Macbook has problems with HL LP3065 LCD

So, now I have it, my first mac=) I bougth the new aluminium macbook some days ago and yesterday I received the mini displayport -> DVI adapter (the small thing for 29$).
My problem now is, that the macbook recognizes the Monitor as the HP LP3065 correctely, but the shown resolutions stop at 1280x1024=( I know that the adapter is not for duallink DVI and for that I cannot reach the native resolution of my 30", but the singlelink max. of 1900x1280 would be enough to work.
Has anyone the same problems? I tryed the adapter with a 22" from Samsung. The macbook then shows the correct resolution of 1600x1280, so the adapter is ok. Does anyone knows how to force macOS to use another resolution for the external monitor? The monitors are not mirrored (different screens on the LCD of the laptop and the HP), and there are no other options on the GUI=/

I don't own your setup so can't say for sure, but it may not be possible to go any higher in resolution than 1280 x 1024 over a single-link interface. It depends on how the monitor is constructed.
Here is an example I do know about: when you hook an Apple 30" Cinema Display to a Mac mini, it will go no higher than 1280 x 800, even though the Mac mini can be hooked to a 23" Cinema and the result is 1920 x 1200. It turns out that in case of the 30" ACD, to go higher than 1280 x 800 requires a dual-link output from the attached computer.
So it could be some kind of similar problem, but I really don't know for sure. Does the HP spec say anything about supported resolutions over single-link?

Macbook has Problems with Airport Express newtork
I am using an Airport Express at home. I have my 20" iMac (OS 10.4.11) connected to the network with no problems. When I try to access the network with my Macbook (OS 10.4.10) I have all kinds of problems: I often can not find the network, when I do get onto the I get really slow download speeds (~3 mins for a web page), after waking the Macbook from sleep it can not find the network unless I restart. I even have these problems when the Macbook is right next to the airport (< 1 m).
I don't believe it is a problem with the Airport because my iMac connects perfectly from about 4 m away through the floor.
I don't believe it is the Macbook per se because I can connect to any open network without problems.
It seems to be the odd combination of the Macbook with the Airport.
Does anyone have any suggestions for addressing this issue?

Plug the AE next to the PLC and connect it to the Ethernet port of the PLC. Configure the AE to operate in bridge mode. If your PLC doesn't offer an Ethernet port, use one like the Netgear XAVN2001. If it's already taken, you will need a 4 port switch. You will also need a long 3.5mm audio cable if the amp is not in the proximity of the PLC, available from Amazon for under $5. Finally, create a separate wireless network on the AE.
Client
Connect the client to the AE's wireless network, not your existing network. The client in this case is an iPxd or other computer with iTunes or Airplay/similar PC.
The above basic configuration works flawlessly in my experience. If the Client is to distant from the AE's wireless, you can, as a second step, connect it to your existing network, but be forewarned that in this scenario dropouts abound and the AE frequently disappears from view. -
My apple macbook pro retina 15'' ME664 has problems with sound.Either there will be no sound at all or at startup there il be very scary and broken sound and afterwards still there would be no sound.Secondly , it does not start in one shot.atleast 2 to 3 times pressing power button for longer time starts it up and afterwards still there will be no sound. This morning i was not able to hear sound on my recently purchased macbookpro retina 15 inch model.My attempts to resolve this issue by going to system preferences and removing the mute box that was ticked as active. i had downloaded much earlier a mac version of logmein app and noticed that in the sound box noted above that there was a bar indicating that the default was now to logmein. i had never used this app. Why it started today, i have no idea. I moved the logmein application to trash and deleted the app , however it did not remove the default option which still blocked the sound.
Going to a macforum gave the tha anser that to remove the logmein app, it first had to be reinstalled a nd them use the uninstaller option ftrom the dropdown menu. for now that has resolved the failure to allow sound oputput. -

Sorry, but replacing the LCD screen is no option for the iPhone 4s. This can only be done with the iPhone models 6 and 5.
Apple will replace the whole unit if you are paying the service fee for the other models.

This transported issue started coming after power outage, sap system went hard shutdown.
Then we brought up the system. Before that , we do not have this transport issue.

Firefox has problems with images.
In sites like deviantART or ImageShack with full-view option, images that are not in full size/thumbnails get slightly pixelated e.g. http://img251.imageshack.us/f/screenshot2tq.jpg/
Long images get completely messed up if full-viewed e.g. http://img689.imageshack.us/f/screenshot5z.jpg/ (though if the file is only big, it loads just fine)
Also, thumbnails in some sites get messed up e.g. http://img201.imageshack.us/f/screenshotyr.jpg/
And in general, Firefox has more 'glitches' like not allowing to add more search engines. It wasn't like that before and I can only assume that it got messed up somewhere with updates, but I'm not really sure.
I've tried cleaning out cache, re-installing Firefox (multiple times) and even downloaded Firefox 4 beta, but the problem remains.
I use Ubuntu.
Does anyone else have similar problems? Or know where the problem lies?Do you have the latest driver for your graphics display card?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Pdf reader X has problems with small pdf and printer with post script driver
Hi friends.
I have installed new Reader X and then i saw that, when i print a very small pdf with about 50 kb and i print it on a Laserjet 4000 printer the printer has problem with the amount of data that reader 10 produces.
When i install a Postscript driver for the printer my computer makes up to 3.5MB printer data from a 50kb pdf.
When i install a PCL driver for the printer my computer makes only 350kb from the same 50kb pdf file!!!!
When i install Reader 9.3 the 50kb file becomes also only 350kb on the printer with post script driver, and i can print without problems also.
my printer has 8 MB Ram and that should be enough for 3.5MB printer data.
But when i print the pdf with 1 side only, the printer created a side who is only filled with 50% of the text, then there comes out a second page with the message.....not enough memory in the printer.
i can not change the postscript driver to a pcl driver cause our ERP System can not handle printer with PCL drivers.
Can someone help me please.........are there settings in Reader X who can solve my problem ???

yes I have big problems as soon as I open the video app i get a total black screen, even the upper bar with the time disappears. I already tried to:
1. closing the app and reopen it
2. restart the iPad
3. restore the iPad via iTunes
4. Begging the app to work again. -
with the new IOS 7 mi iPhone has problems with the screen, I go out once stripes, and Apple told me it is the software. help when there is a new update?????

i have got new hardrive to windows 8.1....when i open my PC so i get message on lower right corner - very short time - your photoshop has problem with compalitet....i have not used it yet or put brushes and so on back....LR is working fine...i can open photoshop without problem..and AE...what shall i do?...

B. Upgrade on vanilla plain (and updated) operatiing system goes flawlessly. Upgrade on "real" computer may depend on "status" of operating system and applications installed. You may not be the last experiencing troubles.
C. Software vendors expect that users has nearly unlimited disk size, large memory and latest processor.
D. It is on you to find anything positive to compensate annoyances. Mental balance is in your hands ;-) -

I recently just downloaded the 'Waze' app as a backup for my Garmin. I've read a few reviews that seem to rant and rave about how good the GPS app is. It is community driven and maps are constantly being updated by users. Plus it has a few other fun stuff in it (something similar to Gasbuddy where you can owe prices on the map). But like the person above me said, there is lots of useful free GPS apps in the App Store.
Oh and I may be wrong but I remember reading an article about Google being slower about updating its maps system--ie no turn by turn voice, which many people have had complaints about.

I also have detected the problem. It is not any physical malfunction according to me. It occures with my phone when I unplug it and plug it again. Sometimes is useful to change the USB port and afterwards to move back to the previous one. Try it and also try it combined with PC restart. It is a weird problem!?
