Macbook Pro Turns off every two seconds

Macbook Pro keeps turning off every two seconds, not completely, it just goes to sleep, I cant even log in cause it just turns off, i really need help, someone please help me!?

It would be helpful if you indicated the model/year MBP that you have and the OSX.
Perform SMC and PRAM resets;
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
http://web.archive.org/web/20140711222006/http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
Then try a Safe boot:

If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation.

Try reinstalling the OS. This will not delete anything. The following works for Yosemite too

  • My 2009 Macbook Pro turns off every 5-15 minutes

Yeah, the problem started happening a couple of months ago, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I found that if I were to turn it off nightly it would behave better. It was fine for a while, but as of late it will shut off about every 5-15 minutes. It was getting finiky too, if someone bumped the desk funny it would turn off. I tried resetting the SMC but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.
Any ideas? I've thought about doing a clean install of the OS again, but it seems like it might be a hardware problem, so that probably wouldn't work.

I would suggest making an appointment at the nearest Apple Store Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider. What you are describing seems to show a problem with hardware.
To make an Genius Bar appointment check:

To find your nearest Apple Service Provider check the link below and then click the "Service" box. There you will be able to put your location.

It might not hurt to run the Apple Hardware Test that came with your Mac's OS & Application Software DVDs and note down any errors reported by it. For more information about the AHT visit:

  • Why does my iPad mini keep shutting off every two seconds?

Why does my iPad mini keep shutting off every two seconds?

I doubt that anyone here can answer that question with any validity...
That being said, try to reset the device:
    *Device reset*
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

  • MacBook Pro turned off on its own and now won't turn back on.

MacBook Pro turned off on its own and now won't turn back on.  Battery had 41% just before this happened and green indicator on power cord is showing, so it seems like it's charging.  What should I do?

The led on the power adapter should be amber if it is charging.  Green just indicates that it is supplying power to the MBP.
    Try a SMC reset:

However mine skips this completely and just turns off. WHY? does this mean the battery is bad?
Resetting the PRAM (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/26871.html) fixed the problem in my case. then i did the calibrate the battery again this time it went to sleep not shut down i did this 3 more times why?
the 3 forced shut downs without entering SafeSleep. with logs indicating improper shutdown, will that cause severe corruption to the os and do i have to reinstall the os now?2.66 ghz 2010

This is a current sensor on the power bus. This seems consistent with your symptoms.
A faulty sensor on the logic board means  the board has to be replaced,  take in for repair:

macbook pro turns off when i unpliug

You either need to plug in your charger and if that isn't working if your machine is less than a year old take it in to your nearst Apple Store and let them deal with it. Or if you are out of warrantee you will need to get a new battery for your Mac

  • MacBook Pro turns off in seconds.

My wife has a 2008 MacBook Pro and when she turned it off last night it's decided to not turn on again. If I just push the power button it stays on for about three seconds, then shuts off. However if I hold the power button down and don't let go, it last about 6 seconds before shutting off. Nothing ever shows up on the screen. I've tried it with the battery in, with the battery removed, and with both the battery and it plugged in. Any ideas? My fear is its bit the big one. Thanks in advance!

Take it to an Apple store or AASP.

Reset the SMC (System Management Controller) and re-calibrate the Battery then see how it behaves, if it still does the same thing then I'd be calling Apple about a replacement.
