i'm user of Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013 and bought it week ago.
and i found there's connection problem in left side USB port the lightning cable and old cable as well in ipad, iphone.
when i connect the devices with cable to left usb port. it repeats continuosely connect and disconnect constantly.

Take advantage of the warranty that comes with your MBP and make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. Bring the devices that are causing the connection issues with you.

Hi All,
I got my new MacBook Pro Retina (15 inch) about 3 weeks ago. It works fine. I got a 30" Dell screen that I am using via thunderbolt/usb adapter. Also, I am using a thunderbolt ethernet adapter. Both adapters work fine without any problems.
I have an apple usb keyboard connected to the USB hub of the screen, as well as my iphone cable. It is a regular, full size apple keyboard. In addition to this, I have a logitech nano connected directly to the right usb port of the macbook pro.
This setup was working well until a few days ago. I lost connectivity with my mouse. Initially, I thought the batteries are empty. After replacing them, I still had no connection (again, the usb receiver is *directly* connected to the macbook).
I changed a few cables here and there and noticed that I can get either the keyboard to work or the mouse but not both at the same time. A reboot did not help.
Did anybody encounter such a strange problem already? If so, what could I possibly do?

It is certainly difficult to use the computer if your wireless keyboard and mouse do not connect. I found a few resources I recommend for this issue.

If the iPhone works correctly on the other port, then the fault lies within the MBP. Bring it in for service.

I own a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) with a 500 GB Apple SSD SM0512F (Revision UXM2JA1Q). I’d like to replace this original SSD with a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 1TB. Am I going to encounter problems in trying to remove & replace the SSDs? That is, are they the same type of SSD, with same connection?
I plan to have a "tech" do the actual work inside the MacBook Pro, but I'd like to know if the current SSD can be easily replaced with the Samsung SSD 840 EVO?
Please note that I am so "green" that I'm not even sure if this provides adequate information to answer my question!

it's not possible to replace your SSD with 840 EVO.
Samsung 840 EVO is a standard 2.5" drive with SATA connector, while Retina MacBooks use proprietary "stick" form-factor with PCI Express interface.
AFAIK, there are no compatible PCIe SSDs on the market, the only upgrades you'll find are for earlier (2012) Retina MacBook Pros which use SATA.
If you're looking for extra capacity, external USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt HDD/SSD is the best option.

The patch is only for MBP late 2013 13 inch. 15 inch is not able to install this patch
I'm facing this problem intermittently.
When my keyboard & trackpad went unresponsive, I plug in my USB keyboard and the keyboard & trackpad went back normal.
I search the web and somebody highlight it may due to connector to keyboard/trackpad appear to be curled.
Not sure is hardware problem or software bug...

I'm asking this because, hdmi 2.0 allows 4K output at 60hz (right?) versus 30hz for HDMI 1.4a. I might connect another 4K display to my mac in the forseable future.

HT1338 MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch left speaker

MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch left speaker not as loud as the right all daignostics have been done as well as the balance fromsystem pref pane is in the center still no luck even the PRAM was reset for a machine thats less than 3 weeks old! Called in apple support but no luck have been told to take it in for repairs all i want is value for my buck and time did not pay for a machine to have its second repair in less than 3 weeks first repair was the top case due to the keyboard being missaligned and now the left speaker not as loud as the right RIDICOLOUS NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH APPLE PRODUCTS! WOULD ADVISE TO REFRAIN FROM RETINA 13 INCH WASTE OF MONEY! Bought second week of february 2013 ! QUESTION IS WHAT CAN BE DONE ON APPLE PART??? THEY DO NOT WANT TO REPLACE THE MACHINE AS ITS MORE THAN 2 WEEKS OLD AND WANT ME TO WASTE MY TIME AS A STUDENT GOING AROUND THEIR APPLE STORE WHICH DO NOT PROVIDE FOR A PROPER SERVICE ALWAYS "WE'LL REPAIR IT" WTH!! I DONT WANT A REPAIRED LAPTOP AGAIN AND AGAIN SINCE I DID NOT PAY FOR ONE I EXPECTED IT TO BE TROUBLE FREE NOT TROUBLESOME ??!!?? PLEASE ADVISE ON WHAT TO DO HAVE HAD IT WITH THEIR SERVICES AND PRODUCTS EVEN THOUGH A DIEHARD APPLE USER BUT THIS WAS AN UTTER WASTE OF 1600 DOLLARS PLUS TAX !

Adjusting the Audio MIDI solved my problem thanks! What exactly caused the problem for me is unknown. Over the weekend, I did use iMovie, DivX, and audio spliter and I did connect to a pretty sophisticated audio system. One of those things surely was the gremlin.

4k Monitor w/ MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)

I am looking to purchase a 4k monitor. I am attempting to determine if I can get full resolution 4k res at the 60mhz level. From what I read, I can only get 30mhz via an HDMI connection on the laptop. However, this report varies all from different sources.
Ironically, I just bought this MacBook Pro 13in in January 2015 and now the new MacBook Pro 13in just came out w native 4k res support.
My setup:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
3 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris 1536 MB

If you purchased the product from Apple, not a third party, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to return it for a refund or exchange. You are well past that.

I do not have an answer to that and the Terms of Use for these forums discourages from speculating what Apple may or may not do in the future. Having said that, from a practical business standpoint, backwards compatibility would be a sensible approach. It has been done so in many areas in the past.

I have a similar OfficeJet and it was a multi-step process. (1) Install printer drivers on the machine, (2) Add the printer queue in print & fax, (3) Run the "setup wizard" from the disc for wireless printing.

OS X Mavericks cant be installed to this computer." How can ı solve this problem!??

One way around tis is to borrow a Mac that can run Mavericks and then the download will work. You can use these instructions:
