Macbook Pro 15" Windows 7 Drivers?

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro 15" i7 from a reseller in South Africa with the intent of running OSX Lion and Windows 7 for a combined experience. When installing Windows using Bootcamp, the download time of the support files is enormously stupid. Any suggestions? Can I find these drivers anywhere separately? I'm aware of drivers being included on Snow Leopard disc, but my purchase did not include any Lion disc at all. Should it have come included? Desperate for some help here! Thanks in advance.

Ok, so after reading the responce from Jaygyver I made some progress, but let me first explain my hardware and the process I used to get everything working.
Hardware:
1) Kingston DT101G2 32Gb Memory stick -> Product Link
2) Macbook Pro 15-inch (Early 2011) - 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1024 MB VRAM, Thunderbolt Firmware version 22,1
Software:
1) Mac OSX 10.7.2
2) Original Windows 7 installation disk
3) Boot Camp 4.0 (Downloaded via Mac Boot Camp Assistant)
Installation process:
1) Boot Mac normally
2) Insert memory stick
3) Open "Applications / Utilities" and run the "Disk Utility" application
4) Select the memory stick volume
5) On the tabs above, on the right hand side of the window, click "Erase"
6) Ensure you select from the drop down menu the MS-DOS (FAT) Format
7) Click on erase on the button in the middle of the screen. Let it do its thing and then close "Disk Utility"
8) In "Spotlight" type "Boot Camp"
9) Run the Boot Camp Assistant application
10) view the instructions on the link I provided above.
Careful here:
After downloading Boot Camp onto the memory stick, click install windows. As soon as you get to the window where you are prompted to select your volume to install Windows on, click on the advanced tab in the windows installation window. Select the volume and then click on Format. MAKE SURE you select the correct volume as you don't want to format your OSX volume. That sould be that then!!
PS: Jaygyver was right, if the drivers don't work in windows after the initial first boot. Open the memory car in windows explorer and run the boot camp setup. It will install EVERYTHING, absolutely EVERYTHING. I didn't need to look for any drivers online at all.
Hope this helps!

How did you get them to install the first time and where did you get them?
Read the Installation Guide, Boot Camp 4.0 FAQ and the Windows 7 FAQ.
    Here's the Boot Camp Manual.

Is Apple compatible with Microsoft Office?
Any computer is compatible as long as it can read and write Office files. But for perfect (or at least near perfect) compatibility, you would want to purchase Office 2011 for Mac.
How can I transport from Windows to Mac?
You can't directly transport any installation of Windows. All PC's come with a machine specific version of Windows intended for that PC. They don't have all of the hardware drivers the retail disks cover.
If you want Windows on your Mac, you would first purchase a full version copy (NOT an upgrade disk) of Windows 7 or 8. Those are the only supported versions on newer Macs. You install it through the supplied Boot Camp utility that comes with the Mac to create a new partition for Windows, and then install the retail copy of Windows you purchased.
The reason only these versions of Windows are supported is the same basic reason as a machine specific version of Windows for a PC. Apple only includes the necessary Mac hardware drivers for Win 7 or 8 on new Macs.
Once Windows is installed, you could then install the version of Office for Windows you already own. The nuisance of a Boot Camp partition is that you have to physically boot to either Windows or OS X, so you can only use the apps of the OS you're in at the time. To use both at once, you'd have to use virtual machine software (Parallels, VMware, VirtualBox) and then install Windows within that. Then you'd be able to run Windows inside of OS X and have access to both at the same time.

  • Keyboard hangs on MacBook Pro with Windows 7

I have a 2008 MacBook Pro and Windows 7 RC installed with Boot Camp drivers.
More and more, the keyboard hangs. Sometimes it does not register a keystroke (for about 1 second), and shortly thereafter it hangs on 1 keystroke (pressing a random key once results in about 30 of that characters on screen).
I know Windows 7 is still not officialy released, but I do hope this gets fixed in the near future. I have had many Windows 7 installs, including previous versions. They all had the same issue.
The problem seems to be the Keyboard manager. Windows 7 also reported that this service was using more than usual resources, causing it to be bad for battery life.

Same problem here. I already installed Windows 7 and then Windows XP to see if this was a Win7 issue but on both OS the issue is occurring.
Delay with the Keyboard when press a key. Sometimes it writes 30 or more of the same character.
I can't do the double fingers/right click most of the times since the drives seems to hang and multitouch trackpad stops to recognize the two fingers right click. It eventually come back working OK from time to time and then stops working again.
Bootcamp 3.0 did not resolve the issue for me under Win XP and Win 7

I would love to consolidate to my mac but am afraid installing Windows will ruin it!
It all depends on what your useage of Windows will be, for playing games install it in BootCamp, for word processing, spreadsheets, email. browsing etc a virtual Machne will be fine.

Office for Mac, http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products, can open/edit/create Office documents. If your external drive is formatted NTFS then you can copy the Office documents to your computer and work on them. You won't be able to save the files back to your NTFS formatted drive. But you will be able to save the documents to your internal drive. You can move all the external files to your internal drive then format the external drive for Apple. Then you can copy the files back to your external drive for ongoing use.

You'll need to erase the drive by booting up holding command-option-r keys into your Recovery Volume.
Use Disk Utility to erase the disk and then Internet Recovery. That will take a while.

Two. You can daisy-chain two ATD together. Doesn't matter what you're running.

  • MacBook Pro bootcamp windows cant see FAT partition

I have 4 partitions on my SSD
    - 1) MAC OS
    - 2) SHARED ETC (MAC OS EXT)
    - 3) SHARED WORK (FAT)
    - 4) NTFS BOOTCAMP
I created two additional partitions (ETC, WORK) after I setup windows via bootcamp, also after I've done that I did a workaround to fix MBR because I wasn't able to boot Windows natively.
But for some reason when I am booting windows it is does not see ETC and WORK partitions! It should be able to see at least WORK(FAT) partition?
    How do I fix that?
I want to be able to access WORK(FAT) partition from Windows and ETC(MAC OS EXT) partition as well, if it is possible

Cant edit this question eny more, here is some more details http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/112449/macbook-pro-bootcamp-windows-can t-see-fat-partition

This is not a Mac/Apple issue.  You need to contact the seller and ask where the Windows XP product key is.
