Macbook pro retina not upgrade os x 10.8.2

My MacBoo Pro 13 inches retina display, not upgrade to OSX 10.8.2
Somebody help me whit thos issue?
Thaks

The reason 10.6 won't work is because that disk is specific to your neighbor's computer since it came with the computer. You'll need to buy Snow Leopard.

You can use the combo update to get to, 10.6.8.

  • Is SSD of Macbook Pro Retina Display upgradable

I have recently purchased (19th November,2014) Macbook Pro, Retina Display, 13' i5 Processor with SSD 128 GB. Now I badly want to expand my SSD with another 128 GB. Please advise me how I will do that. What is the cost for it?

Can't I upgrade SSD as my current One is SSD? Is not possible to upgrade SSD instead of SD?
At the present time there is NO SSD in the after market compatible with your MBP.  If you are really desperate for additional storage, you only get it by purchasing a new MBP configured with the amount that you require.
    Ciao.

  • Imessage on macbook pro retina not working

Hi, i just bought a macbook pro retina display  OS X 10.9.4 and entered the data of my applestore account on the imessage app but each time I try to send a message gives me the following sign "+54 9 11 ....... is not registered with iMessage."  although it is a registered number (my own iphone). I have no idea where to look.  Thanks a lot for your help

    Hey vero smith,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like iMessage does not recognize your phone number as being registered. To help troubleshoot this issue, see the following resource:

  • Macbook Pro Retina not working with HDMI

I have a Mac Book Pro Retina that will not work using the HDMI port. I have tried with two Monitors and difference cable and the issue happens on both. I connected one via a Display Port to VGA and it works fine.
I'd like to use the HDMI port. I am running Mountain Lion 10.8.4 (Latest Version).
I have tried deleting the pref panes as outlined in ofther links. Aslo reset pram without sucess.
Is anyone using a Macbook Pro Retina with builtin HDMI port sucessfully with 10.8.4?
If you are using HDMI with Display port let me know if I should get an adpater to test.

    Hi walkerheather,
It sounds like you've already done most of the pertinent steps here:
Apple computers: Troubleshooting issues with video on internal or external displays
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1573
I would recommend going through once and trying anything you may have missed in the section "No video or no signal, image distortion, 'snow,' or flickering" and then follow these steps from the very bottom:
If you tried all of these steps for your display and the video issues persist, contact Apple technical support or take your Apple computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail Store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).
Note: Diagnostic fees may apply for issues not covered under warranty or the AppleCare Protection Plan (APP).
    Take care,
    - Ari

  • Late 2013 13" MacBook Pro Retina SSD Upgrade

So I just got a Late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 128GB (MacBook 11,1) as a gift. After using the computer for a while, I realized that I need more space on my machine. So I called, chatted and went to the apple store (Walnutcreek, CA and Plano, TX) to see if they can guide me or help me on the upgrade of the drive. The representatives from all these locations said that unfortunately currently there is no upgrade options available for this machine. At one point, the rep. told me that I can ask a Apple authorized company to do the upgrade for me and my warranty will be voided but my apple care plan will still be valid and accept it for repair. They also provided me sites like: OWC, Transcend, Macsales, etc. to try and see if they have something that can help me on my issue.
But my main concern/question is that this is a "Late 2013" model and we are currently in year 2015, why hasn't apple or other companies come out with some solution to this issue?
Does anyone have other solutions that they can suggest to come around this issue?
Reminder - Late 2013 13" MacBook Pro 11,1 retina display mac
    Thank you

Yes, I actually tried all these sites and notice that they currently don't have anything for MacBook 11,1 (Late 2013 13" MacBook Pro Retina).
That's why I was asking for other solutions. But thank you for the suggestion.

  • Bluetooth on Macbook Pro Retina not working

I am having trouble with the bluetooth on my MacBook Retina Display (software is up to date). My MacBook will not connect to my iPhone 5, nor will it connect to the bluetooth headphones I just purchased (Sony MDR-XB950BT). When I try to pair the devices to my MacBook, nothing comes up in the field of recognized devices, except for other laptops around me. Sometimes, my iPhone will show up quickly but then it will say the pair was unsuccessful. My headphones have never appeared on the devices list. However, I can connect my headphones to my iPhone perfectly fine.

I have a macbook Pro 2009.  Have a bluetooth speaker device that will pair to my iphone and my husbands iphone but not the computers.  He has an ibook which is I think 2006 or so. The instructions say to turn off any other bluetooths, so I did on my ipad and on my phone but on my computer it will NOT shut off. I am using Yosemite. I have no other devices paired to my computer.
The bluetooth may not have been able to be turned off in previous systems, I don't know I haven't looked in a long time.  I'm not even sure it is working even though it says it is on. Someone on another post in mavericks said to archive and install system. I don't know what it meant by archive and I don't want to reinstall the system. Every thing works accept for this far as I know and I don't want to reinstall again. Leave well enough alone is what usually works.

  • Macbook Pro (Retina) not recognizing USB devices?

I'm having some odd troubles with my Macbook Pro that I haven't had before.
I have an iLok that's not being recognized by the computer so I can't start up Pro Tools; however, when I tested the iLok on my sister's Macbook Air, it was recognized fine on iLok.com's tests (that also proved not to work with my Macbook).
I also have an Anker 4 port USB hub (not external-powered) that was running my Intellimouse by Microsoft perfectly fine until I shut down my computer last night and turned it on this morning to try it out.
Strangely, the mouse works directly on the USB port, but won't when attached to the hub anymore. The hub worked with another device but my ILok doesn't get recognized on my Macbook through it either (or any of the 2 ports directly either).
I tried an SMC reset (ctrl+shift+opn+power) and a PRAM reset (cmd+opn+P+R on power-on), but everything is still haywire.
I might have installed some updates last night, I can't exactly remember but vaguely can recollect a dialog box from the App Store.
What can I do to really resolve this issue? Is anybody else having something of this sort happening?

Just wondering if you ever found a solution.  My mbp retina is not finding my iLok 1.  No green light. Max 5 won't authorize.

  • Macbook pro will not upgrade to lion

I am trying to uprade my MacBook Pro to Lion.  I have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and am running it on 3 other computers in our home.  I am struggling to get this computer to load lion.  When I go to the App store, and click on install I get the grey circle that just keeps going like it is trying to load, but no progress is ever made.
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

No, I only have 1GB.  I missed that on the specs - that would have been helpful.  I might have to add some memory...
    Thanks!

  • Macbook Pro Retina not keeping accurate time

I'm having an issue with my new Macbook Retina.  I've noticed the clock is off a few seconds every day and it accumulates.  I run some ham radio apps that rely on a precise clock and this is a problem.  I have the "set date and time automatically" box checked.  I prepared a script that forces ntp to update but it has to be done manually since it requires root password.  I would imagine that the system would calculate the clock drift and adjust its update schedule to keep it accurate at least to a second, but I don't see this happening.  Also checked the system log and I don't see ntpd updates.  Is there something wrong with my mac?

Triple-click the line below to select it:
    /etc/ntp.conf
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a file selected. Open the file in TextEdit and post the contents.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select

from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • IMessage on Macbook Pro Retina not Responding

On my Mac, I recently found a problem. I looked it up and did not find familiar problems. My problem is that my iMessage on my Mac does't open. I restart my laptop and it still doesn't open. I delete it from my Dock and open it from Applications and it still doesn't open. I've tried many things and it doesn't open. I always Force Quit and and it is always never responding. I just got this Mac for about 2 months. It is not that old. It doesn't seem to happen to any of my other apps. I'm getting frustrated. Help?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

  • Macbook Pro Retina- not 3 months old - will not install operating system

My computer which I bought in May 2013 and have had documented problems all along died last Monday after taking it in for them to test the hard drive. They said it was fine. Within 20 minutes of using it nothing worked at all. I talked to a Tech supervisor - he walked me through erasing everything and then reinstalling. It said it could not download components to install OS X. I tried again. Same thing. I talked to a different Tech supervisor who had me do an internet recovery and then try and install - same message. Now he says for me to take it back to Apple and have them do it. The thing is.... he said when I get it home I'm to work with a tech to install all the software on piece by piece to make sure none of it caused the problem(this same software is still on my old computer and works fine) then piece by piece reinstall all my data. OK... a pain but... However he said a month or more down the line - it still could be the hard drive and we will have to do this ALL over again!!!!!  I have taken the computer into Apple several times, I have talked with Apple Care people countless time, sent reports in all all the crashes... and yet they can do nothing more. I haven't had a useable computer in almost a week and this is OK on a basically brand new computer..... Has this happed to anyone else? I do not have much confidence in Apple as the third time I took it in the guy in the one to one session, did something to totally screw up my email and internet connection and it took me too several hour sessions with another Apple Care supervisor to get it working- this was of course just outside of their 14 day return policy - I think it was 21 days out! Very upset this may continue to be a proble. I thought Apple was supposed to really stand behind their products- they tell me all they are required to do is to keep fixing it as long as I have Apple Care - then what? Thanks if anyone has any thoughts!

This has not happened to me, but in this case, you'd do best to move "up the chain" to find satisfaction. Set an appointment with your Apple Store and outline your situaiton; they probably have customer service notes. You shouldn't have to do any fixes yourself; the Apple staff should do this for a machine that's still under warranty.
If this doesn't work, then ask for a supervisor. Don't fall through the cracks. Demand a fully working computer, or demand a replacement that works. When you reach a dead end, ask for several specfic contacts. Names and email addresses.
And then, there's this: http://www.computerlemonlaw.com/rights.html Your results will depend on your computer and the laws in your state.
And please post here with your results.
