MacBook Pro's iTunes incessantly asks for Apple ID, TWICE
For the past six weeks or so, every time I open iTunes on my MacBook, and every time iTunes was already opened, I close or minimize the window (not quit), a window appears with iTunes' request that I enter my Apple ID. TWICE. This also happens if I plug in an iPhone or iPod (because my preferences are set for those to open iTunes if plugged in.) Is there a way to disable, or to set it once and not be bothered every time I want to listen to something? Thank you!

The hard drive crashed on her Macbook Pro (bought it in 2011) so she brought it to the Apple Store to get fixed. Now when she turns it on there's a blue screen with the Apple Mac OS X sign-in box in the middle asking for her username and password. Look at the manual for the router. The password is on the router. Then change the password in the router to something other than the default one and use that password when the iPod asks for it (it will only ask once, once it has the password/router combo in its memory, it will remember it)

Stuck w/$800 iTunes voucher; asked for Apple Store Voucher! Help!
I was exchanging a ton of change at the Coinstar machine and an employee of Safeway insisted on "helping" me. They asked what type of gift card I would like, and I asked if they had one for the Apple Store. They said yes, and I asked to give me the first two buckets for the Apple Store. When finished, they handed me a $500 and a $300 voucher for ITUNES!! I contacted Coinstar and was told I cannot exchange for a different voucher, and that I would have to do that through Apple/ITunes. I called Apple customer service and also called one of the stores and they said I would have to do so through ITunes customer service, since that is with whom I have credit and they can exchange for a store gift card. I have no idea who to contact or how! Please help me!

I have a Retina Macbook Pro, but iTunes is asking me to insert a disc. Well, I can't. Why has Apple not fixed this. I want to enter my code and get my movie.
I know that this isn't a real solution for your computer, but the digital copy is tied to your Apple ID. So if you have another Mac, you can redeem it on that Mac, then download the movie to your Retina MBP (Movies in the Cloud FTW).
If you don't own another Mac yourself, find a friend's computer, log out of his iTunes (or make a new user account), log into your Apple ID within iTunes, Authorize iTunes, then insert the DVD and redeem it. I redeemed Skyfall & Frankenweenie from an iMac at work just to see if it works, which it does. Heck, I don't think they even need a Mac, a PC running iTunes should work! -
I have moved everything from my macbook pro onto my iMac. For some reason I cant see any of my music in iTunes even though I have logged in with my normal apple ID. Please help me before I kill something!!
How did you go about transferring your library onto the iMac? There are specific instructions one must follow to do this correctly without causing loss of data. Simply signing in via your Apple ID won't do much of anything unless you are an iTunes Match subscriber.
Did you just copy the entire iTunes folder over? If so, Quit iTunes then hold down option and click the iTunes icon in the Dock. Don't release option until the popup appears asking if you want to create a new library. Simply navigate to the library in the folder you copied over.
If you didn't go about transferring your library in that way, and you still have the MacBook Pro, follow these instructions to transfer your library properly to avoid data loss.

Cannot get iPad 2 charged beyond 1%. All charging ports tried: AC adapter(s), USB 2 port on MacBook Pro. ITunes shows iPad only for a few seconds. iPad displays alternately: Apple logo, battery w/slim red band, then battery w/1% charged information. How can I get it to charge beyond 1% so I can proceed to troubleshoot?
I have had your exact problem with my old 3GS, now I cannot even get it to turn on, I still see that it is supposed to be charging though, but it never charges any so it seems.
I replaced the Lower Dock Connector Assembly back when it still charged while hooked to my PC, and it found it made no real difference.

when attempting to log into my account on itunes it ask for my password! I put my password in then I get the prompt again asking for my apple password! I put it in again and it still won't take!! I bought a used macbook pro from a friend. Software updates are available, but when I try to update, the computer asks for apple id and will only accept the former owner´s. How can I connect my macbook to my apple id?
The first thing you should do after acquiring a used computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them. -

Try the advice here. I had the same problem and it worked for me.
You have to delete the "SC Info" folder from /Users/Shared. You will have to use Terminal to enable you to see this folder first. Make sure iTunes is not running when you delete the "SC Info" folder
There is an article from Apple on this here. The "SC Info" folder contains iTunes authorization information.

Downloading apps it asks for apple ID Pass then it says "verification required". Then says Security Code required. Doesn't accept code. itunes doesn't accept code from visa card either?Please Help
If it is trying to verify your payment info, I would be willing to guess that it is looking for the security code for your credit card. Did you credit card just get replaced lately or the expiration date change? When is the last time that you updated your payment information in iTunes?

Can someone connect in FaceTime if they are using a friends Macbook Pro, yet, doens't have an Apple ID?? For example, I have an IPAD and a Macbook Pro. Can I connect to FaceTime on my Macbook Pro and connect with a friend using my IPAD????
I have also tried changing the contact emails(you can contact me by) in Facetime(diff email for IPAD and Macbook Pro). Facetime tried the call, I see the accept buttom appear and it goes away as the call never connects? Any ideas??

after i have downloaded an album from iCloud to my new macbook pro. Itunes will only play one song at a time. If i hit the fast forward or back button will not do anything. I have to use the mouse to hit the next tidal in the album then hit play for it to play the next song. Or put it in the UP NEXT.
First, make sure these items have checkmarks next to their names in iTunes. Continuous playback only works on checked items. Itunes will play all checked items in a list whether or not they're from the same album.
If you see that nothing in your library is checked and you want to check everything, hold down Ctrl while checking an item. This checks everything.
Next, fixing the "1 of 1" problem is easily. Select all the tracks that make up the book/album. Let's say there are 15. Press Ctrl-I. Doublecheck that the album box is filled in with the name of the book, and if not, type it there. Enter "15" in the box for the total number of tracks. Click OK. Now all the items should be "1 of 15," "2 of 15," and so on.
