MacBook running tediously slow

Question

Hi there,
My Macbook has been running very slow lately with the rainbow spinning wheel appearing constantly whenever I try to do something. I've noticed as well my macbook can take awhile to startup with the grey loading screen.
The only intensive activity I do is play world of warcraft. But lately the game has been stuttering as well because of my laptop freezing. I decided to reinstall the OS completely and it's been no bit of difference.
Any ideas? My apple care ran out in feburary too :/
