  • Macbook Pro freezing  (4MEM/66/40000000)

    Hey,
I have a Macbook Pro 13" primo 2011. I've been having this issue with my Macbook where it freezes and beeps three times in an interval until I do a hard reboot. I searched at google, and it seems to be ram relatet, so I have installet Corsair Mac Memory - 2x8GB DDR3 1333MHz PC3-10600 and a new SSD harddrive, but I still have the problem. I did then make a hardware test and it gives me this error code:
    4MEM/66/40000000: 0x830c5a18.
The code seems to be ram related, but I have aldreade changed my ram, so can the problem be my logic board?

I had the same problem with my original 4GB (2x2) ram, thats way I in the first place replaced them with the 16GB (8x2) ram today. But unfortunately I had the same problem with the new ones. Thats why i thought it might be the logic board?
But I might have received some ram which was already destroyed. For when I came home from the store, I discovered that the package had already been opened. I have send them a mail and explained them that I want to return the package when I'm home from vacation.

Though it sounds a bit unfortunate I am experiencing the same error with the new RAM, as I do with the old ones. But I've probably just been unlucky

  • Macbook pro error 4SNS/1/40000000:'TmOP

I just did the hardware test from the OSX install disk and i had the error 4SNS/1/40000000:'TmOP. Although I dont have any weird noise coming from my speakers. Does anyone know with what kind of problem is this error associated with? Could it be due to extra 3rd party RAM?

There are no publicly available charts of the Hardware Test errors. I would take the computer to your local service center while it's still in warranty to ascertain the nature of the error.

  • Error 4MEM/9/40000000: 0x84e86298 ?

I have a macbook pro 17" Sn : C02G308GDF92 and I try to run Apple Hardware Test and comes error 4MEM/9/40000000: 0x84e86298. Anyone knows what's happening with my macbook ? Thanks.

That is a RAM issue.  Take out the modules and clean the contacts.  Then install therm and make certain that they are well seated.
If no success, download REMBER and run it overnight so that sufficient loops are executed.
    http://www.kelleycomputing.net/rember/
This should determine if the modules are faulty or not.
    Ciao.

  • Error:4MEM/62/40000000: 0x83128718

    Hii all,
I did Hardware test for my Macbook pro and I receive this error:
Alert! Apple Hardware Test has detected an error
    4MEM/62/40000000: 0x83128718
What the problem in this  cause

Apple doesn't release the  specific error codes for their hardware tests. This would indicate faulty RAM, however. One of your RAM modules has failed and needs to be replaced.

Hace una semana actualice la memoria ram de mi macbook. That error means yo have a memory problem.
    - First try removing and reinstalling the RAM
    - Next try one stick at a time.
    - What specific memory did yo install? Did the manufacturer specifically say it will work in specific Mac? Macs are picky about memory.

  • Macbook Pro Error

I was wondering if everyone was receiving a hardware error when they run a hardware test. I receive error 4SNS/1/40000000:'TmOP'. I have looked on the board and notice other people have received this message. I was wondering if there was anyone here that DOESN'T receive that message when they do a hardware test. Does anyone know what this error message is actually from?
    Thank,

I have both the whining and buzzing noise on mine but I'm not getting any errors when I run the hardware test. Go figure.

  • Installing AUTHENTIC windows 7 ultimate 64bit on Macbook Pro - ERROR, help!

I am trying to install windows 7 ultimate 64bit (not the beta or RC, this is an authentic windows 7 DVD -- signature edition) on my macbook pro using Bootcamp. When the computer tries to reboot, i get a message that says:
    1.
    2.
    select cd-rom boot type:"
I saw forum posts with this problem where people were using improperly burned windows 7 versions, however, this is not a burned DVD -- its authentic from microsoft. This means i cant reburn the dvd...
    Any suggestions?!

Did you by any chance install Snow Leopard on your MacBook Pro?
My MacBook Pro was working perfectly fine. Installed windows many times the last 2-3 years and never had problems.
I installed Snow Leopard a couple weeks ago and since then I get this exact same error with all my Windows Install discs (ones that always worked before!).
Whatever I do. I can't get any Windows installed anymore.
The discs are fine, Bootcamp menu reads it and recognise it. But the moment you try boot from it you end up with the error the OP is describing!
And all this, after I installed Snow Leopard. Restoring to previous versions of MacOSX did not help!
So it seems that the Snow Leopard installation does something to the DVD drives on the MacBook Pro's (upgrading firmware whatever) and now it's ruined!!

  • Macbook Pro error and need to know about back up.  Urgent!

    Hi guys
I hope you can help. I'm a mac newbie but have a problem here. I have a macbook pro 15.4, the latest unibody one. I have only had it for a couple of months and now it will not restart... It crashed downloading emails and then now never gets past the apple logo with the spinning thing below. It keeps restarting by itself but no joy...;(
Anyway, I read around and tried everything I could find. Safe mode doesn't even start and then in the hardware test mode (hold 't' down) I ran the simple test no problems then the extended test and I ws given this error: 4HDD/11/40000004: SATA(0,0)
I'm guessing hard disk issue. DO I will go tomorrow to the local service centre here in Bangkok (that will be an experience I am sure ;)) but my issue is I don't have any back-ups. The reason is I back up to my time machine from my other mac, an iMac so I didn't worry about the MacBook Pro.
The question is how I back up now or even batter would be if I can back up the iMac saved back up to my Macbook Pro later after it's fixed as they are both running identical data and programs etc...
Is that possible or is the iMac back up not compatible with my MacBook Pro?
If yes, how will I restore the MacBook Pro later and what will I have lost if anything?
If no, what do I do now before I go to the service centre?
Sorry for the longwinded expose but I guess you get my drift now.
I am assuming that this is a repair job in any case or is their a way of fixing a 4HDD/11/40000004: SATA(0,0) error???
Thanks in advance for any help on this...
By the way, both my macs were fine until they downloaded the latest safari version and then both went haywire. I went back to the older version and the iMac is fine but the MacBook Pro has never been happy since. Not sure if this is the rot of the problem or I am just unlucky as this is a brand new machine...
    Cheers
    Paul

    See http://www.apple.com/support/leopard/install/ for more info.
As for data if you dont have a backup of the data before your Macbook Pro crashed you may not be able to recover it. If you do have a recent backup of your Macbook Pro on your time capsule you should be ok.
I always push for both onsite backup and offsite backup to prevent issues just like this. But it all depends on the value of the data you are backing up.

  • MacBook Pro Error code -2104F

Hello, I just bought this macbook off craigslist and I need to restore the computer to factory settings. I got it to go almost the entire way but then for some reason the download just stopped. So I tried it again and Everytime I get to the Internet recovery step( the very first step) I get the error code -2104F. Please help me, what can I do, what does the code even mean?

    Howdy Walffe,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you’re running into an issue with OS X Internet Recovery on a MacBook Pro that you just purchased. I imagine that would be frustrating, but I do want to point you to the article linked below which outlines the supported network configurations and protocols for Internet Recovery which may explain why you're running into the issue.

  • MacBook Pro Errors

I'm having the following issues with my MacBook Pro:
"-10810" Error - when opening some apps. This usually occurs after the computer has been on for a few minutes and after the start-up apps have launched. The error is intermittent...as it only happens occasionally.
With the above error, I also get these errors/issues:
    * DMG Files will not open - "The following disk images failed to load" - too many processesd"
    * Dashboard widgets won't load
My S.M.A.R.T. HD status is: "Verified"

You've installed many apps it seems that modify Mac OS X behavior. Some of these I would question whether they are Universal apps, and even if they are whether they could still be the cause of the problem. One I would look at would be DocJector. Haven't used it myself, but it does have something to do with volume mounting doesn't it?
Many programs such as this are great, but when you start crapping up your system with too many programs of this nature your asking for problems, not to mention the troubleshooting headache.
