MacBook Restarts After Closing The Screen

I have a new MacBook that I purchased the first of October. It has been running great until recently. About a week ago it started restarting itself after I closed the screen. I can use the laptop with no problem and then close the screen to let it goto sleep. When I reopen the MacBook it will restart the machine. At first I thought there was something with OS. So I installed a new hard drive and reinstalled OS X. The MacBook still restarts after I close the screen. I have installed the new firmware updates that has come thru on software updates. I am stumped. Does anyone have any ideas?

The same is happening here, though only intermittently. I have a MacBook 2.0 purchased in May. The issue just started within the last day or two. I have not tried reinstalling anything or swapping drives, but on the surface, this would appear to possibly be related to the "MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.0" released and applied 11/13. This was said to address "start up and wake-from-sleep issues on MacBook computers."

Usually when the memory size changes, the system can recover.
Remove the battery and AC Adapter, then remove one of the Memory Modules, and power up.

MacBook freezes after shutting the screen closed down

Since some time ago, my MacBook freezes when I close the screen down for substantial time like a few hours or maybe even an hour, so that I have to kill the MB by pressing the power button for a few seconds. I did this almost everyday for maybe a few weeks now. Perhaps this is the after effects of a fall and there is no cheap cure for it?

Many here have reported no wake from sleep or failure to sleep, running 10.6.3 and other versions, on MacBooks and MBPro's, using Parallels and VMware. Some say deactivating the Sudden Motion Sensor and shutting down Parallels and VMware ,before sleeping, helped.

Powering up after closing the screen

Ok so this is somewhat of a odd question I know but please hang in there. So I have a rental MPB and well it is generally crappy. I am having some issues with it that are so infuriating that there are times I just want to throw it out the window. So as I said it is a rental and I have been keeping it booted into Windows 7 via bootcamp because I have a better MBP and I like usign that in OSX. Additionally, there are a suite of programs that I need to run on a frequent basis, about 3-7 or more times a week and it is a pain to keep booting into windows and back on my other computer and additionally I am not a huge fan of keeping parallels running all the time and booting that up takes just about as long as an entire reboot. So now the rental MBP is what I think a 2009 model and it has an Intel Core2 Duo 2.26GHz and 2GB RAM and is running a 64-bit OS. I have the setting configured on the MBP in windows 7 enterprise to put the computer to sleep when I close the lid. Now my problem is I am having the hardest time waking the computer sometimes. I regularly cannot get the screen to come on or the computer to wake and am forces into hard shutdown and reboot. How can I avoid this? I need to be closing the lid often and opening it because I am very mobile with the labtop and need to transport it. I know it goes to sleep by the glowing light on the front, but when I open the screen it goes off and the screen just stays black. I cannot get it to show the login screen after sitting and just pressing and and all of the keys on the keyboard. Is there any way to aid in waking this computer, am I experiencing this problem because I am using bootcamp?
P.S. all of the apple software is up todate I have been checking reguraly.

You're probably experiencing the problem because of the defective GPU on the 15" mid-2010 models. While it's a repair that Apple will fix for nothing, since the computer doesn't belong to you I don't see that there's anything you can do about it - complain to the rental company about not having the problem 'fixed' I suppose.

Yesterday I noticed that my mbp 2011 dos not sleep when closing the screen cover. Today I Turner my laptop in. However the fan was working loudly and stayed loud. After Start I noticed an X on Battery symbol. Clicking on it, it showed 'no battery.' I found out that a potential solution for this problem was SMC reset. I also noticed that the leds on magsafe was not lightning. Despite this I tried to execute the smc reset as described on apple support site. Switching off, plugin the magsafe connector, pushed the buttons shift + alt+ ctrl + power. Then i pushed the power button, but my mbp is not turning on. I pushed several times on the power button but nothing works. The magsafe is also dark meaning the leds not lightning. Can anyone here help me on this ?

I've had this problem on my Windows XP for years. it's been around, unsolved, or no solutions in these forums.
It keeps reminding me why Apple will never be the primary office computer company. Anyone running a business cannot have software running that will not behave, won't shut down, or behaves without any explanation, and this problem has no explanation, or solution that I can find except to use task manager to kill the process and only use iTunes when I'm expecting to shut down or kill the process.

SAPgui.exe is running even after closing the GUI components

Hello All,
Even after closing the SAP GUI components like Bex, WAD or RSA1 etc... i am able to see these processes are running under the Task Manager--> Processes....
even if i try to restart the system, error messages are occuring...saying that SAP is still opend...
Why it is happening, any ideas?

Thanks for your infomation. Infact, apart from this problem, i have the problem with saving the webtemplate. As it is taking much time to save a template after modifications, i had to terminate the wad process. It seems above 2 problems are related....any ideas?

Premiere Pro CS 6.exe stays active after closing the program

I am experiencing a problem with Premiere Pro CS 6.03. When I close the program, the second monitor would not return to desktop (it stays a black screen). The premiere pro cs.exe is active in taskmanager. Only after I end the exe process would the second monitor return to desktop. I am not using any third party hardware, only Adobe player for second monitor out. This problem occurs often, but not every time I use Premiere. I have never experienced this problem in Premiere Pro CS 5.03, which is still installed on the same PC. The technical Spec is: Intel 3930K, 32 GB RAM, GTX 560, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have tried to toggle between different NVidia drivers, but with no effect.
Any help would be appreciated!

I've had the process stay open after closing the program as well, but only on one of my two machines. For me, the 6.0.3 update seemed to correct the issue. Not sure why it's still happening in your case.

have you tried disabling then reabling the 3G setting on your iPad after waking the iPad?
It may be that as it goes to sleep the iPad loses the 3G connection, you may be in a low connection area, and then has problems finding it again, this can happen occassional with WiFi.
If you go into Settings, then Mobile Data and toggle the On/Off switch Off, then On again, see if that brings it back without restarting the iPad.

Moreover depreciation is to be run for all periods you have not run earlier. Please check upto which period dep run has happened. Thereafter close the fiscal years in order thro AJAB.

Take a picture of your toolbars so you can easily reconstruct them from the default after solving the the problem.
If it happens to you it will probably happen again in the future so you might want to keep some copies of your modified localstore.rdf file so you can delete the bad one and rename one of the replacements in waiting. Saving, copying and renaming must be done with Firefox down, of course.
