MacBook Pro RAM can't be removed and does not detect the other RAM?

I tried to push the clips on the side and they won't come out. There's two RAMs in there. Both 1 GB. The computer detects only one of them. I believe I have placed both of them properly. It says it have 1 GB. It should be 2 GB. It also says that BANK 1/DIMM0 is empty. How do I fix both of this problems?
If I have to take it to the apple store, how much do you think it will cost?

If the clips won't push out easily then rather than force anything I think you should take it to an Apple Store or dealer and have them take a look at it, probably won't cost much at all but that's better than you busting something ...
