Macbook Pro iMessage Sync

I have a 2011 Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite. I have my imessages sync to my Macbook Pro. The issue that I am running into is the fact that every single time I turn on my computer, I need to listen to all the texts coming in since the last time my computer has been on. I went on a trip and didn't have my computer with me. When I came home, it took ten minutes for the iMessage pop ups to go away because it was notifying me of all the texts that I had gotten while I was gone. These are texts that I have already read and responded to on my phone.
Is there a way to cease the notifications on old imessages when I turn on my computer?

No. There is no actual synchronization of Messages data between devices. The messages are received on all devices linked to the account. One device has no way of knowing whether a message has been read on another device. To get that kind of synchronicity, you would have to use email.

It seems like your iPod touch is not recognized by iTunes on your Mac, but your iPhone 6 is working normally.
I recommend starting with these steps to troubleshoot your iPod touch and connection with your Mac:
Check your USB connections
Unplug other USB devices from your Mac and try again.
Try a different USB port.
Try a different USB cable.
Restart your device
Restart your iOS device or reset your iPod.
Restart your Mac
Turn your Mac off and back on.
Update your software
Check for software updates on your Mac.
Check for an iTunes update.
Check your security software
If you have security software installed, learn how to resolve issues between iTunes and your security software.

I have just bought a Macbook Pro and sync data from my old version onto the new one...However when I tried opening the mail client...Message window does not appear.

The old Macbook Pro I was using used Snow Leopard. Now with the new it is a Lion. Toruble now when I click onto new message window I have the spinning icon which show it is trying to load. However it fails and Im left with having to Force Quit it. How can I resolve this problem

Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.

After installing Maverick on my macbook pro, imessage on my ipad and Iphone stopped working properly. Is there a fix/test.

What I get is a RED exclamation and "Not Delivered". It happens even if i resend it over and over.
I have made sure that the 3 devices all have the same settins in iMessage.
I have made sure to try doing it from the same network and from the cell provider network.
I have tried rebooting all three devices.
The only way to get it to work on my iphone and iPad is to dissable it in Mavericks on my MacBook Pro.
Is this a "feature" of the new OS?

Hi,
On the iOS devices remove the Apple ID.
Set the device in to Airplane Mode (this breaks with the server)
Start with the iPhone to add back the Apple ID - only after you see the iPhone Number is Verified.
The Restart the Mac Version
Accept the pops ups that state what the iPhone is using.
Do same on iPad.

I have my ipad, iphone, and macbook pro all synced together. I receive all my emails on the macbook and iphone just fine, but don't receive all emails on my ipad. Some go to Trash because it says they're improperly formatted. What gives?

I receive all emails from senders in my address book in my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but some end up in Trash on my iPad, with the message, "This message cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program. text/plain" They appear to be mainly from competing platforms, android, etc. Is there a workaround for this problem?

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

Voice Memos not syncing from my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro. Sync music is ticked in iTunes along with include Voice Memos box

Hi, I am trying to get my voice memos from my iPhone 3GS to my MacBook Pro via iTunes and it is not working. I have ticked sync music in the music tab of the iPhone device and the include voice memos box is also ticked. So, apparently this should work, but there is no sign of the voice memos in iTunes or in the iTunes folder in the finder window. Any ideas much appreciated! :-) Thank you.

I've always had the "Include Voice Memos" option selected. I think that only pertains to syncing voice memos from iTunes to the iPhone after it has been copied to iTunes. It has to be the new OS/iTunes not communicating that new memos have been recorded. For some reason they won't sync when I want them to, and then a few syncs later they magically appear.
By the way, I'm VERY comfortable with the iTunes and iPhone systems. I've been using iTunes for 5 years, and I've been recording class lectures with the iPhone voice memo app (and another app) for a couple years. It's not an error of not seeing that the memos were added; they don't exist in my library or music folders.

How do I get my New Macbook pro to sync with .mac account????

I just purchased a new Macbook Pro to replace my Ibook G4 which had been successfully syncing on my .mac account with my Imac G5 desktop computer.
The new Macbook Pro has Leopard while my G5 has Tiger. The salesperson told me that this would NOT be a problem at all. I configured the Ical to sync automatically in the preferences along with contacts and mail accounts. They both worked fine but the ICal does not sync.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did, several times. What finally happened is after about 18 hours, the syncing started to work. I think what happened was that the mac server must take some time for backing up or whatever and all of a sudden when it did, it synced....
go figure.

I just downloaded the Pages app for my Iphone4 and I've already had the Pages app for my Macbook Pro and I want the documents (proposals for work) thats saved on my Mac to obviously be available on my phone through Pages. I've turn on the documents & data in both units in the iCloud. I thought the stuff would automatically be transfered. Id there something more I need to do?? And isn't iWork going away? not that I use it (well I did for 2 estimates/proposals) only. Someone please help I've read numerous threads and nothing works.

Apple has not updated the desktop versions of the iWork apps to use iCloud. Until they do you have to use iCloud.com in a web browser or iTunes to sync files. You could also try e-mail or DropBox.
No, iWork is not going away. The iWork.com (beta) service that was introduced with iWork '09 at Macworld in January, 2009, is going away.

I already have an iphone 5 which has music synced onto it from my old laptop. the problem is my laoptop will not turn on unless i endlessly turn it on and off for hours on end. MacBook Pro iMessage problems!

I have just got a MacBook Pro, and I set up iMessage as it was a part of the set up process. I have sent a few messages to friends from my computer, but I don't like iMessage as I've had problems with it in the past, so I disabled it. Now that I've done this, messages that my friends were sending to me via iMessage are not being delivered to my iPhone. Previous to using iMessage on my Mac, messages were being sent to these friends normally via text.
How can I fix up my messages so that my phone will receive them again? As I'm missing out on messages that are sitting somewhere in apple space!
