In the process of burning music to CD, it just processes and checks the songs, then it says Finishd before its even started and says "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The media is not writable" is the CD burner broken or somthing, because on the PC the songs burn to CD fine

back up your iTunes, and re-install iTunes from apple.

If that still fail, maybe you got a faulty optical drive.
Bring to apple store and have 'em check it for you.
Also post your problem on iTunes forum, maybe more expert user can help you up there.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
If your sister doesn't know the password for her old ID, and if her old ID is an earlier version of her current ID, she needs to temporarily recreate the old ID so you can delete if from your phone using her current password. To do this, have her go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with her current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to her old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to her old email address. You can now use the password for her current ID to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for her old account ID. After you do this, Next, have your sister recreate her current ID again by going back to https://appleid.apple.com and changing her primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.
Then your can save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to the camera roll on your device, then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted. You will be prompted to either keep or delete the iCloud data from your device. If the data is already in another account you can choose Delete. If you need to migrate it to another account, choose Keep, then choose Merge when signing into the new account.

MacBook wont allow reinstallation of OS?

I just bought this MacBook and Deepfreeze was installed on it but locked up pretty bad. it wouldnt let me reinstall the OS and would tell me that it couldnt be "installed on this computer". So I erased everything with disc utility after booting from the install disc (gave me the same message) and I zero'ed out the HD and repartitioned everything.
It still gives me the same message, but now i cant boot from my HD. It wont even recognize the partition. I can only boot from the disc, and without it, i get a flashing folder with a question mark on it.
HELP!!

Try this:
Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
DeepFreeze may install something with the boot loader. That means to release the computer completely you need to uninstall DeepFreeze as opposed to simply erasing the drive. You may want to visit the DeepFreeze website and ask their tech support for assistance. I suppose you can't rule out that the hard drive is no longer working.
Since you erased the hard drive you will not be able to boot the computer except with the installer disc.

My old iphone 4's lock button broke so i got a new iphone 4 and used my back up to put all of my stuff back on my iphone. Everything went back on it except for my music. I plugged it back into my Macbook and it synced for a while and then "There is no more space in your harddrive to continue to sync" popped up...it also said to delete items to clear space. So i went to my finder and i accidentally deleted like all of my music files! The music still shows up in my itunes library but when i click it to play the music, a pop up appears saying "Cannot locate this music file" or something like that and it has a button that says "LOCATE" so i press it and it tries to locate that music file but there is no music file there. Please help! i need my music back! thanks!

You need to restore the files from the most recent backup of your computer.
You can redownload iTunes purchases. -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you do not have other items backed up, you cannot restore them (because you do not have them in a backup to restore from).

Help! For some reason i-tunes 12 wont allow users to re-download past purchases all at once like it used to. Is there a way around this? It will only allow you to download what it calls "Recent Purchases" which in my case only would allow 250 items. I know i have at least 700 tracks if not substantially more possibly over 2000 tracks but I can't be sure. I don't know how to find that information, I've looked in itunes under the my account past purchases but id doesn't tell you how many total songs you have purchased or any relevant details. It only shows you small chunks of receipts by date but no total tracks purchased in an easy to view snapshot that I could find. The current support page says that if you have more then 2000 songs the "ALL SONGS" tab now listed above the left pan with all your purchased artists, will change to "Recent Purchases". IF apple changed this on purpose to stop user from downloading there entire library to cut down on bandwidth they have really upset me this time. At present the only way I can download all past purchases is by selecting each artist listed in the left pan one by one selecting the "Download ALL" button at the bottom right corner of the page at which point I have to input my apple password each time, which really slows things down. I have hundreds of artists and if this is the only way for customers to re-download there entire library this is ridiculous and really unnecessary to put customers through this kind hassle just to re-download all there past purchases when the whole idea of i-cloud is to make downloading and using your music simple, quick, and convenient on multiple devices. I know the old saying "your responsible for backing up your data" yeah I know that and I've been doing that for years when no one really should ever have had too. There is no reason a service that sells music digitally should not allow customers to be able to re download content purchased on there service regardless of the fact that people should just back up anyway as an extra precaution. Well sometimes backups fail like in my case and I have to re-download. No wonder paid subscription plans are so popular. You don't have to deal with any of these issues. I can only hope this is some kind of oversight by apple and will be fixed soon. Can anyone offer a quicker solution or any information about this issue? I would greatly appreciate any helpful assistance.

After spending way too much time dealing with this issue myself, I discovered that you can:
- Within "My Music", select all the songs you need to download (all w/ the cloud icon - use Shift-Click)
- Right click and select download
All songs will begin downloading from iCloud

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

If you subscribed to iTunes match the songs are kept in icloud. If you didn't but you did save the actual iTunes library folder which should include the music, video, etc. you should be able to just drag this file back to your machine in the same place and when you open iTunes it will give you a chance to identify the iTunes library folder.
You can test this to find out if you saved the media files or not and don't need to attach your nano to do it.
You are correct that once you connect the nano it will clear the existing files from it and sync it with the new iTunes library.
If you don't have the media files i'm not sure if/how to get them back on a windows ipod. I have everything backed up regularly because of the horror stories I have seen & heard.

It is a new thing with apple - if you didn't buy the music from them- you can't transfer it to any idevice
anymore. Its a new feature with the newest itunes update.
Evidently it is to force us to buy all music from apple . the problem with that plan is- all the music I already have
is now useless. Am I supposed to re buy 140gb of music? that's 40,000$.
I guess the trick is- don't do updates anymore till I get all my stuff moved out of apple.

You can only drag and drop if you have iTunes configured to manually manage music. With the iPod connected to the compute go to the Summary pane for the iPod and check the box under Options that says sync only checked songs and videos.
