MacBook Login Screen Wallpaper is not one of my backgrounds.

Hey, I recently changed my wallpaper and I've come across a problem.
My wallpaper is the same for my 4 screens, just one image. Sometimes when I open my laptop, on the login screen will be one of my previous wallpapers. This image has been deleted already, but it still shows up when I try to login.
How can I fix this?

Try swapping the memory modules so that the "bad" one is in the other slot. See if the problem follows the memory module or stays with the slot. If it follows the module, your memory is bad. If it stays with the slot, you could have dirt in the connector, or a bad solder joint on the PCB. If it is dirt, you can clean with compressed air. Otherwise, the fix is more complex and probably indicates a failing PCB.

I can boot up and login to my laptop - no problem. I have my login set up so that my user name appears and all I have to do is type my password.
The problem is when I try to wake my computer or disconnect it from my thunderbolt display. Sometimes, (more frequently as of late) when I wake my computer or disconnect it from my thunderbolt display my computer will revert back to a dark gray login screen and prompt me to put in my user name and password (First of all the login screen that comes up is different than the one that comes up when i boot up the laptop because it requests me to type in my user name). - once I type in my user name and password it will not let me log in. It will clear both the username and password fields and sit at this screen. At this point I am forced to restart my laptop and log back in. I never have any problems restarting and loging in right after booting up.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this? I do not think it is normal for it to just revert to the login screen and then not even accept my login information.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

The lock screen wallpaper does not show up instead

i updated my iphone to ios 7. for few days everything was alright, but suddenly one day the lock screen wallpaper does not show instead a translucent image of it comes just like you know when you pull up control centre. anyway to change this please help

SAP Login screen - keyboard shortcut not working

Part way through an SSO rollout (Imprivata Onesign) and have come across one terminal server that is not behaving as normal ie keyboard shortcut control+i does not position the cursor in the Client field on the SAP login screen. Instead it is treating the key combination as a standard Tab.
Has anyone come across this before or can anyone suggest how to diagnose.
I have checked the registry and there doesn't appear to be any custom keyboard shortcuts defined.
OS = Win 2003 Enterprise SP2
SAPGUI = SAP Gui 7.10 Patch 14

Login screen wallpaper on 2nd monitor

I have 2 monitors connected to my Mac. When I have the login screen up, only one monitor displays anything (grey effect background, login box, etc). The second monitor just appears bright white. Is there a way to have the second monitor display something, even if it's only the same wallpaper as the login monitor? This isn't really a showstopper, more of an annoyance.

Looks as though this very minor issue has been sorted out in the 10.7.2 update. Thanks Apple.

Lock screen wallpaper does not appear in the lock screen

I just reset my iphone 4 running iOS5 and set it up as a new iPhone. Everything appeared fine until I noticed the Lock Screen wallpaper I assigned does not appear after I lock it. The home screen wallpaper does. I hope someone can tell me how to fix this.

Settings --> Wallpaper --> (select whichever image or photo you want to use) --> Set, choose Lock Screen, Home Screen, or Both

Macbook pro screen & external display not workin

Hey. Last night I accidently dropped my macbook pro, not from very high, and I didn't think it would of damaged the computer this bad. When you turn the computer on the screen is basically white, if you let it load for a while two vertical bars appear on the right of the display. When you plug the computer in to an external display it looks simmiler to noise on a television. It's just a lot of horizontal black and white lines. Is this a problem with the display? the video card or the hard drive? I'm pretty worried as I need to get this fixed before I go back to uni. Without a computer I can pretty much not do a thing.

You can test the hard drive by connecting your laptop to another computer and using it in target disk mode: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58583
That way, if it's not the hard drive, you can at least salvage all your data.
I hope for your sake that it's the hard drive because that can be replaced fairly easily (assuming you backed up your most important data). If it's the video card, that means replacing the entire motherboard. Hopefully, you're still under warranty.

I am in my login screen, I do not remember my administrator password, and I want to reset the password. What do I do?

Macbook Pro was stolen. I didnt set up icloud on it. I set up icloud onmy iphone afterwards to ensure future safety if it ever gets stolen. How come when I log onto icloud on another pc, the user pic is my picture from my macbook login screen?

Does this mean the scum who stole it couldn't get in and change it? Is this a good sign....will this provide any way to track it?

It's picked up the photo from your Address Book. Without Find My Mac enabled on the Mac before it was stolen there's no way to track it. You should change your Apple ID password to prevent access to iCloud though unless you'd password-protected the Mac you can't prevent him getting at the data in that; but most thieves will probably erase the disk anyway to make it look like a legitimate Mac.

Still: Login screen not accepting any input

My login screen not accepting any input.
It appears the screen is not the front most one.
I have to move the main screen to see it and it
never becomes selected to allow input.
I trashed two plist files:
com.apple.storeagent.plist
com.apple.appstore.plist
Ran the combo updater.
The login screen still will not accept any input.

As with others, adding FM to exclude list in Application Enhancer does not remedy the problem.
One problem I encountered: when I attempted to disable FM via System Preferences>Application Enhancer, a prompt informed me I did not have sufficient access privileges" to enable or disable FM - same for Labels and Window Shade. Hence, I had to manually move FM to the disabled folder via the Finder, then, log-out/in to get the App Store log-in to cooperate. Anyone else encounter this problem?

Htmldb 2.0 login screen not showing proper screen and login does not happen

I installed htmldb 1.6 from the comapnion disk (10.2) and everything
worked fine. I could log into htmldb.
I then upgraded to htmldb 2.0 with no problems on the DB side.
I copied the images dierctory from the compaion disk to the right location
but when I try to log in I get a login screen that does not have the 2.0
splash screen and then when I type in my credentials nothing happens.

I copied the install image directory to this (as you can see)
I.e cp -rf htmldb/images /u01/oracle10/OraHome2
but when I log on to htmldb
(http://xxxx.domain:7777/pls/htmldb)
I get the htmldb logon screen but not the 2.0 splash screen. It's like
its not seeing the gif files.
I enter the workspace /username/password but nothing happens, no
errors, no web page cycle, nothing.......

It looks like your copy command was wrong.
cp -rf htmldb/images /u01/oracle10/OraHome2
will copy the images directory to /u01/oracle10/OraHome2, it won't copy htmldb/images.
You want to:
1) cp -rf htmldb/images /u01/oracle10/OraHome2/htmldb
2) Remove the directory /u01/oracle10/OraHome2/images that you created

Login screen will not accept special characters in password

So, I have a domain account that has a password that contains the character created by pressing ctrl and Backspace key. I have found that if you attempt to type that character at the windows login screen, it will not recognize that. If you remote desktop
to the pc from any version of windows, it will allow you to type in that character and logs in fine. If you went to change a local users password by using the Computer management mmc, it will allow you to enter that character.
How is it possible that this was overlooked, and is there a likelihood of it being fixed?
I'd like to point out that this occurs in windows 8.1 also. I have a large base of bilingual users that have Spanish and other characters in their passwords that have worked up until now.

If i understand you correctly, you could not type the special character at the windows login screen in windows 8.1, but remote desktop could. Am i right?

Login Screen Resolution Low after Mavericks install

After installing Mavericks OS X 10.9 on my 13" Mid-2011 Macbook Air, the login screen resolution is not correct. The icons are huge and the resolution is very low and grainy. I Only one of my user login choices was visible. Once logged in, the resolution is correct, but with some strange issues such as the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen is invisible until it is hovered over. The App store locked up. I had a bouncing folder named "sbin" appear in the dock, but I could not click on it or open it. That has not re-appeared after rebooting. If I boot into Safe Mode, the login screen resolution is correct.
Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that, but it didn't work. I even let it cycle through a couple of times before allowing it to boot normally. I also tried deleting some of the plists preferences, but that didn't work, either. I also noticed that any changes to the screen preferences causes the "sbin" folder to temporarily appear bouncing on the dock. I'm thinking there may be a damaged or missing file, but I really don't know how to troubleshoot this. I've been a PC techyt for decades, but I'm a newbie on a Mac.

How can I turn off the background blur effect on the Yosemite login screen on my 27" iMac?
Each time my family changes to a different user on the iMac, the wallpaper blurs (other than the small login box). It is as if you have lost your vision temporarily when such a large display becomes blurred. It is particularly bad if there is a lot of contrast in the colors of the wallpaper.

the VDI login screen/desktop selector uses the configured default locale from the Sun Ray kiosk session. You can change the default by logging into the Sun Ray admin UI (http://yourserver:1660) and selecting the Advanced - Kiosk Mode tab. Click on Edit and enter the desired locale (e.g. de_utf8) in the Locale field. Click OK to store your changes.
The next time a new kiosk session starts up it will take into account your changes. You can terminate all existing kiosk sessions by executing a cold Sun Ray services restart (see the Servers tab). Alternatively, you can also just quit your current kiosk session by clicking on "More Options - Quit" in the VDI login screen.
Please notice one caveat here: the specified locale must be supported on your system. For example, execute locale -a on a terminal to get a list of all your currently installed locales. If you specify a locale that does not exist on your system, then the kiosk session will ignore this and it will have no effect on the VDI login screen.

                 to create a login screen , you need not a BAPI, instead you can
create two views in a single application in which the first view contains ui elements like username , password and a button like submit. The thing is that
when you creating the button itself , you specify the target view i.e second view.
In the second view you can write the response like "this is second view" as
default text view.
Navigation: 1)openperspective as webdynpro-FILE-NEW -OPEN WEBDYNPRO PROJECT-specify proj name and package.
2)expand project-expand webdynpro components-create component(once the
component is created one window and one default view will be created).
3)double click on default view - go to context - right click on context -new value
attribute-specify attibute name as username and one more value attribute as
password.
4)go to view controller part of digram part - right click on view controller -select
apply template - select action button - specify name as Submit(here you need to select 2nd view ).
5)in the view controller part only you may get symbols for creating inbound plug and out bound plug , embed a view. select embed view as second view .
Then create outbound plug in view 1 and inboundplug view 2 and create a navigation link b/w them.
save all metadata.
6)go to applications under project-right click on it - create application as app1
and package as xxx.
7)expand applications -right click on our application i.e app1- select deploy and run
archive file.
          wait for the response (if everything is goes fine it will displays login page
with emty fields)
