Keep your Snow Leopard installation and test Mavericks on a separate partition or external drive. You will probably want to have both options. Mavericks and anything else after Snow Leopard has changes to the user interface that many of us find pointless and irritating. And you won't be able to use any software that runs via Rosetta in Snow Leopard. You will have to upgrade software that needs Rosetta to a later version, or get something else entirely.

The earliest came with OS 10.4.5 installed, but the max is OS 10.6.x. The last came with OS 10.4.8 installed, but the max is OS 10.7.x.
If you are able to get the original install discs from Apple, you should probably upgrade to OS 10.6.x or 10.7.x.

On SOUND preferences, I don't have the option for chosing HDMI on the OUTPUT sound.Do you have another HDMI port that you can switch to on the TV? Is the tv source on the matching HDMI port with the volume up? After checking those try the following:

Hello, I have a Macbook Pro 2011, and put an SSD on it. Yesterday i upgrade to Yosemite and sadly mi trim is not supported .... I really need (and demand) a solution to this, because like i see in the manual of the mac, Iam allowed to install a disk.

There seems to be a few bugs with iCloud Mail at times, so send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

a misname for an Apple oriented GPart etc to partiton a drive for use by Windows natively, drivers, a control panel for Windows, and download utility for those drivers.
You are running Windows natively which is 93% the same as running on most any PC hardware.

It is taking nearly 10 mts for moutain lion to boot. I have used Mactune up utility to check disk status and there are no problems with the disk. Double checked with SMART utility and it reported no issues with the disk. Out of 320GB disk, 220 gb is free space in the disk
Ran anti virus to check for any virus relalted issues and found none. I have also checked programs which are part of login in User and Groups. I found only iTunes helper and unchecked the same. Post this operation, i had shutdown my pc and then re-started and am still experiencing 10 mts window for start up. I am not seeing errors in the macbook pro. can someone advise what needs to be done. do i need to reinstall mountain lion. if yes, can someone advise me how to reinstall mountain lion without erasing disk.pls refer my previous post, i have indeed checked console message. please let me know if i need to look for specific error message. i have pasted logs below from the latest PC start i did. time mentioned here is indian standard time.

My Macbook Pro keeps crashing and it gets very hot, what should I do?
I have a late 2010 15inch Macbook Pro.

4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
500 GB HD
My mac keeps freezing and crashing on me. It might be because it gets really hot, but I really cant say for sure. Its been running slow the past few months and im not sure what to do. I keep it very clean and I doubt there is dust accumilating inside of it. Even if there was, I dont know how to check. Will upgrading the RAM help; if so, where and how? Also I only have about 25GB left on my HD.Have you tried inserting a disc cleaner? Maybe you drive is dirty

Trackpad Problem on MacBook Pro 2011 with bootcamp windows 7
I am running Windows 7 in bootcamp on my 13 inch MBP 2011.
I am really pleased how smooth the installation went and everything so far works as it was on my old windows mashine.
Just the trackpad is not running very smooth.
I reduced the scrolling down speed so the scrolling with two fingers is quiet alright now. But I have a problem with this touch to click function. Very often when I write I touch the trackpad with the palm of one hand and this results in actions like my text is continued in another line or suddenly whole paragraphs are highlighted or any other odd behaviour.
I thought to take the touch to click function off but I can't even find the setting in the windows control panel.
There are only the pure standard driver settings available in the control.
Can anybody tell me if there is a solution? Actuallly I like this touch to click, it's working very well when I use the trackpad. I know in other machines you can set a function that it's regonized if you put your finger on a trackpad or it's your palm whilst your writing, or the trackpad disables itself when the keyboard is used.
Is there maybe a better driver for the new MacBook trackpad under windows seven...or do I even have maybe a wrong driver onboard?

I have found now some setting so that I can first at all live with it. Nevertheless i would be very thankful when Apple would work the touchpaddriver over so that it works smoother. Its such an nice device and the big touchpad is great but its realy working very poor under bootcamp.
Maybe you try my settings:
First at all start bootcamp from windows system, and go to the trackpadsettings. Take out the touch for klick. You can forget working with this as when you write it just hops wherever it wants.. as I wrote before, youre suddenly write on in a completly different paragraph...that impossible to use with this settings.
Its a shame as acutally using this touch to click in other applications than writing is very smooth and good.
Other notebooks having an automaticle regonizion function which notices when your accidently put your wrist or palm on the touchpad whilst using the keyboard. Thats certanly what is needed here es well, especially because of the huge touchpad.
Next you have to go to the windows mouse driver which is not in bootcamp but in the standard Windows system settings and adjust the scroll speed down to 1 on each of the two functions there.
This then takes the overdose of speed away when you use two fingers on the touchpad to scroll.
Having it set to more than 1 is not usable either.
These are the setting how I have build myself a workaround for the moment.
But as I said...please please Apple work at this touchpaddriver together with Microsoft to get more out of this wonderful trackpad.
