MacBook Pro Cannot Connect to the Internet

My MacBook pro was perfectly active and online, in my linksys router last night before I went to sleep. I left it active as I was downloading some files, they were going awfully slow, but I didnt pay attention and left up. When I woke up today, and tried to use my computer it seemed to be kind of slow and frozen, so I forcefully shut it down and then powered it on. Everything was normal, and my airport card connects to my network, as it is supposed to do. I try to load Safari, Mail and even Firefox, but nothing works. All my other programs seem fine. I started running Virex to see if it detects anything, but I dont know what is happening.
I have made sure that my network is working, since 3 of my roomates use the same internet from the same router, and they all have internet. Even my iPhone has internet. Everything is working except my MacBook pro.
So, I tried going to preferences and getting a renewed IP and DHCP server, like I do when the computer is lagging a little bit, it did not work either. I have reset again, by using normal reset setting on Finder. Still no Internet, I have no clue what do or why it's happening, this has never happened before, and I do not think is anything but my computer software.

YET, As soon as I activate the AirPort card on the top right where I have my signal strength, it shows on the Network Utility information that there are 'packages' being sent and received, and I have NO programs open what so ever, I have closed everything except finder and network utility... Does this mean I am being hacked, or have some sort of Trojan or something in my computer? I ran an antivirus that my school provided, called Virex by McAfee, it came out clean except it says it cannot read one file.
I tried repairing my disk, and that did not work either. I did the Ram reset like you suggested, but that also did not work. I doubt it being a hardware error. I am going to try to connect it to an ethernet cable to see if that will work. Then I will let you know what happens with that, but that would still not be a solution since I need it wireless, cause the router is in another part of the house.

    I am having difficulties connecting to the wi-fi in my apartment. I was able to connect to the internet just yesterday, and it worked perfectly fine. When I try and connect to my wi-fi, there is a check mark next to the router name, however the wi-fi symbol on the top portion of my computer displays an exclamation point, stating that there is no internet connection.
    I have tried restarting my computer, restarting my router, and tried running network diagnostics.
    The internet is also working perfectly fine for my roommate; my computer is just having difficulties connecting to the internet, which is odd because it worked perfectly fine yesterday.
    Any suggestions?

    I am trying to connect my computer to the internet in Germany. I was able to connect with no issues in Frankfurt. I am now in another city and the network requires a WPA password, which I have tried to enter. Everytime I enter the password, the message "connection timeout" appears. This seems to be an issue with only Mac computers, since everyone with a PC has no difficulty connecting. Anyone know how I can fix this problem?????

    I also had several problems using WPA passwords in Europe but found ethernet connections worked fine. Some WPA connections worked without problems. While somewhat annoying I managed with the ethernet when necessary.
    I didn't find out why the WPA's didn't always work.

    We did that, but it just doesn't seem to be able to connect. So basically we tried to connect to our network and insert the password, but afterwards it does nothing. Weird thing is also that the network symbol (top right of the screen) says that it has been connected, but when I go look at the system preferences --> network, it states that it has not been connected

This results in being told to restart the wireless. The airport utility includes the drop down option of restarting but is not clickable so I can't choose it.
    With my prior macbook and same time capsule, etc  if i had problems connecting to the internet I would run network diagnostics to help out. This included clicking on the airport utility ---> base station --> restart. This worked most of the time.
    Bottom line, is there something I am missing in not being able to restart the wi-fi remotely? ]

    You are likely forgetting a step.
    Open AirPort Utility
    Click on the Time Capsule icon
    Click Edit in the small window that appears
    Now click the Base Station menu.....top of the screen....not the Base Station "tab" in the center of the screen
    Click Restart

But everytime I try to connect it says "Alert: no internet connection". My Macbook can find the wifi, but it cant connect it. When I open network preferences, It says "Wifi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the Internet." But my sisters macbook with all same settings with mine can find the IP address! I really need help, Im a student and my homeworks are on websites so I should connect to internet. Hoping for answers .

    If installed, disable security software (anti virus) then try accessing the App Store.
    Open System Preferrences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
    Make sure Mac App Store and indentified developers is selected.
    If that area is greyed out, click the gold padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password.

    I cannot connect to the internet on my Macbook. I receive an error message that says it isn't connected. I have checked with my internet provider and everything is fine on their end. elp!

    I haven't had the problem and haven't tried deleting this exact file but you it might fix the problem to delete this file
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.airport.airportutility as I've said I haven't tried this and I'm not sure if it will fix the problem

    Hope someone can help. I haven't used apple TV for a week or so, and when I have just turned it on again, I found although it finds my wireless network, it cannot connect to the internet as it was doing since I got it over a year ago. No settings have changed, and my MacBook, iMac, iPhone, Wii and PS3 all still connect fine. I tried a system restore, but now apple TV won't start up as it still can't connect to the internet. I have also tried rebooting my router. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

    I have the exact same problem and my home network have a max capacity of 250 devices, which Im not any way near off.
    I have one pc connected via ethernet, so I always have an option of connecting if WIFI fails.
    I have one iMAC connecyed via WIFI
    I have one Apple notebook conenected via WIFI
    I have one Nintendo Wii connected via WIFI
    And, I have one Apple TV which will not connect while other devices are connected. If I disconnect the notebook and iMAC the Apple TV works fine.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button
