Macbook not starting up after water spill - beeping sounds

I was cleaning the keyboard with water while it was turned off and accidently spilt about 50-100ml of water onto the keyboard, also accidently turning the computer onto sleep mode at one point. I tried cleaning up the water by letting it drain, but it started coming out of the sides of the computer. That's when the computer started making a strange beeping sound like it was an alarm sound so I quickly pulled the battery out and left it to dry out, took a night for the water to stop dripping out of the sides. In the morning I used a haridryer on coold settings to try and evaporate any remaining water, and tried plugging the power cord in and turning on, but it's not starting up!
My macbook was the 2008 model so it's past warranty, but it's only 2 years old and I really can't afford to buy another one right now because I'm just a poor college student
If anyone has advice on what I could do I would be really greatful...

Have you tried turning the computer on while the computer was plugged in?

IPod touch not starting up after charging

My iPod battery died on me (normal) and I put it on the charger for the night. It made the battery charging sound and I though everything was fine. The next morning I pulled it off in the morning but did not try to turn it on until a few hours later. The iPod would not respond. It still didn't respond after I plugged it in to another charger and into my computer. I still get no response

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

ITunes will not start even after permission repair, disk repair.....

Let me continue plst files, deleted old install and re-installed, downgraded version, ran disk warrior, tried new user account. Backed up everything re-installed fresh OS, still did not start, installed update plus latest version of iTunes. Still does not start. Called Apple support, did the usual permissions repair etc..... Ran Apple Hardware Test no problems found, TechTools Deluxe no problems, MemTest no problems.
On hold now waiting for Apple support again. I am assuming at this point there is a unknown hardware issue. Any ideas?

You really went the extra mile trying to pin down the culprit! So.... who was the culprit anyway? which hub? the keyboard acts as hub, was this powered or un-powered, too? which would be of interest.
Instead of hub, maybe a PCIe USB2 card?

Device won't start, even after charging (WT8-B-102)

I recently bought a Toshiba WT8-B-102 and i have some problems with it.
First of all i couldn't install the BIOS update for some reason, but that isn't a huge problem for the tablet works fine
but now i can't start it anymore. yesterday i had the same problem, left the Tab alone for a while, (on the charger) and after that it didn't start/boot. half an hour later i tried again (after taking it of the charger) and then it started, but today it won't start at all. Even if i charge it for some hours, then try it again, try to start it while being charged, etc. This is not good right?
I also don't see some led burning or any other sign when i attach it to the charger. Any ideas or help guys?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

Itunes does not start even after reinstall

Hi Ituners,
I have a 64 bit windows 7 PC. Itunes recently crashed. When I tried to run it, my PC would freeze up and I would have to reboot it. I followed the directions from the apple forum on doing a complete unistall. When I went in to uninstall the individual programs, Quicktime was not on the list. ??? I removed the other programs and went through the itunes related folders. Found quicktime there and deleted the folder (as per the instructions) and rebooted the PC.
Reinstalled itunes and all related programs showed up, but itunes will not run. I hit shift/ctrl and clicked icon to start program in safe mode. Pop-up on screen says that I may continue or exit. When I hit continue, it closes. Nothing after that.
Any help here would be nice. Itunes has become a major thorn in my side, but I need it for my Apple tv.

Playbook will not boot even after charging

I have this problem for nearly a week and can not resolve. I think this is a MAJOR ISSUE of playbook since there are a lot of complains here but NO VALID SOLUTION is offered. I consulted all the related posts here and tried every possible solutions but nothing works.
My Playbook can be charged until LED indicator showed a soilid GREEN. According to Playbook manual this indicates that the battery charging process is done. However, I can not boot up my Playbook. When I press POWER button , LED indicator shows a red light for 4 seconds then it goes off. LED indicator then goes dead and nothing start.
THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM OF PLAYBOOK.
My question now for everybody is:
Does anyone have this problem fixed ?
Is it worth it to pay more money to get support from RIM to fix this problem ? (because if this problem can not be fixed then I will stop using my Playbook and look for an Android tablet available on the market. If this problem can be fixed, I will give another shot...)

Here is some more observations:
1/Sometimes the LED shows a red light for 10 seconds and everything goes dead (nomre LED)
2/Sometimes while pressing 3 buttons (Power and + and -) I heard a sound similar to the sound when you press the button capture of a digital camera but not as loud.

Lightroom 3 will not start, even after deleting the .LOCK file.

I have read about deleting the .lock file and that did not work. I have restarted my computer and that did not work. I tried opening a backup catalog and that did not work. I delete the .lock .journal and the catalog and the resorted from the back up. It created a new cataloge but it still did not work.
Any Ideas?
All my software is updated. and was working before.

Thanks for the help. However it did not work.
I held the Option key and was able to create a catalog. I should explain LR3 tries to start. Then I get a message that LR3 unexpectedly quit. I am trying one more thing. I only had 15GBs of space on the HD. I am clearing more space to see if that works. I had updated the OS too.
OS is Lion 10.7.3
and LR3 3.6

Firefox 5 hangs after new install at Checking the Add Ons and will not start even after reboot

Downloaded V5, ran the install, started Firefox and first screen is 'Checking Add Ons', the status bar is shown and immediately hangs. Have tried to restart, have rebooted and start and Firefox will not come up. Have to drop back to V3.6

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

This can be a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.sqlite, extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is an update.

BI Scheduler Service not starting even after setting up

I have done the necessary table creation for Scheduler on a schema and pointed out that schema in Job Manager. But when I tried to start the Oracle BI Scheduler service, it is giving the below error.

Below are the steps which I followed.
1) Created the scheduler related tables and indexes in the schema.
2) I have added the Scheduler Administrator to the credential store.xml using the command "cryptotools credstore -add -infile D:/OracleBIData/web/config/credentialstore.xml"
3) Configured the Job Manager with the schema where tables/indexes are created. And the Administrator name is filled with the credentials provided in the above point.

No. I haven't done anything to configure cryptotool. But I have used that tool to generate the admin user name and password for scheduler.
And, I havent tried to import the scheduler tables into the RPD.

IPhone 3gs Battery Heating, iPhone does not start even after the battery replaced

Hello
Last night my phone was plugged into the car charger and suddenly it went blank and turnned off itself. I Tried DFU'in it but nothing worked. I charged it but all it does is heats up. Today I replaced the battery and it sill wouldnt work. I cant turn it on at all!

Extremely doubtful. Without being able to get the phone up and running, it's impossible to say for sure, but I'm guessing any data that was on the phone is long gone.
As for what could be the issue... at this stage, I'll have to go with an all encompassing "it's broke". You're probably going to either have to find a professional repair shop or just buy a new phone. Apple won't touch it at this stage since you opened it yourself.

Firefox download does not start, even after multiple reloads.
