Macbook Pro - Student/Staff Discount

Hi,
I wanted to know if the student/staff discount on mac book pro is valid outside the U.S. I am currently working for a University in the Middle East and would like to know if I can purchase a mac book pro on a discounted rate.
Note: I believe the mac book pro + itouch 8GB is only valid in the U.S
Thanks

  • Buy a MacBook Pro using Educational discount and ISIC

    Hi,
I'm a Brazilian student and i'm traveling to US this month. Could I use my ISIC(Internacional Student Identity Card) to buy a MacBook Pro with Educational Discount?
Sorry for my poor english, I'm still learning this language.
    Thank you.

    Terms and Conditions:
Those eligible to purchase from the Apple Store for Education Individuals include faculty, staff, students and parents as follows:
K12 - Any employee of a public or private K-12 institution in the United States is eligible. In addition, school board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members are eligible. PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers are eligible.
Higher Education - Faculty and staff of Higher Education institutions; and students attending, or accepted into a Higher Education institution are eligible to purchase. Purchases from the Apple Store for Education Individuals are not for institutional purchase or resale.
It says that just who studies in a American K-12 institution is eligible for the discount. But I study in a Brazilian University, and for this I think that there is no restrictions. I just need to confirm this information.
    Could anybody help me?
I don't live in the USA, that's why I cant call for an Apple Store and ask this for them.
A MacBook Pro here costs something between 2000 and 2500 dollars, that's why I want to buy one in the US this month.

  • Synch USB student files with my MacBook Pro student files

I regularly use my USB at college to do class lab exercises then come home to my MacBook Pro (2011) and want to synch just those modified files with my student files on my MacBook hard drive.  Then at home I use my MacBook hard drive to work on homework with the college's LMS (Learning Management System), and I save those files (in the same-name folders) on my hard drive.
Is there a way to easily (a) synch changes made and/or (b) folders & files modified in the various class folders that I regularly use on both my MacBook Pro hard drive and my designated USB drive for classes?

Back to my mac will also work but i am not farmilar with it.

  • Price for remaining 1.83 15" MacBook Pro stock?

Would it be expected that any remaining 1.83 MacBook Pros will be discounted now that they're techinically below the lowest configuration for that model, until current stock is depleted? Refurbished on the Apple Store is down to $1599, so shouldn't new in the box follow suit?

You can have mine for £300! Apple robbing the customers blind at the min with their random pricing and replacement scheme! I know this sounds drastic but PC's are sounding tempting! At least their support is completly open when it comes to problems!

  • In the UK, if i get a student discount, is the warranty covers my macbook pro for 3 years?

In the UK, if i get a student discount, is the warranty covers my macbook pro for 3 years?
I bought a new macbook pro yesterday, and I received a student discount, but I found out that my warranty is for just one year.
Yes I can see at the "Online" Education store, that it should be 3 years, but the thing is I bought this at the "retail" store in London.
I think it should be 3 years as same as at online store,
Can anybody help me about this?

Call AppleCare UK and ask them.  (44) 0844 209 0611****£0.05p per minute when dialed from a landline within the UK. Call charges may vary when calling from a mobile phone.

  • Combining Mover's Discount Coupon and Student Discount Coupon on Macbook Pro with Retina Display

    To whom it may concern,
I've recently saved up enough to buy a Macbook Pro with Retina Display 13.3" with 8GB Memory ($1235) and I read on a few forums that you could combine the Mover's Coupon and College Student Coupon on the Macbook. However, with that discount, many customers had trouble because the sales associate/manager said it wasn't applicable to apply the Mover's Coupon and neither was it applicable to combine both coupons.
As a result, I called my local Best Buy in Brooklyn, NY (Bay Parkway, Store #599) in advance to double check if it was possible so that I wouldn't be wasting my time trying to argue with the store manager, etc. The sales associate said generally, I couldn't combine two coupons regardless of what type they were.
I was wondering if combining the Mover's Coupon and College Student Coupon still applied to the Macbook Pro.
If it did, would it be possible for someone to directly contact my local Best Buy store manager or sales associate that would be ringing me up and explain how to do it and that it is possible to combine the two coupons. I also have a $100 Best Buy gift card that I intend to use with my purchase so I was wondering if that was applicable on top of the Best Buy coupons.
Attached is the link below for the specific Macbook I intend to purchase.
    Thank you for your help.
    Best,
    Wilson

    Hello Wilson,
MacBook Pros are fantastic machines! I have owned one myself since 2010 and it’s still running smoothly. They can be quite the investment so I can understand why you would be looking to combine coupons and use a Best Buy gift card.
Best Buy gift cards are accepted as a form of payment, so you shouldn’t have trouble using a coupon and a gift card together. You can check out more information on forms of payment on our Payment Methods on BestBuy.com.
I would like to discuss your desire to combine these coupons further so I am sending you a private message. You may check your private messages by signing into the forum then clicking the envelope icon in the top right corner of the page.

  • Bought Macbook Pro for $1199. Realized I quailed for student discount.

I bought a new macbook pro 9 days ago after my macbook pro of 2 years crashed due to logic board failure. I went on to buy the same computer as before, and currently now, old version of the macbook pro for $1199. I just discovered I was legible for a student discount of $200. Am I able to receive a refund of that money or upgrade my computer to the newer macbook pro, which would come out to be the same price as what I paid for the older one given the discount? Very dissapointing that the gentlman assiting me in my purchase did not informe me about the student discount, as every other saleperson there has always been kind enough to do so.

As we are all other users here, it would be best if you asked at the store where you bought it - ask to speak to the manager and take along your machine and your receipt. You have 14 days to return it if you bought it at an Apple store, so you could also just return it and then buy another.

  • MacBook Pro with student discount

    Hello
I just read somewhere that if you buy a MacBook Pro (or any other Mac) from the online Apple Store with a student discount that it is a refurbished one you get. This because it's with student discount.
    Is this true?
    Thanks!

I do not believe that is true.
    See: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/campaigns/back_to_school
Or were you talking about a different discount?

  • Apple student discount on Refurbed Macbook Pro

Hi, can someone tell me if Apple offer the educational discount on the refurbished macbook pro's and also is financing available on these models too?
    Many thanks
    Gordon.

Checking on the US Store and Education store: my answer is no.
Of note: it does calculate different savings amounts (based on the ed pricing). The prices are the same.

  • Student discount for a macbook pro, how do you save $200?

With the discount you can buy it for $1099 the 13inch macbook pro, thats only $100 discount (regular price $1199). Can someone explain please why it shows you can save $200?

The higher the price, the larger the discount.
On MBP 13" you get $100 off, on 15" (all models) you get $200 off. Sub-$100 discounts for Time Capsule, etc.
