Macbook PRO - Cursor has mind of own. Lose control and don't know what is causing???

Unable to control cursor at times. Seems to have a mind of its own. Know it is some software, but what and how do I correct???

There are several possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps until it's resolved.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article.
2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check for unknown or forgotten input devices. Disconnect any USB input devices that you aren't using.
3. Boot in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you reboot as usual, stop here and post your results. If you can't boot in safe mode, do the same. If you booted in safe mode and there was no change, go on to the next step.
4. Reset the System Management Controller.
5. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
6. A swollen battery in a MacBook Pro or Air can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced.
7. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
8. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
9. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
10. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.

If you have the right connections, try swapping out the monitor with your PeeCee monitor and see if the problems stays or goes. But does sound like a monitor issue. But then, hard to know what you mean by shadow...

1. It depends on what Mac model you have. If it's incapable of running Yosemite, installing an intermediate version won't help with that.
2. You'll lose the ability to run PowerPC software, and some other programs may also be incompatible. If something goes wrong, you might lose data; back your computer up first. There aren't any issues specifically associated with skipping versions.

Depends on what input plug you'll be using on your TV. VGA, DVI, Composite or HDMI. You'll need a Mini-DVI adapter and a cable from that to your TV. (Composite is the red, white and yellow RCA plugs on your TV or red, white and S-Video plugs.)

If you connect the MacBook using a Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo system for audio if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs or a 3.5mm stereo input plug for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini-DVI to HDMI doesn't carry audio and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.

Look at the more like this column on the right.. this is the most common problem reported here.
You need to restart the TC.. that is all..
Pull out the power cord.. count to 10.. plug in power cord.

Go to Settings>iTunes and App store and sign out of existing account and sign into the one you want.
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

My iphone has the spinning ball of death and I dont know what to do

Well, the story begins like this... my phone died while i was in a bar with my friends. I was the designated driver, so I often use the GPS for our location. Well anyway, it died, and I gave it to the bartender to charge. 2 hours later, I get my phone back, and its charged on 8% -__- we left the bar, and went into a mcdonalds to charge it. It charged fine, up to 50%, then I took it out of the charging port, and the screen was COMPLETELY black. I heard my messages, my ringtones and all, but I couldnt get the display on. When I got home, I searched for answers, how to fix the black screen, but I couldnt find ANYTHING that fit my situation. I have an iphone 4 7.1.2, and the home button is broken. yes I need an upgrade, but i'm not trying to do it now. Well not being able to enter DFU, or turn off "find my iphone" from my phone, I opted to just go to icloud and reset the device. My phone was able to open in itunes at this point.... (my phone is jailbroken) I was relieved that after I reset the device, the light came on as well as proper phone function. After 1 minute, the phone cut off and showed the apple boot and load logo for 60%, followed by the spinning circle. 5 hours later, I let the phone die, and reconnected it. Everything worked normally for 1-2 minutes, then cut off and resumes with the load/boot, then spinning circle. and the same process over and over... If I let it die, I have a 1-2 minute time frame to get my pc to recognize the device. I wish to enter DFU mode then restore it with a backup I created. I've seen almost all of the youtube videos...i tried the stupid paper trick for the home button, and reset but it didnt work. I'm pretty sure the worse thing I did was reset the phone while it was jailbroken.. it would've been easier to work with if my phone was with the dark light. Is my phone a goner? What can I possible do? thank you for reading

If your device has been jailbroken during the warranty, Apple will not service it.

Some of the apps that you do have are very likely corrupt. "Other" is normally about 1GB.
You should restore your iPhone using iTunes. Connect your iPhone to iTunes and choose "Restore" after syncing. You may first want to remove any suspicious apps (those that are not mainstream or popular that may not have their act in order). You can try restoring from a backup, but that may not fix the problem. If it does, great. If not, restore as new and manually sync your stuff back.

Was the box sealed when you took the MacBook home? If it wasn't, I would return it.
Also, check the Service and Suport Coverage on the Apple site. See if the MB has been registered and if so, the date.

I've had my iMac for a while now and really want to learn about things unique to it.

First, Appletalk. I know it's a protocol for Macs like TCP/IP for all computers, but that's the end of my knowledge. What are the benefits of using it? Cons? Would I have any use for it? I have an iMac, Macbook, shared printer (USB'd to the iMac).

Appletalk barely exists anymore, OSX.4.x lost the file transfer ability of Appletalk... 10.1.5 thru 10.3.9 had it! Mainly just left in for discovery of Appletalk Networks and Printers.

the top suspects in your crash report are the TechSmith product and the BlackBerry USB driver. Do the installed versions of these software packages both support Mavericks?
