I'm having the same problem. I got my battery replaced about 2 months ago because my Macbook Pro (got it in 2008) would keep shutting down after a minute or two of being unplugged, so I figured the battery was on the verge of death. Last night I noticed that when I had it unplugged the battery life was wavering between 1% and 2%. I plugged it in and it says "Not Charging". It was fine a few days ago, showing me a life remaining time.

- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

MacBook "Not Charging" after new power adapter.
Last week the power adapter that came with my 13in MacBook began to melt. I ordered a new adapter "60w MagSafe Power Adapter" plugged it in, and it lit up, but now my battery information on the screen says "Not Charging" and If I unplug the adapter, the computer completely shuts down. I had no problems with the battery or the adapter before the "meltdown" Gosh, My Mac was still charging even while in fire hazard mode Lol! Why is the new MagSafe adapter not charging my MacBook? Please Help!!!

Z10 will not charge & with new Battery will not turn on
I have have had my Z10 about a month now, I am gernerally happy with it as a work phone which is similar to my private Iphone5. Unfortunately the Battry life has been reducing on a weekly basis to around 4 hrs between charges. Now it is dead and will not wake up, so I bought a new Battery, now it blinks once the three times but will not turn on.
Any ideas ? The OS is the latest on the Blackberry site, but as I can turn the phone on I can't be more specific.Hello,
From your description, if your charger is "known good" (e.g., it can charge other devices), then one can only deduce that something (hardware) inside the BB related to passing power from the charger to the battery has broken. Or that something passing power from the battery to the device has broken.
Regardless, if your charger is 100% fine, then it sounds like a hardware problem for which no amount of OS/software level fixes nor internet-distance diagnostics can be of much value.
I recommend you seek formal support via your official warranty channel. Normally, that starts with your original place of purchase or an authorized service center -- it varies by region.
Good luck!

I have a 15" Powerbook 1.5 w/ a 1.5Ghz processor. I just bought a brand new battery and it will not charge. here are the facts:
- when i purchased the new battery and installed it, it had a 23% charge.
- the battery will not charge, after a week the battery is down to 19%( I keep it pluged in all the time cause I do not want it to completely drain)
- I have reset the power manager unit
- I have past the hardware system test( the hardeware test disc that comes with the computer)

- I love Apple but they are really getting on my nerves, I have had top send back 2 ipods(one they actually had the balls to charge me for shipping) because of battery issues( the battery would only hold a charge for 20 minutes)
MESSAGE TO APPLE!!! either lower you price or build your products in the USA so we can get quality product. Having to send a computer to you for repair is not the answer, you owe your users more than that for the price you charge.
sincerly,
Extremley LividMy wife bought me a new powerbook for christmas and I got it Jan 3rd 06.
Take it out of the box and set it up. Battery doesn't charge! won't Charge and apparently is a placebo! 2000.00 dollars, and counting. Imagine buying a new car without a battery under the hood! What the is going on??? I Go down to the apple retail store and they have NO 15" power books and no batteries because this is a big problem. They have been authorized to just swap out the computer, and or swap the battery. They are out of both till who knows when, (7 to 10 days ).! On the eve of the MAC WORLD CONFRENCE I am feeling sick about the whole IDEA that these power books were all sent out like this Apple should get them back before they are sent to consumers!! Apple and the reputation they have of being HIGH qaulity and RELIABLE is in trouble. How many class action law suites, POOR MERCHANDISE, ( I SENT BACK A NANO- CRACKED SCREEN and A PHOTO ipod that was purchased last Christmas- 400.00 dollar and a bum battery) Lets not forget the original ipod
LAW SUITE AND ALL, I had one sorry to admit. Qaulity is going down with Qaunity. I'm afraid to see what happens with the NEW intel Computers. It could just get worse. I just wanted to go wireless and I don't have a battery to
do that. So as I watch the mac confrence on my new 2000.00doller computer and am tethered to an Electical out let while getting stream from my new base station, I will certainly be thinking about how APPLE claims their stuff ALWAYS works better than a widows machine.... or does it really? -

You'll want to reset your SMC (System Management Controller). Instructions are simple:

New charger or new battery?
How do I know if I need a new charger or new battery? When my MacBook Pro is plugged in, it provides power but says (not charging) at the top. I do think my computer is losing charge A LOT faster than it used to. There are also times recently that the computer just goes into sleep mode in the middle of me working on something. Not sure if that's related.... TIA for any help!

Truck stereo will play iPod touch be will not charge it's battery
My truck stereo will play the gen. 4 touch 32 GB, but will not charge it's battery. It did play and charge the battery for the nano 8GB with no problems for several years previously before switching it out with the iPod touch last week. What gives?
Sometimes this works
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

My iphone 4 will not charge and the battery is dead how do i fix this?
My iphone 4 will not charge and the battery is dead how do i fix this?
If it's still under warranty, Apple will fix it, but you have to send it to them, so you won't have it for several weeks. If the warranty is expired, they'll still do it, but you'll have to pay for it. Last I heard, it costs $99/S&H.
That is the ultimate defect in the iPhone. No other cellphone has a battery that is not user-replaceable. I won't buy a phone that doesn't. -
When I plug my iPad up to charge it says not charging, and my battery drains very quickly what can I do to fix?
There are two different types of adapters by Apple that look similar. One is a 5 Watt adapter used with iPhones and iPods. The other is a 10 Watt adapter used with the iPad. Other than looking at the text on the adapter, which is hard to read, you can tell the different by looking at the socket the pin part plugs into the adapter. The 5 Watt has two notches and the 10 Watt has only one notch.
Make sure you use the 10 Watt adapter with an iPad. -
Hi everyone,
I just got back from a two week vacation to find that my black Macbook isn't charging. When I put the charger head into the laptop, the light remains green, and the battery isn't charging. I ran a CoconutBattery diagnosis on the machine and got these results:
http://i.imgur.com/mMobh.png
I'm not exactly clear on how to interpret these results, but I believe it's saying that the battery doesn't have any capacity for charging. Will buying a new battery solve the problem? I'm not sure if Apple sells the batteries for the older Macbooks now, either.
Thanks for any help!

I have just installed a new Battery after the old one showed (Not Charging) and when you clicked on this icon the dropdown"condition replace now". Problem now is the computer still shows the same message in the top bar (Not Charging) and the dropdown also shows "condition relace now". the magsafe show the greem LED i.e not charging, but providing power. If you disconnect the magsafe the computer powers off instantly confirming we have power. I have carried out resetting the SMC controller and still no change. Tested the standby voltage on the magsafe pins etc, all in spec. What should I do now, as I don't want to keep spending more and more. Bellow is the info from the system profiler.

Almost new battery won´t charge, does not work on AC
After spending a few days in Taiwan (110V) the battery of my PB G4, A1138 won´t charge any more. Power connector lights amber.
After coming back to Austria, i connected the PB for 2 days and it would charge again and worked proper. Now, 2 months later, the battery again refuses to charge, coconut battery & system profiler say that there is no AC power connector & battery is not charging. It won´t power up with AC connected. I did the PMU reset and PRAM reset - no effect.
The battery is an original Apple replacement and has only 40 loading cycles. i´ve measured the voltage at the battery connector in the battery slot (3V & 6V depending on the pins), so the charger provides voltage.
Can anybody tell, if the DC-in board is faulty or if it´s the logic board or something else?
I´m thankfull for any advice! It's fairly common for the pre-MacSafe power connectors on the computer to loosen due to stress. The points where the barrel-shaped chrome connector assemble is soldered (or flowed) to the logic board lose contact and you get intermittent charing at best.
If you connect to A/C adaptor and gently wiggle it up and down, can y ousee charging start again/ "Up" is the position where the contact should again meet.
My 1Ghz 17" MBP will not start on A/C alone until the battery has a little charge. I don't know it's the dead internal backup battery (common) of something else that causes two good 65W power supplies to report in Profiler as 45W. -
