MacBook@ Home with Peripheries like a Desktop
Hi i´ve got a cool new MacBook, yep it´s a powerpack. Unfortunately im an Switcher from Windoofs ahm sorry Windows :o), so im not used to handle such a nice machine or any os x problems.
My Target is it to connect my Book to my Peripheries that i can use it at Home like a Desktop (or what ever its called, guess you´ll know what i mean).
So i have a Toshiba LCD TV 32" 32WL66Z and connect it with HDMI - DVI - mini DVI- Book. The Picture result is awfull, the Color is to Dark, Gamma seams to deep, on Book Display does the Background look like Silk on the TV like Plastik. So what can I do for it??? I tried so many adjustings on the MB that i doen´t know more what to change or to use.
Than I want to connect Keyboard and Mouse via USB to have a nice input, but when i close the Display and wan´t to wake up the MB like descript in the manual, it won´t work.!?????
My Mobile the Sony Ericsson T610 won´t do any Fax Jobs, any other works.
My Scanner HP PSC 1110 won´t do Scan Jobs or better i can´t Controll where to save or any other actions like i used on Windows.
Am I to lame to check it out, is there a trick or how can i get rid of all these stuff?

Try to install the latest driver that support your peripheral with intel mac tiger from their respectively sites.

Macbook Pro with SSD 10.8 OS install CC desktop failed
System disk (256GB SSD) has 210GB before installation process started, 16GB system DIMM available, OS is v10.8. The process of updating Creative Cloud Desktop could not be finished, system prompted warning message of "insufficient memory for app installation" even SDD still has 140GB left.

I still failed to install CC desktop successfully. Same failure encountered. It looks like the installation process could not be finished for some reason, the storage space in SSD was keeping consuming for more than 60GB. I would not believe CC desktop needs more than 60G storage for installation. I had already installed it on my Mac Pro without any problem. I tried to install it on my MBP as backup. My issue may also relate to my changing level of my subscription last week. I upgraded my subscription level from single app to full function last week by the help from Adobe Service staff. However, I still saw the older subscription was listed on my subscription list, even the service staff said he or she has already cancelled my single app subscription successfully. I started to get warning message of trial expiration soon today while I was using Photoshop CC. This did tell me my single app subscription has been cancelled. Why I still saw it in my subscription list? It is really confusing.

How to sync MacBook Air with Windows desktop
I have a MacBook Air and I would like have syncronized my documents, photos, movies, calendar, contacts with my windows desktop. I have Itunes installed in both machines. Why is not possible make MacBook Air does the same my IPAD does with my desktop?

If you mean "How do I mange e-mail and/or files between two or more devices"? You have to get organized.
If you have POP3 mail it's somewhat complicated: you set your "traveling machine" to receive (but not remove from the e-mail server) new messages. Realize that if you reply from the traveling machine that message will not show up anyplace but the sent box of the machine from which you sent the reply (you can export/import sent messages via a jump/thumb drive back to the desktop when you cease traveling). If you delete a message from the traveling machine you may/or may not have it also deleted from the e-mail server. All those choices or options are sent in e-mail behavior or options (what it's called/where its found depends on your choice of e-mail client)
The desktop machine is set to download messages from the server. When you are traveling the e-mail client must not be started or running (or you may miss messages on your traveling machine because they were downloaded at home before you turned on your traveling e-mail). Once get home you start your e-mail download all messages still left on the server - delete duplicates and import your sent messages.
If you have an IMAP4 e-mail client it's much simpler you set up the traveling machine to leave all the e-mail on the e-mail server. You will see all the "new" messages AND when you get home you can have the Desktop see/download your mail sent from the traveling machine as the traveling machine was acting as a "terminal". Again exactly how you do this depends on your choice of e-mail client.
For files you would keep a copy (or backup) on iCloud, or you could keep all your work organized in folders that can easily be transferred to jump/thumb drives or accessed through file sharing on your home network. -

I recently purchased a Macbook Air with 1.7 Ghz Intel Core i5 4 gb Ram 11" with 128 Gb storage.
All is well but I would like to increase the storage in my Mac, to the maximum possible 512, 1 tb what ever possible.
I am in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia right now. No Apple Stores exist here at the moment. But I have noticed several authorized resellers.
Kindly guide me if, first of all this is possible or not, if yes then how can I go about doing this being in the country (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) that I am.
I also want to purchase an iMac, but the local shops don't seem to have stock and would like to inquire if I could order it online and have it delivered to my home/office here.

I have recently purchased MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.7.3 Lion and I would like to install Final Cut Pro 6 Studio2, and it came up with this error: 'you can't open application FinalCutProStudio.mpkg because PowerPc apps are no longer supported......Is there a way to run FCP6 on lion withoput this error? Open System Preferences > Displays > select the window for you external monitor > click on the Arrangement tab and check the box next to Mirror Displays. It may be slightly different in Lion, but the idea is the same. -

It is connected to the net as dropbox registers a connection and so does skype. I can connect to the WiFi in work and on other networks when travelling. However, some other networks are now starting to fail. Can anyone suggets how I can fix it, as the MBP appears to be fine, its updated with all the latest versions of software and the WiFi network is also fine....just not with my MBP??

I'm signed up to the Cloud and itunes match - the whole game. But I cam getting annoyed with having to delete songs one by one on my iPhone once dowloaded from the cloud as I only have a 16GB phone....yes I listen to music non-stop! So, I am thinking about getting an iPAD as I rarely use my MacBook Pro for anything other than surfing and music now... so the question is: "On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone (if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account where I know you can clear down and refill with ease)????

Having trouble browsing the internet at home with my MacBook
I have been having issues browsing the web from home with my MacBook. When I try to go to pretty much any web site (Google, Yahoo!, Facebook, etc) the page starts loading and makes minimal progress before it stalls and I'm staring at a blank white browser window. The page will eventually load after about 3-4 minutes but only partially.
I have a Belkin N+ router (model F5D8235-4 v2) and a fiber optic internet service. My sister and my brother-in-law are able to access any and all sites quickly and completely. She has a MacBook Pro and he has a Dell Inspiron (so it doesn't seem to be a Mac vs Windows issue). We have tried changing the router password type from WEP to WPA. I've tried to hardwire into my router with no success. I have cleared my entire cache, history, and cookies - still no change. I have also not had any success with using a different browser.
I have no issues when I'm using my Mac at work (on a T1 line with an Ethernet cable) or at my mother's house (Netgear ADSL2+ wireless router). I'm curious as to what I can do to fix this. My Mac friends at work and my systems analyst/programmer dad are all as confused as I am. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!The Learning Center uses Flash. My guess is that you probably installed the PowerPC Flash plugin and replaced the Universal plugin that ships with the Intel-based Macs.

I'm trying to install Adobe CC on the 2nd computer, a Macbook and after downloading the CC desktop app I double click to intall. When it looks to be done installing I go to double-click on the ourobouros icon at the top and I am rewarded with the spinning beach all of death. Any suggestions?

Since you have another Mac, you could share it's DVD drive in System Preferences > Sharing.
Then use Remote Disc found on the MBair's finder's sidebar. This will mount the DVD in your old Mac to the MBair.

I log into my igoogle home page and then go to the Preferences option on the Firefox menu. I click the option to use the current page as my home page. As long as I am logged into Firefox it takes me back to my igoogle home page when I click on the Home icon. If I log out of Firefox and open it again later in the day it takes me to the igoogle log in page but not my home page. I have a Mac at home and do not have this problem and I do not have this problem with my PC at the office.
