantly gets frozen and unresponsive. No mouse control, neither do keys respond.
Even when not much of background processes are actuve except the default ones.
Kindly help!!

Only if connected to an external monitor and USB keyboard. Otherwise, you can try third-party software like Caffeine 1.1.1 or InsomniaX.

I don't think that you have to worry about arrow keys because they won't damage with their use (unless you hit heavily these keys). Using games, there are other things to worry, as the temperature of the Mac, but fans will turn on automatically when your Mac needs

How do I put a key back on a 2011 macbook pro?

So one of my keys was sort of pushed in, so my original plan was to remove the key and remove the scissor mechanism(i think) and then buy a new key and mechanism. But... I managed to remove the key(not the mechanism) without doing any harm, I think. Plans changed, I just want to put back on the key. But, it's not like the old macs where you can just ''pop'' the key back on. I got my macbook early/mid 2011. I can't currently upload a photo but I will try to soon. Any ideas on how to put the key back on, I can't manage to take the mechanism out.

Keynote and Macbook - How to disable "play" key from starting presentation?

I use Keynote to view lecture presentations with audio running in the background from the lecturer (in Quicktime 7) or music (in iTunes 9).
As such, there are times when I need to press the play/pause keys on my Macbook Pro's keyboard since the audio may have gone past the point I've read on the slide.
In Keynote however, hitting the "Play" key starts the presentation and stops the audio in the background.
How can I disable Keynote from taking commands from the audio control keys?

Hey thanks. But, I tried.
Where I hit the wall was, trying to figure out where in the menubar of the Quicktime app I could find the menu text for Play/Pause.
There is no such thing.
I need a menu command 'text' for this Keyboard shortcuts setting (sys pref) to work.
So, because of this, I can't assign the Play command to quicktime to anything else.
The default key is the Spacebar (Play/Pause) or the F7,F8,F9 in recent keyboard setup.
For now, I just Cmd+Tab between apps when doing the transcript.
True, I could use something else for transcript and then import text afterwards.

Please follow this process.
Only specify fields that should be changed
Select these fields by entering an X in the checkboxes
Enter a U in the UPDATEFLAG field
Always specify key fields when changing the data, including in the checkboxes
The configuration is an exception here. If this needs to be changed, you need to complete it again fully.
Maintain quantities and dates in the schedule line data.
1. Minimum entry:
You must enter the order number in the SALESDOCUMENT structure.
You must always enter key fields for changes.
You must always specify the update indicator in the ORDER_HEADER_INX.
2. Commit control:

How to put default section code in Automatic payment program(F110)

Is it possible to put default section code(BSEG-SECCO) in transaction code F110 for down payment transactions through Automatic payment program.
in our company section code is required field for vendor transactions, if i am doing the transaction F-48 or F-53 or F-58 , i can able to give the input for section code, But when i am executing the auto payment against payment request system showing the error message 'Please Enter 1001 As Section Code" based on my validation rule for section code for posting key 29 with account type K

Just confirm how many section codes you are having.
If you are having only one section code for your company code then you can achieve this by developing a substitution rule.
T.code GGB1
Prerequisite
BSEG-BUKRS = 1000(give your company code)
Substitution
BSEG-SECCO=1001(give your section code)
Here take constant and give section code manually
If you are using business area then you need to give business area in prerequisite and respective section code in substitution.
After you define the substitution you need to activate for your company code through T.code OBBH.

Are the default key commands completely different in L9 compared to L8?

Hi Guys,
I have had to reset my key commands to the defaults, and seem to have lost all my old key commands.
My commands with Logic 8 were the absolute default ones (I didn't change any of them!!) - here are some of the ones I used a lot:
Pressing 0 on the numeric keyboard was always stop. "/" on the numeric keyboard was always cycle on/cycle off.
Pressing control and using the up/down/left/ right arrows (the ones in between the QWERTY keyboard and the number pad) always zoomed in and out, vertically and horizontally respectively...
Pressing the "C" key was always click on/click off. Now it's cycle on/off.
My question is... can someone confirm that the Logic 9 default key commands are completely different, and that these shortcuts above have all gone?
I know I can set them up again, I guess I'm just puzzled that so many of the main commands would completely change their defaults for L9!

Some of the more in-depth key commands have changed slightly , but the standard ones are still the same.
Most of these you've described are ( or should be still ) exactly the same.
Make sure that you are still using the standard keyboard layout and language in *'Apple/system preferences/international/input menu'*
Mine swiched to German a few months ago and I had no idea what was going on.

I'm trying to replace default keys for a JCOP20 card using GPShell,
but after opening secure channel, and running this line:

Am I doing something wrong?

Great job using the Keyboard viewer to troubleshoot your issue so far. The following Knowledge Base article provides a great checklists of steps to pinpoint the issue a bit further:
One or more keys on the keyboard do not respond - Apple Support
Some keys don't work as expected
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Speech.
Click the Text to Speech tab.
If "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" is enabled, the key or key combination set to speak text cannot be used for other purposes or used to type text--click Set Key and change it to a less-commonly used key combination (try to use modifier keys such as Shift, Command, Option, and Control). Or, disable the "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" option.
Click the Accessibilty or Universal Access pane in System Preferences, then click the Keyboard tab.
Make sure that Slow Keys is turned off. With Slow Keys on, you need to press a key for a longer period of time for it to be recognized.
In the Accessibilty or Universal Access pane, click the Mouse tab, and make sure Mouse Keys is turned off. With Mouse Keys enabled, you cannot use the Numeric Keypad to enter numbers--instead the keypad moves the pointer (cursor). (There is an option to enable Mouse Keys with five presses of the Option key; you may want to turn that option off to avoid accidentally enabling it.) If Mouse Keys is enabled and you are using a keyboard with no numeric keypad or Num Lock function, see Unable to type while Mouse Keys is enabled in Mac OS X.
If the function keys on the top row of the keyboard are not working as expected, see Mac OS X: How to change the behavior of function keys.
If the issue persists, use Keyboard Viewer to help isolate the issue:
Click the Language & Text pane (Mac OS X v10.6) or International pane (Mac OS X v10.5.8 or earlier) in System Preferences.
Click the Input Sources tab (or Input Menu tab in Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier).
Click the Keyboard & Character Viewer "On" checkbox to select it (click the Keyboard Viewer "On" checkbox in Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier).
From the Input (flag) menu, choose Show Keyboard Viewer.
If the keyboard is connected and detected by OS X, the keys you type will highlight in the Keyboard Viewer window. Open TextEdit (or any text application), and try to type something using the keys that were previously not responding to see if they highlight in Keyboard Viewer.
Start from the Mac OS X Install Disc, choose Terminal from the Utilities menu and test the keys which were previously not working. If the keys work while started from the Install disc, then the keyboard itself is working correctly. Use How to troubleshoot a software issue to isolate the software issue that may be causing the keys to not respond.

Prevent games from grabbing every key & mouse button

I've been gaming a lot of native linux games (especially the Humble Bundle ones), and a great deal of them tend to grab the all the keyboard and mouse keys/buttons.
This means that NO keys work; for example, I've a mouse with lots of buttons, and some of these control my volume (via xbindkeys). Some media keys on my keyboard do this as well, and control vlc play/stop (also via xbindkeys), and some other switch desktop, minimize, etc (via compiz keybinds).
Is there a way to keep these games for grabbing these keys/mouse-buttons? I kind of lose control of my desktop while they're running. I belive they grab the mouse entirely somehow, though I must admit, I'm not an expert on this area.

I'm just using libx11-nokeyboardgrab now, so I let the sdl one go unmaintained.
libx11-nokeyboardgrab is incompatible with dmenu (edit: and password screensavers), but works with everything (also dialog pop-ups).
sdl-nokeyboardgrab doesn't grab non-sdl programs (Virtualbox, maybe Wine, I haven't tested it).
It doesn't prevent mouse grab, because that's necessary for FPS games and Virtualbox mouse mode.
I have thought of adding in a mechanism where the mouse is only grabbed on some condition. Like the existence of a "/tmp/grabmouse" file. But I've been fine without it.
One problem that occurs even with mouse grab enabled is that when the game loses focus, it loses the mouse grab too. When you switch back to the game, you need to do something to make it re-grab the mouse.
For instance in Urban Terror (FPS), when you switch back to the game, the mouse behaves erratic until you press ~ for Console (which normally ungrabs the mouse) and then press it again.

2. Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading
Symptom: After restarting or waking from sleep, my computer might not connect to the Internet
3. Reset the PRAM.
4. Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
5. From the Location menu at the top of the Network preference pane, select Edit Locations. A sheet will drop down. Click the plus-sign button to create a new location. Give it any name you want. In the new location, set up the Wi-Fi service with the same settings you used before. Click Apply and test.
6. Launch the Keychain Access application. Search for and delete all AirPort network password items that refer to the network. Make a note of the password first.
7. Repair permissions on the startup volume.
8. Turn off Bluetooth and test.
9. Reset the System Management Controller.
10. Reinstall OS X.
