Macbook Pro with Retina Display crash 3 times on the first day
This is my first Mac computer and it's not a cheap one.
I upgraded the spec on the laptop so it took a while for it to ship.
But within the first day, I got three crash already. I google on the issues and it seems like I'm not the only one who having this problem.
From what I read over the web, the crash is related to the graphic card.
Will this issues be resolve any time soon by update?
Should I go exchange for a new one at the apple store? I really don't want to wait another month again.

I see a mention of Google Chrome and VirtualBox in your log. Stop using those and see if the situation changes? From what we know so far, the problem is a software one (Apple's fault), not a hardware problem. Mountain Lion is supposed to fix the issue, which should be out in about a week. So you could wait til then, upgrade to ML, and see if its still crashing or not.

Can you use the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display straight out of the box, or do you have to charge it up fully before you can use it. I do not want to damage the laptop by misusing the battery.
Attach the charger and start charging the battery to 100%. The good news is that after you have connected the charger, you may start using the MBP as well.

I just purchased a 2014 MacBook Pro with Retina display with the following specs:
2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.0GHz
16 GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
Intel Iris Pro Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5 memory
I am running Premiere Pro CS5 with Mercury Playback GPU Acceleration enabled, but my computer keeps freezing and I have to restart it every time. Any kind of help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.I had to call Apple and the tech made me enter a bunch of terminal commands to fix this. Unfortunately I can't tell you excactly what it was. I think the best way would be to call Apple.

I recommend a non-Retina MacBook Pro unless you need the Retina display. MacBooks Pro with Retina display are very limited and you can't replace anything if you don't want to void warranty. Also, repairs are more expensive, so purchase AppleCare for your MacBook Pro with Retina display.
Go for the 15-inch MacBook Pro if you need good GPU performance. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display has got an Intel HD Graphics 4000 as the graphic card, and it's not supported in Adobe apps, for example. Also, apps that require GPU performance won't work properly.
If you are not going to do any heavy task, the 13-inch MacBook Pro should work -

Flash Builder interface looks blurry on MacBook Pro with Retina displays.

AndreyI was having the same issue - couldn't believe my eyes on how horrible and fuzzy Flash Builder looked on my new Macbook Pro w Retina. Was suffering through it for the past week and just found this work around that someone figured out for Eclipse that also works on Flash Builder (guess b/c it's built on Eclipse). Here's the workaround: Do "Show package contents" on the Eclipse.app. Edit Contents/Info.plist. Just above </dict> </plist> Place this: <key>NSHighResolutionCapable</key> <true/>
Instead of Eclipse, show package contents on Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app. After you edit the Info.plist file, go back up to the Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app and duplicate it. It will create a Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 copy.app. Delete your original Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 and rename the Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 copy.app to Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app. Then launch Flash Builder - you should see text that is much clearer. The graphics on the ui are still blurry but at least the text should be crisp. -
Every time I use safari on my macbook pro with retina display, only half the page will load then it freezes up? It's brand new, so I don't understand why it would be doing this?

Actually you could get student discount from apple and a 10% dicksmith with limited time and I think jb hi fi gives even better discount. But lets see what other people think?

When is the safe time to buy a Macbook Pro with retina display

I saw some issues lately with Macbook Pro with retina display in discussion and it seems the number is increasing. It might be a bad batch. I want to order one and I have to do it online (because of a student discount) and it's going to be hard for returning and swapping.
How long should I wait to have more stable MBPR out there to order one? Or it's not like that and bad batch could happened anytime.

About student discount, I'm currently at Malaysia and there is one store in our University which has student discount and he said he's not going to have retina display in his store anytime soon. So I have to order online which it lets me order from education store easily and btw I want to upgrade the RAM to 16G.
And yes you were right about this place and the numbers of people with problems. I did use 14-day return policy once it was so easy and awesome. Then there is no worry here and I can order mine too.

I know many have this issue but i can't find a solution to the problem. i get message saying insuffisiant disk space in the volume iPhoto library and i have plenty of space available. i have the new macbook pro with retina display. i have never seen this message before and i have 2 other macbooks and have had many other also. i am assuming this is a problem with the new macbook retina. does anyone know the exact fix to this issue? i have seen many sugestions to try to fix this issue but none have solved the issue for anyone that i can find in the Apple Support Community. thank for looking into this in advance.
******A true apple fan********Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.
