Macbook Pro battery goes from 100% to 93%?
Upon charging my MacBook Pro 13", it fully charges to 100% but not even a minute later, suddenly drops to 93% and then resumes depleting normally.
Anyone know of anything happening like this before? I recently just got my battery replaced so nothing should be wrong with it.
Have you calibrated the battery?

Suggest you make an appointment for your local Apple Genius Bar and they can perform a Battery & Adapter test. You can always start the process by contacting AppleCare (1.800.APL.CARE) and log down your case number after you have completed your discussions with them, so when you get to the Genius Bar, it will save you time. At that point they will be able to determine if the battery is defective and commence the replacement process. Include your case number in the notes section of your Genius Bar appointment form. This tests will check your MagSafe adapter and battery at the same time and takes about a couple of minutes if that. Hope this helps guide you through the process.

Macbook Pro : Battery Hit From USB Keyboard
I'm going to be using my Macbook Pro to do some live music sets, and I'm wondering how big the battery hit will be from a controller keyboard (i.e. a musical keyboard) powered via the laptop's USB port. Just a rough idea - will it double the battery usage, add 25% etc...?
The thing is, some of the performance locations will have no electricity supply, and basically I'm trying to work out whether I need a controller keyboard with its own internal battery compartment. As you are aware, batteries (no matter what manufacturer) are consumable devices and is only covered for one year (barring any type of abuse). So I charged my phone up completely last night before I went to bed. It was showing 100% battery life. Normally what I do at night is I'll put it in Airplane mode to disable all the radios in it, not only to preserve battery life, but also so it won't wake me up in the middle of the night when I get email. I woke up this morning, turned it on, and found it was showing around 43% battery, and it wasn't doing anything all night!
The only thing out of the ordinary was I left it on the dock overnight, but with the computer off (obviously.) Would the dock actually drain power from the phone? Or do I have something else going on here? It's been exhibiting abnormal battery drain throughout the day, and I've hardly used it.
I just got this thing a few weeks ago (refurb through AT&T). I'm sure out of all the things Apple might refurb on these things, the battery is not one of them.Copied from this link.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476
If the device is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Don't leave your iPhone connected to your computer when it is turned off tonight, and there should be a difference especially when enabling Airplane mode.
I believe a new battery is installed when an iPhone is refurbished. -
i need to buy a new macbook pro/i am from OR, but i am in PA now/when i asked about that i found the tax will be around 100$/there is some one said to me that if i have the ID state of OR i would be able to buy it by the samr price/is it true ?
Goods delivered to you for personal or business use (not for resale) in Pennsylvania are subject to Pennsylvania state sales tax.
If you are exempt from Pennsylvania state sales tax, or are a Not-for-profit corporation and have a DBA certificate in Pennsylvania, you may be able to buy tax-free. I doubt this.
If you have the goods delivered to your address in Oregon, and there is no state sales tax in Oregon, you would not have to pay state sales tax.
Since Apple does business in all 50 states, they are also obligated to charge you sales tax (for the state where the goods are delivered) when you buy from the Apple Online store. -
My MacBook Pro Core Duo from 2006 shuts down randomly requiring frequent reboots to the point I had to abandon doing any project or anything on this MacBook Pro. Same thing occurs with the iMac dual core from 2007. MacBook battery replaced. Is it internal battery for both, new logic board required, bad hard drive, or bad RAM?
Help.Run an Apple Hardware Test using the original installation disk that has the AHT instructions on it.
Try SMC and PRAM resets:

It is possible that you may need a new PRAM battery.

Battery went from 100% to 0% and won't charge :C
Hi guys i need some help.
About 15min ago i was reading an article on a website when the screen 'blinked' it turned off going completly black then turned on again. Then i noticed that it said i had 0% battery but i have my MacBook Pro is plugged in right now, the battery was fully charged and its plugged in?
So.2 problems
1. Battery went from 100% charged to 0% in a matter of seconds WHILE PLUGGED IN.
2. Battery is not charging at all now, just stays at 0%
Is this a common thing? like has this happened to lots of people before and is a known issue?
What info do i need to post up so you guys can more effectively help me? also might need to show me how to get this info. How old is your Mac?
Open System Info and look at the battery section. If it says Service Battery then take the system to Apple and have it serviced. -
How long should my macbook pro battery charge last before needing to be recharged
My macbook pro goes from 100% fully charged to zero in one day of light use. Is that normal? It seems to hold a charge for less time now than in the past. Do I need a new battery? Thanks, Gina
Watching video depletes the battery faster than typing a letter. My MBP battery will go down from 100% to about 65% (sometimes down to 50%) in about 3 - 4 hours if I do nothing but browse this site and possibly watch a short video. It also depends on the screen brightness settings and a host of other things. If you only use it for 2 hours, then there is a problem and I'd take it to your nearest Genius Bar for a diagnosis.

My macbook pro is going very slow what can I do?
my macbook pro is going very slow what can I do?
When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above. Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first. Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough. It is never necessary or helpful to post more than about 100 lines. "The more, the better" is not the rule here.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. -
My 1 week old macbook pro battery is dying.
my 1 week old macbook pro battery is dying. i charged it to 100% then went to bed and this morning it is at 32% when turned on. What the heck?
my light does not flash in sleep mode.
Which means it isn't sleeping. Run the Console and put the computer sleep. Experiement with the sleep command and closing the lid. Does it sleep with the sleep command but not the lid? Does it not sleep in either case. In the Console, by default, you'll see all the messages that are logged. Pay attention to when you close the lid or execute the sleep command and pay attention to the log entries that occur at that time and shortly afterwards. You might find a sleep terminated type message which will give you a clue about why it isn't sleeping.
There are also programs that are known to cause insomnia. At the head of my list are all it one printer software because the drivers often constantly look for an incoming fax or the keypress from the AIO printer console.
One more thing - if you have been putting it to sleep and then disconnecting USB or FireWire devices - that's the problem. -
MacBook Pro battery had accumulated more than a 1000 charges, and stopped functioning unexpectedly. Went and got the battery replaced. Just saw that SMC Firmware 1.6 update deals with this. Possible to get my money back?
The firmware update corrects an error that may occur, however the techs would have checked the condition of the battery prior to installing a new one. If the battery was questionable, the firmware update was really not too important.
You can check the battery condition by going to the apple, left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Power and see what it says about Cycle Count, Condition, Capacity: Condition anything but Normal needs to be checked and may need to be replaced.
The cycle count of 1,000 charge cycles is the typical life of a Lithium-Ion battery, the point at which the capacity drops to 80% of the as built capacity. -
My macbook pro is going slow lately
My macbook pro is going slow lately, it takes longer time to just open a finder window or a simple photo or word document or pdf document. Everything in general goes slower than before.
I don´t know what to do to fix this and have the macbook pro run as it used to before.
Thank you

MacBook and MacBook Pro Battery Update
http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/
Apple has recently discovered that some batteries used in its MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks may have battery performance issues. Apple is offering a software update that is designed to improve battery performance.
The battery update is available immediately via Software Update or downloadable here.
Note: The factors causing the performance issues do not present a safety risk. You may continue to use your current battery.
This battery update should be run on all MacBook and MacBook Pro computers and extra batteries that were purchased between February 2006 and April 2007.
If, after you have installed the battery update, your battery has any of the symptoms listed below, please make a reservation to bring your computer with its battery to your local Apple Retail Store, or contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), or call your local Apple Support Contact Center. If Apple or an AASP determines that your battery is eligible for replacement, you will receive a new battery, free of charge, even if your MacBook or MacBook Pro is out of warranty.
For MacBook and MacBook Pro systems with Intel Core Duo processors, this program extends repair coverage on the battery for up to two years from the date of purchase of the computer.
Identifying an affected battery
Affected batteries will have one or more of the following symptoms:
Battery is not recognized causing an “X” to appear in the battery icon in the Finder menu bar.
Battery will not charge when computer is plugged into AC power.
Battery exhibits low charge capacity/runtime when using a fully charged battery with a battery cycle count (as shown in System Profiler) of less than 300.
Battery pack is visibly deformed.
Note: If your MacBook or MacBook Pro battery does not have any of the symptoms noted above, your battery does not need to be replaced.
Next Steps
To participate in this worldwide program, your MacBook or MacBook Pro battery must show the symptoms noted above. If it does, please make a reservation to bring your computer and battery to your local Apple Retail Store, or contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), or call your local Apple Support Contact Center. The U.S. support number is 1-800-275-2273. If you are located outside the U.S., please see Apple's international contact list for your local Apple Technical Support phone number. An Apple technical support representative or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) will determine if the battery is eligible for replacement, free of charge. Customers are responsible for transportation costs to eligible AASPs and retail stores.
If a replacement battery is sent to you via airmail, it is important that you return the older battery to Apple so that it can be properly recycled.
This program extends repair coverage on the battery for up to two years from the date of purchase of the computer for Intel Core Duo-based MacBook and MacBook Pro computers. Apple will continue to evaluate the battery update program and will provide further extensions as needed. Apple also reserves the right to modify the program if other solutions that address the battery performance issues become available. For MacBook and MacBook Pro systems with Intel Core Duo processors, this program extends repair coverage on the battery for up to two years from the date of purchase of the computer.

I have a Macbook Pro Early 2011 from the USA. It is now running Mavericks. I connect it to a 27" Cinema Display that I bought in China after we moved to China. Before I installed Mavericks, I could run all of the Adobe CS6 and Adobe CS5.5 applications on my Macbook Pro while connected to the cinema display. Now that I have Mavericks installed, whenever I am connected to my 27" CInema display my Adobe applications crash upon opening. I know this is a rare scenario, but does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Is there a new driver that needs installed? I'd appreciate any help.
I am also having a similar issue. I used Adobe Lightroom and my whole display goes black. Even my laptop screen and the lights on the keyboard go black. I can still hear the fan running, so I assume it is just the display. This is my first Mac and I have had nothing but issues. I think I am going back to Windows after this.

HT204347 Do you connect the charger in the MacBook Pro battery damage if using device ?
Do you connect the charger in the MacBook Pro battery damage if using device ?
i am sorry i not good speak englishProvided you are using the correct charger for your Mac (13" have a 65 watt charger, 15" and 17", an 85 watt charger), it has enough capacity to power the computer for normal tasks, and the leftover power can charge the battery at the same time. If you are doing something very intensive, there may not be leftover power, but the Mac will take power from the battery if needed. Once the battery is fully charged, the pilot light in the charger plug will change from orange to green and no further charge will be applied to the battery.
You can use your Mac plugged to the charger with no damage to the battery or the computer.
