Macbook Pro + Logitech Wireless Adapter interrupting sound

Hello, I have a problem with wireless streaming of my music via Bluetooth from MacBook Pro 13" Retina Late 2012 to Logitech Wireless Bluetooth Adapter. I use Harman Kardon Soundsticks III (probably irrelevant but just to clarify). I don't have any problems with connection but there are some interference when I stream the music. There are random 1-2 sec interruptions and after that the sound is a bit delayed (especially visible while watching a video) and as you can imagine it is extremely annoying. I don't know how to explain this because the adapter itself works fine. I tried to connect my iPhone 5 to it and everything works flawless. The distance between adapter and MacBook/iPhone is the same (about 4-5 feet). Have any of you ever experienced that kind of issue? Is there any way to solve it? I'm really hoping you can help me out because now the adapter is pretty much useless to me. Thanks!

Just make sure it is exactly the same as the one on the MacBook Pro:

  • Connecting kurzweil sp88 to GB I want to connect my Kurzweil sp88 to GB. The Kurzweil has a baffling array of buttons and possible MIDI channels. It also has the old style MIDI plug ins. I've got the MIDI out connected to my MacBook Pro via USB adapter.

I have my Kurzweil connected to my MacBook Pro via an adapter (old style MIDI from Kurzweil to USB adapter connecting to Mac). The Kurzweil has a baffling array of buttons and possible MIDI channels. Can anyone please tell me which of the channels I should use? Also, should I leave the MIDI In cable out of the Kurzweil? Thanks for as detailed an answer as possible. If you like you can respond directly to me at [email protected]

First of all I do not own this keyboard. But a quick look at the manual (found on the internet) says that when first powered up the SP88 is in Internal Sounds mode. Meaning you hear the sounds selected when playing the keyboard. It also stated that the default Midi Transmit Channel is Midi Channel #1.
Looks like you would need to go to the SP88 Keyboard's MIDI SETUP and simply select LOCAL OFF. Now the keyboard should be ready to transmit Midi Out only and no internal sounds should be heard.
Next you may or may not need to do this but you might need to go into the Utilities Folder found in your Applications Folder on your Mac and double click AUDIO MIDI SETUP the keyboard Icon. Figure #1 below.
Next you need to make a physical connection from the Midi Out of the SP88 to the Midi In on your Midi Interface. Figure #3 below. You may need to Click on Add Device first. Figure #2 below.
In the examples shown below I have a Yamaha Electronic Drum Kit that is Midi Out only... not USB out. I had to plug a Midi cable from the Midi Out Port on the back of my Drum Module to the Midi In Port on the back of my Motu 828 Audio Inferface which is connected to my Mac. Next I created the Audio Interface and Drum Module "Devices" as mentioned above.
I then double clicked on the Drum Module and made my Midi Out Selections. Figure #4 Below. And once it was setup and the icons closed I used my mouse to draw a virtual cable connection from the Drum Module Out to the Audio Interface In. Figure #3 below. This is how I got my Midi Devices to talk to one another.
Once you have made your setup as I have outlined create a MIDI Instrument Track in Garageband, select an instrument for example a Piano then Record Enable that track in Garageband and see if you now hear what you are playing. In this example the SP88 is a Midi Controller only and you will only hear sounds selected in Garageband which is what you want.
Keep in midi your setup may be different than mine. You can keep your SP88 Keyboard on the default Midi Channel #1. That would be a good place to start. Garageband receives Midi on all channels.

Turn off Find My iPhone in iCloud on the iDevice.
Log out of iMessage, Facetime, remove Apple ID from iTunes & App Store.
Use Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Then set it up as a new iPhone with your own Apple ID.

Have a 2006 MacBook Pro with wireless mouse and Keyboard.  Some of keys (caps lock, tab) on KB do not work any longer.  I attempted to replace wireless KB with wired KB, but could not find one that was compatible with Snowleopard (10.6.8) OS.  Would like to replace KB with either another wireless KB or wired KB.
However, in view of the scarcity of the above items, it appears I might serve myself better by fixing my current KB.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

My MacBook Pro has no audio.  Sounds preferences showing output is Optical digital-out port.  How do I change this to built-in speakers?

I experienced this same problem yesterday on my MacBook Pro,  still searching for a solution, several other posts here indicate people have been experiencing this since at lease 2007.  I have  yet to find a clear solution.
It appears that occasionally inserting headphone causes this, it turns on the Optical digital-out port feature (red light glows inside the headphone port) and takes away the internal speakers option.   Restarting did not restore it, but for some reason after sitting asleep overnight the sound started working again and the internal speaker option return in the Sound - Output Window, and the Optical Digital-out option went away.
Here is another post with some ideas on this

  • My macbook pro It has remained without sound and the connector has a red light

my macbook pro It has remained without sound and the connector has a red light. The analogic sound doesn't work. Thanks for your attention...

Plug in and  remove the headphone.
If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
    Best.

  • My Macbook Pro (13-2010) cannot play sound without a headphone

    Hi all,
I tried my best to solve this problem but cannot make it. Could anyone shed some light on it?
My Macbook Pro (13-2010) can play sound well with a headphone, everything is OK. But when I unplug the headphone, it cannot play sound. The keys on the keyboard cannot adjust the sound. A sound adjustment sigh will appear on the screen, with a stop sign at the bottem of the full volumn bar. The volumn bar does not change when I tried to change it by function keys.
It just happened several days ago and I do not know why.
    Thank you for your help.
    Best,
    Vincent

hmm... I got it worked by plugging in the headphones and unplugging many times...
I hope it helps if you have the same problem.

  • Macbook Pro makes wireless for iMac G3 + wireless receiver

First a situation sketch of my setup:
My Macbook Pro is connected with an ethernet cable to the internet cable modem. The sharing settings is set to share the internet from the ethernet port over airport. The internet shared through Airport is spreading out IP addresses using the 10.0.1.2.
The iMac has a wireless internet receiver (Belkin Wireless G Adapter, Serial: F5D7330) connected to it and working.
Now I wanna know how I can set-up the iMac G3 (Tiger) to receive the signal from the Wireless adapter that it gets from the shared Airport internet signal. It seems that right now the signal is not ported to the iMac G3 as it should be. The Airport is not protected with any password or key, so the Wireless adapter can receive the signal without problem.
The lights on the Wireless adapter are blinking, but the iMac G3 doesn't get any internet signal.
What can be the problem here? I already tried accessing the web-based interface of the adapter, but I can't seem to access it through the iMac.

Then I think the issue is with the Belkin F5D7330. It is a gaming adaptor. Connecting the Wireless G Gaming Adapter adds wireless capability to your Xbox®, PlayStation®, or GameCube™
You need an airport card in the iMac. So again. Why don't you simplify your life and get a wireless router? Hardwire the iMac to the router and when you come over you use the wireless.

  • MAcbook pro - Logitech  Bluetooth mouse

    Hi there,
I have had a Macbook pro for 6-7 months now (lovin' it). I'm using it for graphics (adobe suite) at work. Connected to it is a Logitech V470 Cordless (Bluetooth) Laser Mouse. Everything was working fine. Suddenly the mouse started to lag horribly, goes slow, u cant even click on a button not to mention doing precise jobs like graphics. Could somebody help me out with this? Do i need to reinstall the system? (Leopard 10.5.5) Or maybe do a clean install? Would it help?
The things i tried so far:
Replaced the batteries in the mouse
Connected the mouse to another pc (it worked perfectly so it's not the mouse)
Installed the setpoint(hate them) drivers (did not help)
    Uninstalled the setpoint drivers
Tried to turn off the airport card - didn't help
Pleas help me it's sooo annoying.
    Thanks in advance!
    Steve

While I'm not 100% satisfied with it, I recently switched from the puny mouse to a microsoft wireless laser 8000 (Bluetooth) and for the most part I like it. I haven' yet experienced any lag, it tracks better over surfaces like bedding, sofas etc. than the mighty mouse, and while I have yet to figure out how to program the side to side functions of the scroll wheel to act as 'back' and forward' buttons when browsing, many of its 5 buttons can be integrated into OS X. For instance, pressing the scroll wheel down yields the same effect as with mighty mouse: all app windows are pushed to sides to reveal desktop. The two more awkard side buttons can be used for expose or spaces, and lo and behold, the bloody mouse has a right button as well as a left, unlike that white horror I paid $70 for through Apple.

  • Macbook pro 15' power adapter not working

When I was using macbook pro 15' early 2008 this morning, the power adapter suddenly did not work. The led light on the power adapter blanked and the status bar showed that I was using the battery. I am sure about the power adapter is fine cause I try it on another macbook pro and it works well. I have tried to take off the battery and the power adapter for 30 secs and then press the power button. But it does nothing good. I have tried to press the option + command + "R" + "P" and power button to reset PRAM. But the problem is still there. Now I have run out my battery what should I do ?

It sounds like the power board inside the MacBook Pro has failed, best get it to an authorised repair centre.

  • Connecting my MacBook Pro to my DVD Surround Sound Speakers?

I'm a student filmmaker in the UK and pretty much do all my video editing from my bedroom using Final Cut Studio. I am using a MacBook Pro3,1 (bought in 2007) and have recently decided that I want to start working in 5.1 surround sound.
As I have no surround sound speakers with my MacBook Pro, I was wondering if it would be possible to connect it up to my DVD surround sound system? This would ultimately save me having to buy a compatible set and having two lots of surround sound speakers around my room...
My DVD player is a Panasonic SC-PT150. The 6 surround sound speakers each connect to it through the standard +/- "clip-in" wire set up (which, obviously isn't compatible with my MacBook Pro). There are also two AUX sockets (one for Left and one for Right) on the back of the DVD player. So far, I have tried connecting my MacBook Pro to these sockets using a Mini plug to RCA cable, however, all I get is an incredibly loud humming noise.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might, either overcome this problem or, get the setup to work another way? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks both of you for your help.
It doesn't mention either of those connections in the manual, however, yes you are right, it takes digital input. I'll have to call and check if the toslink cable is compatible.
I tried connecting the mini-stereo-to-RCA cable to my Nokia phone (which is actually where the cable came from) and that plays through the DVD speakers just fine, when i select AUX mode. Although, as you said, it only plays stereo.
Say the mini-toslink cable is compatible, would I need to get a 5.1 surround sound card for my MBP?
    Thanks again.

  • Late 2007 MacBook Pro S-Video adapter no output.

I've troubleshooted everything I can, so hopefully one of you can help me!
My Fiancé's mom has a late 2007 MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion. She has an older tv, so I was wanting to mirror the display so she can watch Netflix on her TV.
After digging around on the Internet, other users said the APPLE M9267G/A adapter solved this problem without the need for a converter box, or upscaler. Needless to say, it doesn't work..
I've tested the cable, port on the computer, and they both work. I've tried running just the yellow Composite video out instead of the S video through the video in on the TV, and a VCR... Nothing.
I used my old Powerbook 1.67, which has an S Video out to the TV, and it works perfect. When I plug the adapter into the Powerbook's Dual Link DVI port, same port as the MacBook Pro, it doesn't work..
I chose S-Video, even though the TV has Component inputs, because other forums said it wouldn't work without an expensive converter box.
They said this would be the solution.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Same problem, though with an early-2008 MBP. Things worked fine with 10.6.x and as soon as I went to 10.9 the external display stopped working.
The first time I plug in the adaptor (whether or not there is a video cable attached) the screen goes black and nothing shows up on the external screen. When I unplug the adaptor, I get the display back on the MBP but it's at low resolution and it has put me at the general login screen. When I put the adaptor back in the second time, it essentially locks up the display to where it is black and no key presses or adaptor removals brings the display back. I have to reset the MBP by holding down the power button. I submitted a bug report too, but have no faith Apple will do anything. Big fail, Apple.

  • How can I fix my MacBook Pro losing wireless connectivity with Epson Stylus NX625 printer.  It will work once and then I get an error saying the printer is not connected.

I can connect to my Epson Stylus NX625 through my wireless network and print a page or two, but then the next time I go to print it says that the printer is not connected.  Any fixes?  I have tried deleting the printer and re-adding it to my MacBook Pro OS X version 10.9.4, but sometimes it doesn't even find it, and other times it says it is connected, but when I go to print it says not connected.  Very frustrated.  I have also installed the latest drivers, etc.
    What now?

Your computer is going to run hot while playing CPU/GPU intensive games - it should heat up and the fans should be noticably loud. As to why it's 'crashing' - can you post a kernel panic log? You may have some third-party kexts that are causing the problems.

  • Macbook Pro with Denon AVR-X3000 / sound problem

    Hi there..
I have a retina macbook pro and I am trying to connect it to Denon AVR X3000 surround receiver via. HDMI
Denon is connected to the TV from HDMI out, so I have no problem with sending the video to the LCD via. receiver.
My problem is with the sound modes.
Normally, as the most basic example, when I connect my Apple TV to Denon and LCD with the same HDMI way, I get all the digital sound modes such as Dolby Prologic II, Dolby True HD, DTS: Neo6 etc..etc... And I get a very quality sound, with all the channels seperated etc.
But when I connect my Macbook Pro to the system with the same way, what I can only get from the receiver are : STEREO, MULTI CHANNEL IN, MULTI CHANNEL STEREO and VIRTUAL.. I do not see any DTS, Dolby Digital, etc.
Also, I can only get the "surround effect" from "MULTI CHANNEL IN" sound mode, but this time the audio quality is really bad...
Tiny Apple TV gives me great sound but MB Pro cannot..
I have tried to change some settings from the AUDIO MIDI setup, I chose 5.1 multi channel but nothing  happens from here...
By the way, I am using Mac BluRay player and I am running bluray films from my computer.
In my opinion, MBP cannot send high definition video and dolby-dts-prologic sound to the receiver at the same time..
I don't have quite experience about this issue, maybe it is something, very simple. But I couldn't manage it.
Maybe MBP is not capable of doing this... If so, I will be really disappointed because I was looking forward to purchase a Mac Mini and use it as a HTPC..
All suggestions, recommendations are highly appreciated... THX

Hi, i don't have a solution but i can share my experience with you which is similar. Mac Mini connected to Denon. On Mavericks  OS btw.
    two things.
    1. i was fiddling with the System preferences at one time, under Sound, playing around with the output options, honestly forgotten what i did but i managed to get into all the options as per normal, such as Dolby Cinema. Problem is, once i restarted the Mini, the same problem occured. Only those as u mentioned, Multi IN etc.
at this point, i am still trying to figure out.
    2. I tried switching to windows, and the problem disappear. Meaning, the sound mode options are as per usual.
u have any luck yet ?
