MacBook Pro: Where is the Command button?
where is the command button? i need to hold the command and option button while connecting my ipod to itunes for something.
It's the key with a cloverleaf and/or Apple symbol, depending on the keyboard you're using.

The sound input going to the mic is not going to pipe through the speakers like that. It doesn't do it because it would cause a feedback loop on itself. The mic input will take sound and output it to a program or to another pathway (like a VoIP or Facetime call, etc.) but it won't behave like a Karaoke machine if that's what you're thinking.

Do you mean the Command/CMD key, or some reset button?
If using a PC KB it's likely the Windows key that equals CMD on Mac. -
Whenever I lock my screen on my mac (by closing the lid) the login screen I see on reopening my computer is a faded version of my desktop image (which is normal, and fine) however when I close my laptop while it's in fullscreen mode (when I'm using a web browser or other application in full screen) the lock screen displays the default desktop image, which is what i'm trying to change. My macbook has always done this.
My computer is running Mac OS X version 10.7.3
I've been looking for a way to change the default wallpaper on my mac, so that when i lock my screen in full screen mode the lock screen displays my selected wallpaper image (the same one as is on my desktop) instead of the default (andromeda galaxy). Can anyone please provide me with the location of the default image file (if it's even accessible) or maybe even provide me with a way to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!Hi Mr. Wog,
My guess is that once you see an estimate for replacement for hundreds of dollars, those scratches won't look too bad anymore. There are products to cover the outer casing, and some people put stickers on, or even paint (I don't recommend either, but ymmv). Good luck. -
In MacBook Pro, where is the "DONE" button to save my editing changes and revert back to the iphoto library?
If you're using the Adjust editing pane there is no Done button. When you done with the editing just click on the Photos button at the top or use one of the arrows at the top to advance to the next photo. No done button required.

Is it possible to run two different versions of Apple operating system (for ex. 10.6.8 and 10.9) on a MacBook Pro, either on the same disk or from an external hard disk? If so, where would I find the details? (In order to be able to use the older applications no longer supported in 10.9)
If you want to add a second partition to the internal drive (in Disk Utility, select the drive, then open the partition tab and just click the + button), you should first be sure that you will have enough room to accommodate whatever the second volume will be. I am currently doing this for Snow and Mountain Lion.
To get to whatever volume is not the startup disk, restart and hold down option/alt at the chime, which will bring up a selection of the two volumes. Use the left or right arrow keys to select it and then hit enter/return. -

Where is the mute button on a MacBook? I see F10, F11 and F12, but when I push each, nothing happens when I'm in iPhoto running a slide show and trying to turn the volume down. (I now understand how to mute the music...just have to be sure to punch "set as default" after un-checking the play music button.

There was some updayts for my iPad 4 automatically downloaded. After installing it, the iPad began to restart itself every few minutes.
I tryed to update my iPad using iTunes. After connecting to MacBook Pro, where is installed all latest software, iPad is recognised as "iPad", Serial Number: n/a. iTunes run recovery mode, trying to restore iPad firmware, and in the end unknown error occured (3). Tried many times, not results. And now iPad stays only in recovery mode, can't switch it off. How can I solve this problem please?When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

i can't change the brightness on my macbook pro. i tried the buttons on the keyboard, went to settings and tried to do it from there, didn't work. i have restarted my computer as well and that didn't make a difference. please help.

I am traveling and cannot connect my bluetooth keyboard to my MacBook Pro where I am. It was working fine when I left home. What can I do to fix the problem?
If you can get them paired again try making them "favorites" from the Bluetooth system preferences.
Try smc and pram reset too. May gave to do this before you can get them paired. -
I purchased the Microsoft Office last September at an Apple Store. I recently had to bring my MacBook Pro back to the store because of some issues. Reboot caused me to lose Office and I no longer have the passcode. Where can I find my duplicate code? I no longer have the receipt so I can not call the business to find my duplicate code. Looking back at my bank statements, this purchase was quite spendy so I hope I will not have to purchase it again if possible! Any advice would be great!
