MacBook Pro - New HD: Nothing working
So...I have this brand new MacBook Pro. I've had it for 3 months and I've already had the HD changed, about 2 weeks ago...ever since I've reinstalled everything on my computer through TimeMachine, everything's just been wrong.
I cannot open Microsoft Office anymore, I cannot open my CS2 anymore (I've even tried removing everything and reinstalling and the reinstallation itself is not working)...When I'm connected to MSN or Skype, the webcam isn't working, my iTunes plays 'ghost' music as the music is playing perfectly well, but my music library isn't showing up...
I've gone to the Genius Bar 3 times since I have this computer and I've tried calling the Apple Service Center and they are telling me about this (miraculous) DVD to reinstall Snow Leopard that they are going to send me and that I absolutely have to wait for in order for them to help me out...
I'm just getting frustrated and irritated. Has anybody encountered a similar issue and and if so, what have you done to resolve it or what am I doing wrong?
I would manually copy my files back to their original folder.
Let start with itunes.
On your computer
1- locate : home folder (user)/Music/ iTunes
2- delete it
on your time machine backup
3-locate the iTunes folder (same path)
4-copy "iTunes" back to your computer (same place as where you previously deleted it).
5- restart your computer
6- if that solves the issues do the same with all other data/apps you are having problem with.
That is what I would try.

I am trying to add a wireless printer to my MacBook Pro. It was working properly until we had to get a new modem. I have gone through the steps with the printer customer service rep, and it was working properly for one day. When I booted up the next morning, the printer was no longer "connected". It will work if I have the printer and computer connected, but I much prefer the wireless capability. Suggestions? The printer is a Brother MFC7860DW. The other laptop in the house (Dell) can print wirelessly so I don't think it's an issue with the modem or the printer.

Macbook pro charger isn't working
my macbook pro charger been not working these few days.i've got no idea what to do with it.i've been using this mac for around 2 years so i don't know if it's under guarantee..how much does it cost me to repair the charger ? or should i just buy a new one ?
If you have bought AppleCare Extended Warranty, MBP is in warranty for 3years
from the date of purchase.
Best thing to do, is to take the MBP to the Apple store for evaluation and possible repair / replacement.
Try Reset SMC. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

MacBook Pro charger won't work
My new macbook pro's charger stopped working. I tried switching outlets to see if it would work but it didn't. Also I noticed something strange, when I plug in the MacBook into different outlets the LED on the charger turns on for one second then doesn't work (Does anyone know why this happen and if there's a fix?). Also is there a way I can check if the problem is within the MacBook or the charger. I can't really go to an apple store so please don't say call apple or go to the store, and I dont have any other computers to check if the charger works on, thanks in advance. I hope there's a way to fix this problem. I tried cleaning the MagSafe place and tried SMC reset, anything else I can do?
If this is a new MacBook Pro, do you mean new to you since Apple no longer sells the MBP with Mac OS X 10.7.3 That would be at least a three year old machine.
If the Apple store is not an option, you will have to call Apple for help, try the AppleCare support number from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 or start a service request by going to the ExpressLane at https://expresslane.apple.com -
My MacBook Pro keyboard doesn't work to log in, but lets me type if I'm logged in as a guest. What do I do?
OK, some more info.
I have re-installed os/x and applied all of the updates.
I have tried to migrate my existing accounts and the problem consistently manifests as below:
1. In a new user account, I can log in and use the keyboard then logout
2. If I log in to the migrated user account, the non-numeric keys on the keyboard do not work. If I then log out, and try to log in to another account on the same machine, the non-numeric keys continue not to work.
This would seem to suggest that as the profiles being migrated are on a machine with the same version of up to date OS/X, the issue lies with either the Macbook Pro (other people have also had keyboard problems) or with the migration assistant not working properly given that the current profiles work fine on another mac.
Any more ideas anyone? -
Video no longer works on iPad. My videos, you tube, Netflix, news casts, nothing works.
Try this and see if it fixes it for you. Close all apps in the recents tray and then reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of all of the app icons. Tap the home button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Hello. I recently pieced together a late 2008 MacBook Pro 15". Everything works fine except the battery constantly goes between "not charging" and "calculating" or, rarely "charging". It does charge after a long while and will report that it is charged.
I have reset the NVRAM and the SMC a couple of time but that didn't work so I ran an Apple Hardware Test and while testing the logic board it gives the following error:
4SNS/1/40000000 LB1T
I've done some research and found this is a temperature sensor related to the battery, but cannot find where the sensor is located in the computer. Would you know how I can find the sensor to test it? Could my battery problem be related to something else? Would a fresh install of Lion help?
Thank you!
Mike
Two pieces of information that may or may not b helpful, the hard drive is from my early 2008 MBP and the only test disc I have access to is from an iMac.Why do you have LION installed on that older machine?
So you say you built a macbook from a bucket of parts eh? Kudos
heres a pic of the battery temp sensor -
I have a Serial Number which worked fine on my MacBook Pro but does not work on my desktop PC (Win 7). What is the problem?
You haven't identified the version so I can't tell if offering you contact options for Adobe Support will be of use to you. But they will likely be your only hope of getting resolution unless you just happen to be using the wrong number as the serial number.
For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

Macbook Pro (2011) froze while working, forced shut down, now won't turn on. Grey screen with apple logo and spinning wheel for hours. Help?
Unfortunately do not know the operating system since I never updated anything and I can't get in to it.
Thanks for your assistance. If you want to preserve the data on the boot drive, and it's not already backed up, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is not fully functional. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
1. Boot from the Recovery partition or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) Launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.”
2. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, boot the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
3. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data. -
