Macbook Office: Power Point

My Power Point seems to be completely gone. I still have Word and Excel, but can't seem to open anything PP. Do I need to uninstall my office software, and reinstall or is there a way to just install PP again? Thanks for the help.

If you have further questions regarding Office, please post them in the Microsoft forums for Mac Office, as Apple discussions only provide support for Apple products:

Keep trying to install it when i switch off my laptop, but then show up as failed in 'review your update history'.
Will not go away... the error is - code 80070643.
    What do i do.
    I don't even use pp 2007, i use the 2010 version.
    Thank you,

Hmm dont know why you post this here in the Toshiba forum
Its definitely not a Toshiba notebook issue but something wrong with your Office Package.
I think you should uninstall the Office from the system.
Clean the registry using CCleaner (you can use other tool if you know another better ;) ) and after several reboots you could install the whole Office package and could tart the update.
There are also some documents posted by Microsoft regarding this error:

how can I activate macros in office power point 2008?
thanks in advance for your help.

As Office is not an Apple product, I strongly recommend asking in the Microsoft Office:Mac forums here:
    Office for Mac forums
Everyone there is a Mac user AND an Office user, something you can't say about Apple's forums. You will get the fastest help there and I think you will find the contributors more than helpful.
As I recall, macros were stripped From Office 2008, but you'll get the most definitie answer in the forums I linked for you.

  • Fix Untrusted Search Path Vulnrability in Office 2007 Power Point

We use Windows XP Pro SP3 on most our workstations and Win7 Pro SP1 on a few and Office 2007 SP3 on all workstations. We also use a third party software called LanGaurd to detect vulnerbilities on our workstations. And it is showing a vulnerability
for Office Power Point 2007. The vulnerability says "Untrusted Search Path in Microsoft Office Power Point 2007". I don't see an update for this in Windows Updates. I would think if there were an security update for this windows update would install it. Does
anyone know of a way to fix this vulnerability?

    Hi Valley,

I just updated my Mac Book Pro to leopard 10.6.8, and now Power Point from my office suite angs, and when I start up or re boot the laptop Power Point automatically opens and then just hangs, the only way to close is to force close.
Does any one know of any similar issues.
    Thanks

My MacBook Pro with Retina display displays power point and not other windows when connected to a projector. Can anyone help out please?

You should also ask this in the MacBook Pro forum. This is the forum for the white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.

  • I have a MacBook Air 13 , mid 2009 & am trying to get it to show power point on a projector, I have the correct plug. Do I have to pst some keys to fire up the projector ? Kevin

I have a MacBook Air 13 , mid 2009 & am trying to get it to show power point on a projector, I have the correct plug. Do I have to push some keys to fire up the projector ? Kevin

The short answer is no. You will, however need to fire up the projector manually, and then change the input for the projector (if it hasn't already) to that of the computer. Once the projector is fired up and displaying an image of the screen of your computer, simply start the powerpoint as you normally would, since the projector will mirror your screen. If you will be talking for long periods of time without pressing any keys, or advancing the presentation, you might want to change the energy saver preferences to stop the computer from going to sleep as fast as it would. Does all this help?
    Best of luck!

  • Can I save a keynote presentation in Power Point and then use the power point on my Macbook?

My library has a Toshiba TW 650 projector that is used by PCs. I am going to be giving a presentation created on Keynote.
My DVI-VGA connector did not work for my 2009 Macbook to the projector. Can I sve the Keynote presentation to power point and then
show the presentation on a PC with the Power Point version?

    Hello redffox,
You can export the project to a .PPT file as outlined here: Keynote '09: Creating a PowerPoint slideshow http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3698
    To create a PowerPoint slideshow:
Choose Share > Export, click PPT (PowerPoint) and then click Next.
Type a name and choose a location for the file, and then click Export.
    Additional Information
Note: PowerPoint doesn’t support some Keynote features:
Some bulleted text items may be lost. If you hide the bulleted text on a slide (by deselecting Body in the Slide inspector), it is deleted from the outline when you export.
PowerPoint doesn’t support alpha-channel graphics, so if you use a photo cutout frame, the image behind it will appear in front. You may also notice slight variations in other graphics.
    Cheers,
    Sterling
