Macbook Pro not installing Mavericks
My 2012 13" Macbook Pro was acting so slow lately that I could not use it. I tried to reset it to factory settings by following instructions found online. Now the computer fails to reinstall Mavericks. Any suggestions?
It starts on a screen where I have to enter my apple id and password and the first time I tried to download it, I left it download for 17 hours and it stayed on "Less than a minute" left for the complete download for 15 of those hours. The second time It refused to even start the download and said "An error occured during download".

MacBook Pro not installing OS X 10.6.4
I got Ilife 11 and tried to install it. It said i had to update my software so i got out the Snow Leopard installer and tried to install it but i just said it cant install on my Computer. I have a MacBook Pro with MAC OS X 10.5.8 software. Can you help me or tell me what's wrong?
You need to use a retail package and not one from a different Mac model.

Could anyone know what could be causing this?You posted in the "Snow Leopard Forum", so I assume that is your correct version of OS X? If so, OS X 10.6.8 is the last version that Apple put out, so there are no further "Updates" for it. If you mean you want an "Upgrade" to 10. 7 "Lion", or 10.8 "Mountain Lion", you have to purchase those from the Mac App Store. They are not Free.

Macbook pro not installing Numark NS6 drivers.
Okay so i bought a Numark ns6 to dj with and i was using it just fine on my osx 10.8 but now its not allowing any audio out on the ns6. i went to their forums and it said that the new drivers do work with Mavericks 10.9. however i have a friend who is using my device on his laptop and has updated to Mavericks 10.9 as well and his works just fine. so i found the versions of software he is using and i downloaded them however the drivers will not open and install on my mac. any suggestions to get this to open and install the drivers so i can get back to playing gigs at night?

MacBook Pro not charging after Mavericks update
Is anyone experiencing an issue with not being able to charge their Macbook after updating Mavericks? I'm unable to charge my 2011 MacBook Pro that has Mavericks installed. This issue appeared only after running the latest update from Apple for Mavericks. I tried running the SMC reset but it still won't charge.
I had the same issue, when i updated to mavericks my charger stop charging sometimes the light would go orange sometimes green most of the time would be off but charging, i returned to mountain lion as the moment of the reinstallation was complete the charger started working and light was on and now is working perfectly no problem. I guess i will stick with mountain lion for now. I hope this helps.

If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -

You can force quit by holding the power button down for extended period.
During boot up hold down the Option key and choose your Macintosh HD OSX.
In >System Preferences> Startup Disk>choose your internal OSX System as Default. -
I have a macbook pro with OSX Mavericks 10.9.5 and some keys randomly are not working. Specifically, the enter/return button, the "p", "0", ";", and all the function keys. What's really weird is that happens randomly. I've never spilled anything on it, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this. Can anyone help? of course this happened after my warranty expired.

I don't know if this will help someone but I am posting this for that purpose. In the past when I first had this problem, I'd read a post somewhere (sorry, long ago, don't have the link) where an individual was having the same problem and they stated that when the MBP got heated, that's when the keys would stop working, and they went into the MBP and jiggle some stuff around (a specific wire, I'm not electronically inclined so I know NOT of what they spake!). Well I didn't want to do that but it always stuck in the back of my mind. I had given up, really, and was planning to take my MBP to the apple store. But by chance one night I left my MBP on the floor where it's cool, and when I turned it on, the problem went - poof! It seems there was some validity to the post that spoke about heat, because my problems started when I would stream foreign dramas on my MBP for hours at night, and I would hear the fan going off all the time, and in the mornings, my "p", "enter", "0", ";", and all the function keys would stop working.
So, maybe try keeping the MBP in a cool place when it's off. Since I've started doing this overnight every night (keeping it on the cool floor, out of reach of any big feet), I have not had a single problem with my keyboard.

new macbook pro loaded with mavericks. installed CS3 including prompted Java update. try to open photoshop & empty splash screen pops up-can't go further. tried newer java update-same result. shut down 4 times-same. any suggestions?

I think the 10.9 java updater is installing version 7. -
I just installed a wireless cable modem for a desktop PC and my MacBook Pro; After installing, I changed the password on the wireless connection at the PC but it is not being recognized by Airport as the new password. Can anyone help?

When I sync my iPhone 5 running ios 7 to my MacBook Pro 13" running Mavericks the "Show iTunes in the cloud purchases" is gone. After syncing and disconnecting the iPhone 5 the option is back, but it has been unselected. Is this a know bug?

I'm still getting email in "messages" folder and email folder
