MacBook Pro Bluetooth problems
Anyone have any problems with BlueTooth mice and the MacBook Pro?
I've got a 2010 17" MacBook Pro running 10.7.1 (but the problem pre-dates Lion). The mouse is "jerky" meaning that when I move the mouse it doesn't follow immediately sometimes, and immediate fine control is near impossible. I've tried two different Magic Mice, swapped the batteries, etc. I've run all software updates.
The only thing I can figure is that it's the Bluetooth connection. And as best I can figure it's unique to this model machine as I didn't have these problems with the previous model.

Macbook Pro bluetooth problems with a Bose sound dock 10
So a while ago I bought my Bose Sound dock 10 and the bluetooth between both my Mac and iPhone has been great. But then OS X Mavericks came out and I start having issues with connecting through bluetooth for the first time. I have to go to the Sound dock and remove the bluetooth port, then put it back in, then try to connect from my Mac again but then having to do the process again. I know this isn't a fault with the Bose product itself as my iPhone 4 connects with absolutely no problems running iOS 7 and as do other Apple products that my family owns.
I have a 13", Mid 2012 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.3 with bluetooth version 4.2.4f1 13674 (v131 c5492)@Matthew9391 - here is a great link that helped me get my Bose Sound dock 10 going.

Ipod Touch and Macbook Pro Bluetooth problems (ISO4 related)
Hi all,
Before the update I wasn't having any problems, but now when I try to connect with bluetooth I can pair, but it won't connect. It says I don't "have the necessary services" for bluetooth. Any ideas?I bought a Macbook Pro and ipod touch 3 weeks ago. I am shocked and disappointed to learn that i'm not able to connect these devices via bluetooth. Searching through forums and discussion pages I see that this is by design. I fail to understand why.
On more occasions than I care to comment I have defended Apple products against sceptical attacks that dismiss the company's innovation as pure hype and suggest the proliferation of its 'locked' and 'exclusive' features signal the rise of the 'new dark side'. I have been left with little argument to continue this defence.
I regret that I will seriously reconsider my next purchase of an Apple product. -

How did you install Windows? Did you use Bootcamp Assistant or did you use a virtual machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox.
If you used Bootcamp Assistant, did you download and install the Windows Support software (drivers) in accordance with the Bootcamp instructions? -

How do I resynchronize my iPhone and MacBook Pro bluetooth connection?
I accidentally had my iPhone "forget" my MacBook Pro bluetooth connection, and I need it to reappear to resynchronize. My iPhone shows up as discoverable on my MacBook Pro, but it is not connected. When I have my bluetooth on on my iPhone 4S, the MBP doesn't appear in the list of my bluetooth devices.
You can sync using iTunes > iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes (via USB)
Or wirelessly using iCloud > Apple - iCloud - All your content on all your devices. -

Macbook Pro Bluetooth Recognition Problem On Wake
I have a new Macbook Pro (about 2 weeks old). At home I use an Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard and a Logitech Bluetooth mouse (both of which are >directly< next to the computer). Every day I take my MBP to work with me where I do not have exteral keyboard or mouse. Everyday when I get home again I open up the MacBook Pro (I only put it to sleep, I don't shut down my machine) and it fails to recognize either the keyboard or the mouse. I never had this problem with my Powerbook. And everything worked perfectly on my MacBook Pro for the first week. I have not changed how I'm doing anything on the MBP, but after a week or so, it stopped reconizing the Bluetooth devices when I open it to wake it. I have to reboot the machines, sometimes twice, to get it to recognize the devices again. If I try to re-pair the mouse, it will see the mouse, but the pairing will then fail.
No, it's not low batteries, I have replaced the batteries in both the keyboard and mouse with brand new batteries >twice< in the past three days. This >never< happened before. Now it happens every time. Any suggestions?I had a similar difficulty although I could gain recognition by turning bluetooth off and on. In the end, I unchecked 'discoverable'. Everything now works as it did in the past with my powerbook. Good luck.

MacBook Pro - Bluetooth and Speaker bug
Hello,
I've bought a new speaker (JBL Pulse) one day ago in order to use it like speaker for my Macbook pro.
Here it is, I need to use a bluetooth connection if I want to use my JBL speaker. My bluetooth is able to see my speaker, so they are connected. Everything works fine but after 1min, I can't explain why but the connection between them is broken. And it does it every time.
So first of all, I've tried other devices. My iphone is ok, my ipad is ok, I've tried with 2 other Macbook and everything works well. So I've concluded that the bug comes from my computer.
I have a magic mouse so I thought that maybe my mouse could create some disruption. I have disconnected my mouse but the bug is still here.
Then, I've called apple support.
The guy told me to do many things like reboot the macbook and other stuff like that. At the end he told me to reinstall my OSX. So i did it and the bug is still here.
Then I have even tried to delete the file inside my DD thinking that maybe it could help. but I have still the same problem.
It's not the first time that I have some troubles with my bluetooth. Sometimes it happens that my magic mouse is disconnected while I'm using it. Or even sometimes when I try to click on the bluetooth icon it doesn't even answer. And I have to restart my computer.
I'm a little bit frustrated because my macbook pro is in very good condition and it's a young one (almost one year). I don't have a lot of stuff inside.
A friend tried to solve the problem but he thinks that the problem comes from my "network card".
Thank you for your help and If you have any idea, do not hesitate Thanks
I wanted to go to the apple store but still not open in my city... (frustrated again ^^) So I'm gonna call them Monday morning if I'm still without any solutionI have the same problem with my older white Apple Wireless Extended Keyboard, which had been working fine with my 2009 iMac. But I experience the issue sporadically with my new Mac Mini. I've read reports of people resolving some BT issues by turning off "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer" in the Advanced pane of the Bluetooth System Preferenes Pane.
There are also people having the issue on iOS devices using various Apple BT keyboards. No help, but interesting to note that it's happening across various devices, keyboard models, and OSs. -
I have been having trackpad problems on my macbook pro (bought in 2010) for the past couple of days. Not only does it move erratically by itself, but the left click does not respond as it should. Whenever I use the left click, it works as a right click, and I have made no changes in the trackpad options. I have done a battery check through the shift and battery click option, and the response for battery came normal. I have also done a PRAM/NVRAM reset, but the problem still persists. Do I need to replace my battery? Please leave any suggestions. Thanks
There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not apply in your case.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
2. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and in that case the unit must be serviced or replaced.
3. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
4. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
5. Reset the System Management Controller.
6. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
7. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested. -
Retina MacBook Pro sleep problem since 10.9.2
Ever since updating to 10.9.2 earlier in the week my macbook refuses to wake from sleep each morning.
Having looked at the console logs it seems that perhaps the problem is related to it not actually managing to go to sleep properly.
I closed the lid on the computer at about 19:07 as can be seen in the first of these console dumps. I put the laptop in my bag and went home, where the laptop stayed closed in my bag all night. Apparently the computer awoke 70 minutes later. In the morning, back at the office, I left the lid open for a good 5 minutes before deciding to reboot at 9:37, so it seems that the computer was indeed turned off as there was no activity in these minutes.
