Macbook pro 2012 isn't recognizing the built in audio output
It is only recognizing the headphones jack, even when it is unplugged, there are no red lights and when I unplug the phones it is just like they were plugged, I ow this because it doesn't change the volume like it was suposed to do if it was recognizing the built-in output

First, try plugging and unplugging the headphones again, and check that "Internal Speakers" appears in System Preferences > Sound > Output.
If it doesn't work, reset the PRAM > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379 This will reset the speakers settings, so it will work properly when you start in OS X. If not, open System Preferences > Sound > Output, and choose "Internal Speakers"

Recently I purchased Macbook pro 2012 in India-Bangalore.The problem is,during its charging if i touched it around the corners,I am getting a slight electrical shock.Same case is happening even I am typing(exspecially when I pressed the keys).
It may be due to the earthing issues,i fixed tht,Eventhough no help.Can anybody suggest me the better approach.Electric shock? You may find some helpful tips in this article.

My internal hard drive isn't being recognized on my macbook pro but when I put the HD in my Mac Pro (desktop), the desktop computer recognizes the HD. When I insert the installer CD on my laptop, it also doesn't recognize my hard drive. Please help! Thank you!
I've also been getting an image with the folder and question mark. I've tried everything on the apple support page but it doesn't seem to work either.Well, I tried all of your suggestions and they didn't work -- no surprise because I was trying to backup to my external c.d. disk. Duh! The application for the home is in the mail.

I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch early 2011.
The new features available in OS X Yosemite like Continuity, Handoff,etc are not supported in this model.
I did upgrade RAM to avoid any possible slowdown.
I found replacing the HD with SSD is too expensive for a 4 years old model.
Replacing the CPU/GPU is not for amateurs.
If you think that rebuilding a Mac part by part is a viable option, please go ahead and rebuild it.

I have been trying to download java for my macbook pro, but for some reason the function is not recognizing the internet. I am on and have checked several times .... AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). You can see which Mac you have and which operating system you are using by selecting 'About this Mac' from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your Mac and selecting the 'More Info' button. -

hi, i bought a irig to connect my guitar on my macbook pro 2012, but when i use the irig in my mac, it doesnt recognize, so i cant choose it on preferences of sound, what can i do? (the sound of my guitar goes by IRIG but I can not hear due to feedback and when I try to record another track on the garageband, the sounds recorded on the new track is catching the sound of another track recorded)
Turn the internal mic level off. Use headphones as monitors.

Hi,
I have a macbook pro 2012 13 inch, which i use for uni and youtube etc. I use firefox for my web browsing, whenever I go to watch videos, from youtube or even uni lectures (for all my subjects) the video and audio play fine, but as soon as i switch into another tab, the audio continues to play whilst the video lags and stops all together, freezing on the current screen. The timestamp on the video players also stops, which gets incredibly frustrating when I am watching uni lectures, does anybody know how to fix this?? Please help.Which os version are you using?
