Macbook Pro charger LED goes dim. Why?
So a few weeks ago I went to apple to get my charger checked out. My light was going dim and the charging indicator in the menu bar was acting weird. They did a diagnostic and replaced the charger for me free of charge. It was fine up until this Monday when the LED on the charger started going dim. Does anyone know why this is happening? My charger is only about 3 weeks old, so could there be a problem with the computer itself? Furthermore, my battery has been draining really quickly since before I went to the genius. The computer is just over a year old. It is early 2011 Macbook Pro i7.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

3. Option click the battery icon in the menubar to check the condition of the battery.

Why won't my MACBOOK PRO charge anymore, I am living in China and my 8 month old MACBOOK PRO won't take a charge!! It has now gone flat and I am out of a computer. I bought a new charger but that didn't work. This is ridiculous!!

To check that the battery is damaged, open System Information or System Profiler (in /Applications/Utilities), choose Power in the sidebar, and copy here "Charge Information" and "Health Information". You can also check your battery status in the battery menu, on the menu bar. If its status is Replace Now or Service Battery, take your MacBook Pro to an Apple Store or reseller to have the battery replaced for free.

Macbook Pro keeps randomly going to sleep.

MacBook Pro Charger - Intermittantly Stops Working
Hi All,
I have had my macbook pro now for just over a year and unlucky for me im 20 days out of my 1 year warrenty and now not entitle to upgrade to apple care because of this when i phoned techincal support
The macbook pro charger is working intermittantly so it isnt completely dead.
if i wiggle it around or sit the cables just right it will work but it isnt working 1005 off the time like it used to.
I have a 2010 macbook pro with the L shape charger. I have manager to get another old style T shape charger off my friend which works perfectly with my macbook pro but will this harm my battery life because im using an "older" charger? but its brand new. also do you think its worth going into my local apple store in milton keynes to see if they can help me at all? as my gripe is you pay £1000 for a laptop and one year on the charger brakes. And i do look after my equipment. Its not like i throw it about or mistreat it.
I think it could of happened early if i used it more.
Is this a common fault?

Macbook Pro charger burned- help? (Pics)
My Macbook Pro charger has been acting weird the past few days: not charging, getting really hot, etc. I went to charge my computer today only to find that the coating over the wires was burned and melted!
I charged my computer last night while watching a movie and unplugged it before going to sleep. I did not use the charger today at all so it must have happened last night?
I do not leave it plugged in without my computer attached.
I have a 2010 Macbook Pro 13".
Has this happened to anyone else before? If so, did Apple replace it? Could this have started a fire??

Bad - $89+tx for the charger. Whatever was the actual reason - this must not happen. This thing can burn the house. Needless to mention that this specific charger - I was keeping it always at home and never wrapped the wire around it. Never in my life anything like this happened to any power adapter.

Can I use 85w Macbook pro charger with Macbook?

I have a Macbook with a 60w charger (standard) but I also have a 85w charger going spare from a Macbook Pro, can i use the 85w Macbook Pro charger on my 13" Macbook as a spare or will it damage it?Works fine - no damage. The 85 watt rating is the MAX load it can handle, the Macbook uses less, and will just take what it needs.

After upating from Lion 10.7.4 to 10.7.5, my MacBook Pro will not reboot. Why? What can I do about it?
I ended up having to visit an Apple Store. They claimed that the update must have aggravated an already corrupted hard disk drive. The solution was to wipe my hard disk (fortunately I had recently backed up on Time Machine). The "Genius" also claimed this was the first time he had come across the problem. Although he was clearly able to diagnose it straightaway, and the next person he saw had exactly the same problem with his Mac, and I saw an awful lot of customers queuing up with their Macs and iMacs looking very suspiciously like they all had the same problem! So clearly Apple know what the problem is but as usual treat customers as if they're idiots in order to cover up the problem. But at least the problem is now solved (although having to take at trip out and wait in a queue at an Apple store, and then restoring from backups is a painstaking inconvenience I could well have done without). All I can suggest is that you might as well take it in. None of the "solutions" on the Forum are remotely on the ball, and all Apple "Geniuses" have clearly been told what the problem is and how to fix it. Good luck!
