Macbook keeps restarting, can't get past icon screen
I had to correct my permissions because I couldn't edit my address book and ical. Everything was working fine last night after I did the permission fixes. But when I booted up my Mac tonight, the farthest I could get was the white screen with the Apple icon and the animated circle. After a few minutes, the laptop will reboot itself and continued to do that for 30 minutes. I can't get past that screen. What is going on? How do I fix this? I finally turned off the Mac and am using my Dell.
The question mark on the file tells you that your MacBook wants to start up but can't find a viable OS to start from. Can you start up from the DVD that came with your Mac? If so, go to Disk Utility and see if you can repair the internal hard drive. If you can't see the hard drive from within DU, your drive may have failed, and you may need to replace it. Good luck.

Even when go on voice control screen and hold power off and home screen down nothing No response. Help please? My mother very sick in hospital and need my mobile!!
Have you tried to power off and on? If that doesn't work and the reset didn't work, have you tried connecting to iTunes to see if it is recognized?
If none of this works you probably need to visit an Apple genius bar and have it checked out by the techs. -
Want to play tv shows purchased on iPad on Apple tv. When I touch icon for apple tv and choose "apple tv" it asks for an apple tv password. We have never set up any password and can't get past this screen. Does anyone know how to find this password?
You can remove the Airplay password from the Settings menu on your AppleTV.

Can't get past white screen when laotop is turned on
How can I get my MacBook to boot, won't get past white screen. Battery is fine.
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Sounds like it could be a problem with the hard disk.
You can diagnose and perhaps repair the problem (if the hard disk still runs, but has errors) with these instructions:

Just realized that you're running OS X 10.7 Lion

My old iMac and OS 10.4 will not accept the New iTunes Version 10 application and I can't get past the screen offering to download iTunes 10. This is wrong and I need help getting past this situation. Help!
Sure, you can get around it if you don't need the newest version of iTunes. I still use version 7.5 because the newer versions didn't strike me as offering anything I needed.
If you do need a version 10-something then you will have to upgrade your operating system to Leopard (fi your computer will support it) at least. If you need 10.5 for some reason then there's no getting around it, you will have to buy a new computer. -
On my wife's iPad mini I can't get past the screens accepting the software license to upgrade iOS over WiFi.
Works if I do it over iTunes on my desktop.
I get the screens to agree to the software license (twice) then it sits there until I get impatient. like 30-60 seconds. Have tried a hard boot but have to connect it to the computer each time. Latest was when I upgraded to 8.2Solving the iTunes Installation Problems in Windows
1. Apple has posted their solution here: iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows- Unable to install or open - MSVCR80 issue.
2. If the Apple article does not fully resolve the problem for you, then try Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates - MSVCR80. -
successfully loaded ios7 to iphone 4s.
now iphone asks me to agree to terms and privacy, then it locks up and won't accept my "agree."
goes in a loop and can't get past this screen. Pls help. thanks.Have you tried resetting the device?
Hold down the home and lock buttons until you see an Apple Logo, then release the buttons.
If that doesn't work, you should check to see if you have a backup because you may have to restore your device. -

Can't get past gray screen with file icon on it
When i turn on my computer the power light goes out but the gray screen stays on. After two or three minutes an icon of a file with a question mark appears. I cannot get past this screen. I have removed my battery and tried again. I have also tried the other processes for a computer that won't turn on. In my case the computer does turn on just never gets past this gray screen. Please someone help me

I tried to reinstall Photoshop Elements from a disk and upon restarting to finish the install, I can't get past the blue screen after the grey Apple screen. I've tried booting into Safe mode and can get to the login screen, but when I log in, it accepts my password, starts the login process, but then loops back around to the login screen. Any ideas how I can get past the blue screen and some place where I can clean the offending application off my hard drive and reinstall the OS?
Incidentally, how much free space was on the hard drive? I am wondering if there's some kind of insufficient space issue here, especially after installing a large program.
Adobe has this [troubleshooting information|http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:qzZBfqgebGUJ:kb.adobe.com/self service/viewContent.do%3FexternalId%3D332811%22Photoshop+Elements%22+osx+systemfreeze&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us&client=firefox-a] on their website. (I had to provide a Google cache link because when I tried to load the page using both Safari and Firefox it gave a blank page.) What version of elements are you using? I notice you said you were "reinstalling" elements, and the help page specifically mentions doing that. Not that any of this seems to indicate why your computer isn't starting except that maybe the Elements installer damaged something in your OS while installing. At this stage you may need to try to repair the directory using Diskwarrior or consider reintalling your OS (yes, I know, flaky disk, but...).

I am unable to get past this screen in order to take care of this. I plug it in nightly. Wouldn't it just back-up ICloud then?

Updated to FCPX 10.2, can't get past splash screen
So, I got through a batch of projects, and finally upgraded to FCP 10.2
After installation, I can't get past the splash screen. I'm asked, via a dialogue box, if I wish to update my libraries / events. I do.
Then... I see rapid fire text loading and then updating libraries / events. Then it gets stuck on a particular event... beach ball... nothing.
I've tried several times, and it gets stuck on a random event.
I can't get past the splash screen. I've rebooted. Still nothing.Generally, if FCP opens under one account but not another, the issue is a corrupt preference in the non-functioning users account.
While in your user account, download and intall FCP Rescue (google it to find it), open it up (with FCP not running) and TRASH your preferences.
Try FCP again.
