Hp zr2740w turns off after few seconds

My HP zr2740w turns off after a second or so. Tested with vga/dvi/displayport and desktop pc/laptop, so it's not a cable issue.
My hp zr2740w was bought in July 2012 so it's probably out of warranty. I live in Finland. The webshop I ordered the hp zr2740w does not exist anymore. The HP support pages don't seem to have any support numbers for displays.
I took the display to a local IT support / electrician guy and he said it's a power supply issue. But he couldn't find a place to order the part so he could replace it.
Hopefully I'll get some answer here or an idea what to do. Wouldn't want to throw away an expensive display just because it has power issues.

Macbook Pro not turning off after spillage.

Yesterday night I was doing something on my laptop, and a bit of yougurt got spilled on the keyboard part. I wiped the yogurt off the keyboard very quickly, I left it upside down and went to sleep.
Now I've come back home , and I have tried to turn on the laptop, but it doesn't work.
The battery indicator lights are working, and I have tried to plug the laptop in, and it shows that it is charging.(this was only for a moment, I plugged it out straight afterwards.
Although the battery works, when I hit the power button, the display stays black and you don't hear the usual click the MBP gives when turning on.donw
Now I've left it upside down to dry.
What should I do, and how long should I leave it to dry? What has likely happened?
As my laptop is only 10 months old, does the warranty cover this?

Warranty doesn't cover damage such as spills
Trying to dry it will not work. Everyone tries that.....it won't work

My one day old MacBook pro just turned off and it won't come back on either through mains or battery power it's as if the unit is completely dead. Even with the mains plugged in there is no green or orange light to say its charging or full charged. The battery was fully charged anyway seconds before the screen went off.

When you say no green or orange light are you refering to the little led on the magsafe connector? That could mean either the charger/cable are bad or the circuitry in the MBP is faulty. Since this is a brand new MBP best bet is to take it back to an Apple Retail store and have the genius bar staff take a look. They can determine if it needs to be reparired or replaced.

Thought it was just batt low but it would not even charge, neither the battery sign located on the left side wouldn't show any sign/blink/color. Macbook pro 17 turns off when switching to high performance mode

Hi guys!
My 2009 Macbook pro 17 turns off and goes dead when switching to "high performance" graphics in the energy saver controll panel.
This happens also when the battery is 100% charged. i must reconnect powersupply to reboot.
The battery is new, from june this year.

It will not do any harm trying it but you are probably correct in these circumstances.
If the symptoms are consistent, then a savvy technician at an Apple store genius bar should be able to define the problem.

Are you restoring the iPod from a previous back or to factory settings? If you haven't restored to factory settings yet, I would do that next. And if the problem still continues, it's most likely hardware related, in which case you'll want to schedule an appointment at your local Apple Store/Genius Bar to have them take a look at it.

Macbook Pro shuts off after few seconds of gray screen

Help - I came home to discover my power cord had died and my laptop turned off due to no power. I used a friend's power cord to turn it on later that night and send some emails. I bought a new power cord the next day, plugged in, and turned the laptop on. It stayed on the gray screen with a spinning wheel beneath the apple logo for a while. I restarted it and it turned off after a few seconds of the gray screen. An empty bar flashes twice horizontally at the bottom before the spinning bar begins.
I tried booting in safe mode, but it would just stay on the gray screen. I tried doing shift+command+v and received a message about keys out of order and disk error full, can't repair. I was able to boot from the install disc, and when I click "Repair Disc" I get the same erros. Not sure what to do now?

Well this is the big gamble. You really don't know for sure.
TimeMachine has gotten corrupted from a failing original drive and then unable to restore properly to a new drive.
It's not like you can access the files on a TM drive directly and cherry pick what you need and leave the rest. It's all or nothing.
If you go erasing your only other copy on the boot drive, which the files still could be accessed from another boot drive, and if you find out the TimeMachine drive can't restore, then your up the creek without a paddle right?
So if your able, create a data recovery drive and try to rescue your second copy of the files on the boot drive or restore the TM drive to the second boot drive , so this way your files can be accessed directly if you need it and you have two copies again.
Once you can direclty access your files then you can go about erasing and installing on the internal boot drive.

Stuck in recovery mode and turns off after 30 seconds

I have done my research but no one seems to be having the exact same problem that I have. Here's what happened:
When I was updating the firmware of my Ipod Touch 4g iOS to 4.2 in a MacBook Pro, it suddenly cut the USB power because it was low on battery. After which, my Ipod now only goes from the apple logo to recovery mode (connect to itunes screen)then turns off after about 30seconds.
It still gets recognized in iTunes but it doesn't stay powered on long enough for something to be done (restore, iRecovery, etc.). I have tried doing the DFU to recovery mode, holding the home button when connecting the cable, etc.
I have everything backed up so restoring is not an issue. I just need it to work.
Help!

Not sure if this is the same problem exactly but all of a sudden my phone was stuck in headphone mode & wouldn't make sounds through the speakers at all. This was because of a dirt/dust buildup in the port. What I did was hold the phone & a flashlight in one hand & scraped out the crap with a safety needle/pin thing. This was very useful because I could exactly see where the stuff was & eventually I dug it all out. Works fine now! Hope this helps you/anyone else having a similar problem

Help!!! My Macbook Pro suddenly turns off

Towards the end of my work day, my Macbook Pro suddenly shut off. I thought I had accidently pressed the power button or something, and so I turned it back on. However, 10 minutes later it randomly shut off again. The power was at about 80%. I connected the laptop to charge, and I was able to use it perfectly with no problem. After about an hour, I unplugged it and it continued to turn off again.
I am currenly running Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. I have included the power status, to see if this might be of any help.
CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME?

It takes like a minute to turn off. it used to take a second to turn off and I loved it but now it takes a lot longer.all I did was do the "disk repair" and verify the disk. Thanks.

It would help if you mentioned what OS you are using. For 10.6 and under boot from your OS installer disk. Stick the disk in the optical drive slot and reboot while holding down the c key. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu and run Repair Disk not Repair Permissions. For Lion 10.7 boot while holding down the command-r keys so you boot into the Lion Rocovery disk then select Disk Utilities and ....
