Are you saying that you inserted a dvd/cd into the optical drive and it is stuck, or when you try to insert one your mac automatically ejects it?

Do not believe the advertised specs from any manufacturer regarding battery life. In the real world expect about 60% to 70% of those figures. Battery life is influenced by many factors, Among these are display brightness, the number and type of applications you are running, if the optical drive is used, external devices that may be attached etc.
3 hours seems a bit low but not necessarily out of line. Go to SYSTEM PROFILER>POWER and see what it says by 'Condition'. If it is other than 'normal' you may have battery issues (Explanations then can be found in FINDER>HELP).

13" Macbook Pro (mid-2011) audio in/out problem in Bootcamp Windows 7 64-bit

I have a 13" MacBook Pro (mid-2011) and when in Windows 7 (64-bit) there is no way to configure the single combination audio in/out port to be an input. It is by default assigned to be an audio output and it cannot be configured otherwise in the Sound manager in Control Panel. In OSX the port is configurable. The audio driver is Cirrus 4206A (AB28), dated 12/3/2010, version 6.6001.1.30.

I forgot to add that I installed the Bootcamp drivers from the OSX disc after I installed Windows 7 as instructed

No. You use "C" to boot from the optical drive
Hold down the Option key to select a different disk drive to boot from
When it comes up with all the disk that have an operating system on them, select the one with the bootable clone on it

Reboot ATV and router
Make sure DNS is set to auto
Ensure router is up to date, if on wifi try ethernet
Go to istumbler.net to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Sorry to say it would appear you have limited options, for sales and service;
when my dad lived in western Belize for 4 years and had Mac computers,
they took their own and backups. Occasional visits to the US allowed the
units to get service or repair a few times each year, if taken along.

Hi. I have a Macbook pro late 2011 and a have problems with my graphic card. I read 150 pages about this problem in apple forum, but don't receive any solutions to resolve a problem.

Well I got same problem today in OS X and when I restarted I got following screen and after few minsutes Laptop was switched OFF Automatically. I powered ON again ang got same screen but this time I quickly press CMD + C and screen goes normal this time.

Hi, I am using macbook pro 2.7ghz,i7,4gb,hd graphic 3000 which i just purchased in the mid-2011 to replace my old macbook.
Everything seems fine until I reinstall the sims 3 to my new macbook pro. The video's works fine, but when i entered the create household,
it shows the person's eyes and thumbails were not clear. The details setting of the game, has been set all to low which is the default setting. I have tried to increase some setting to medium or high, but it have not make any changes. Any solution?

it was working fine with my old macbook, and my sister who is using macbook pro 15" also works fine. I also installed the sims medieval, but the same issue occurs. i have the latest update for macbook pro sofware and also the sims.

Hi, using a macbook pro 13 mid 2011 with w7 professional 64bit
I've a problem almost every time I connect an external hd to the usb
and then i try to eject it using the icon on toolbar... the hd usb is seen
like external keyboard... So if I eject it the macbook pro crashes...
the internal keyboard stop working. Any one has a solution ?

This sounds like a Windows configuration issue. Have you tried using the device manager to "remove device" on the HD while it's attached? THis should remove the drivers, etc, then allow you to re-connect it and let the OS re-detect and load drivers. I would think that this would allow the OS to select the right driver for the external HD this time instead of the HID driver...

Buggy OS X Mavericks on Macbook Pro Mid 2011

1.) Using 4 Fingers gesture to show list of applications. Scolling them from left to right or right to left is not that smooth as previous OS version.
2.) Mac App Store - iPhoto and iMovie are totally buggy. after i download this apps the "install" button became blurred but when after i restart my laptop its shows 0 kb of 1.1GB again and shows the "resume" button again and again.
so far this are my problems that i encounter.
Anyone out has same problem with me. Hoping so that i will not feel alone.

Same Here I don't think its machine spefic though.. I have issues on my MacBook Pro 2011 with Mavericks but so does my Parents iMac and my Uncle's 2009 Macbook Pro too. I am a heavy user of iPhoto / Aperture but have noticed tons of bugs using those Apps since the Mavericks update. Everything from opening iPhoto to importing photos causes iPhoto to hang or stop running. My fans speed up to infinity and beyond, about 5500 rpm. In iPhoto the Menu bar becomes unresponsive unless I click on an Event rightaway not to load whole library. Noticed the same sort of issues on my Parent's iMac as well with same type of misbehavior in iPhoto.
Besides iPhoto other Apple Apps from time to time fail to quit during exit of the Application. Like in iTunes sometimes hangs on quit or crashes altogether. iTunes playback skips more frequently too.. Whats weird non Apple apps tend to work, basically no crashes or glitches.. For the iTunes playback of video or music will start to skip after a few minutes of playing, if I take that same file and play in VLC or other third party Media App flawless playback of file.. Same with media on the Net I mostly use Chrome no issues playing my music via Google Play or watching video on Youtube all play wonderfully.
Just before the Mavericks update when I was on Mountain Lion these issues weren't present.. I have notified Apple Support via the Feedback form, they have gotten back to me and are aware of my issues, I am very impressed with Apple Support staff...

I installed bootcamp 4.0 4033 so that I can install windows 7 32 bit on my mac. Everything works fine until I try to install the drivers and I get an error message stating the version of windows does not work with the drivers I am trying to install. I have a feeling somehow I am downloading 64 bit drivers when I need 32 bit. I spoke to Apple and they said I can't use 32 bit windows.. but that is not what the support site says (it says I can as long as I use bootcamp 4, not 5). Also, my bootcamp assistant is version 5.. I have no idea if that matters. Help please.. been searching online for hours.

I am looking to buy a new macbook pro once Lion comes out and comes on the new macs
But I am wondering if I can install my own hard drive in the current line of MBPs
I ask because Apple made the iMac hard drives in the new line proprietary so that you cant just buy a drive from newegg to replace the stock drive. So I need to know if I have to pay up front for the part, or if I can buy a new HDD offline later on to upgrade my storage capacity

You'll need a 00 micro phillips head screwdriver (prefereably magnetic) and a compartmentalized plastic container to replace all the screws into the right holes. Also you need to work on something that will catch the small screws, like a sheet or a large matt. They are very tiny.

When you get the drive, use the free Carbon Copy Cloner to clone your internal drive to a blank (first Disk Utility > Erase w/ Security Option Zero, HFS+ Journaled formatted) USB or (better) FireWire 800 drive.

You then hold option and boot from the clone, run Disk Utility > Repair Permisisons on both drives and check out the clone, make sure it works.
Then you do the hardware swtich, hold option and boot off the clone and then format the drive like above and reverse clone.
Piece of cake.
As a extra, you should run all of OnyX's maintanence and cleaning aspects too.
