Macbook wont open up to mac platform, goes directly to windows platform

When you turn on macbook it will not allow you to go to mac platform. It goes directly to windows platform.

Even if one never installed bootcamp it should still give the option between the restore to the pure osx vesion
So maybe your option key is damaged in which case you can try connecting an external keyboard

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If that doesn't help...
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to open AW6.

App wont open on my mac mini

An app (Splashshopper Desktop) won't open on my Mac Mini after having to force quit it today(my fault-tried to use it before sync finished). Screen blinks and immediately closes when I try to reopen it. I've rebooted, tried disk repair, time machine, reinstalled app from previous download, and same thing happens. I've used it for yrs, 1st time this happened. All other apps working fine as far as I can tell.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).

You have purchased iWorkapps for iOS to run on portable devices, if you want the iWork applications for the Mac you need to purchase those separately. They are completly different software for a different operating system, you can buy them very economically on the Apple App store.

Press Option key on boot and press Macintosh HD. If you want to start always in Mac OS, open System Preferences > Startup Disk and select OS X partition

Safari wont open on my mac help?

Safari doesnt work on my macbook.
When i press it it jumps a few times as it its going to open but it does not.
Please help me i need help soo badly.

If your Safari won't open, one or more of the following procedures should fix it:
1. Go to Home/Library/Safari/ folder and remove the following two files:
• history.plist
• lastsession.plist
(Safari may not load properly If these two files are corrupted.)
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/ and remove the contentsof that folder.
(These are just webhistory files and are not required for Safari to run. However, similar to preference files, problems can arise if they have become corrupt.)
3. Locate the cookies.plist file that's located in the Home/Library/Cookies/ folder and remove it.
(Again, faults in stored cookies may interfere with Safari's launch.)
4. Check whether any of your third-party internet plug-ins may be interfering with the launch of Safari by carefully moving them to the desktop (do NOT delete them at this stage). You can find these in two places:
Home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ folder, and Global plug-ins are located in the Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ folder.
Restart Safari and place them back in the correct folders, one at a time, closing and re-opening Safari each time. If you discover that one of them was causing the problem with launching Safari, trash it and download and install a fresh copy.

Blackberry wont open on my mac

when i had a regular pc i used to plug my blackberry via its usb cord and a file will show, letting me copy pictures and songs from and into the blackberry.
with my macbook pro when i do the same thing, it wont even show me that there is an external device plugged in. And yes ive got my external devices ticked in the general finder preference settings.
SO plz could anyone help..i need to get all my pictures out from that blackberry

Have you tried calling the cell phone service provider in which you purchased the blackberry from? They are surely to be the most knowledgeable source about how to install the software, whether it be on a mac or a pc. Good luck

Premiere on Windows wont open Project from Mac

It says "could'nt open Project because it was created with a newer Version of Premiere" although I have Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) on both, my Mac and my PC.
The project is saved on a hard drive formatted in HFS+ but I have a driver installed on my PC which can read an write on it.

check the version in help on both computers, one might be using a newer version. they changed project formats in 2014.1 (8.1 i think), the current version is 8.2.0

Itunes wont open on my Mac

My itunes icon in the dock will not open the program??? Help

When I try to open iTunes from the /Aplications folder, the same thing happens. I've opened up the /Force quit pop up and every time I click on iTunes from either the /Aplications folder or dock, itunes pops up as running but then quickly disappears. I even spotlight search it and it does not open. What now?

Check also your Login Items for your User Account under System Preferences > Accounts. You can remove it from the list. Good hint this one, as I just opened mine and found an app that I do not want to start at login and did not know that was there.

MacBook Pro not booting to mac osx making partition on windows side and windows not booting either help

I have a macbook pro with windows 7 on bootcamp partition. I made a partition in windows 7 using disk mgmt and after that my computer wont show mac os partition and only show windows and when i boot to windows it errors out with blue screen unmountable volume. I was able to get in to command prompt of windows and use that command to boot to mac os but it failed giving error bootcamp.msi not found please any help in this issue will be appreciated.

Thanks to all who have tried to assist with my issues with Mac movie and burning.
In short, I have made a 105 minute movie which includes photos with transitions, video, some titles and backing track, music. When I "share" the movie to Quicktime, it plays just fine. When I create a DVD in IDVD and then burn to a blank DVD, it does not play correctly on DVD players.
Specifically, the sound track is erratic in volume, cuts out in parts, or the DVD crackles up and is jolty.
ALTHOUGH it does play just fine in the Mac DVD player (not much good to those smart people that don't have a Mac).
Based on a lot of feedback on this forum I have tried:
- creating disk image (works fine) but has same issue during play back on standard DVD
- using verbatim quality disks
- using professional quality in project properties
- Simplifying the menu option
- Ensuring I avoid drop zones when putting movie into IDVD
- Ensuring I have minimum 25GB of free hard disk space (actually have over 140GB)
- and most recently, changing the BURN SPEED to 1X.
Changing the burn speed to 1X did actually mean that the DVD played back fine on one of our DVD players. ALthough subsequent copies have cracked up a bit towards the end of the DVD.
When we try it in different DVD players, we tend to get different issues!!!!
Given that we are wanting to distribute the DVD to other families, we do not know what they are going to get. ie. it plays back differently on each DVD player we try.
Never used to have same issues with windows, plus find IMovie very limited in what you can do.
Back to windows for the next DVD, write this one of as a bad experience and a waste of money buying the IMac. Will NOT be recommending Mac at all.

How new is your iMac? I wonder if you have a bad burner. What you describe in terms of different players playing discs differently is really odd. I have authored over 40 DVDs of family stuff, DVDs for the soccer team I coach, etc. all on the Mac and without any problems with any player I've tried, and family members have used them as well without problems.
If you just bought the iMac you might consider seeing if they will replace the superdrive, though it sounds like you have made the decision to go back to Windows. From everything I hear (and no, not just from Mac people), Windows software is very challenging to use and yields very limited results - but good luck to you if you go that route.

Imac will not Startup in Mac mode, Goes straight to windows!

I used to turn on my computer press option button and my option window will allow me to choose which I wanted. Either Mac or Windows. Now when I turn on and press option there is a grey screen and it loads up windows seconds later.
I am lost and do not know what to do. I would appreciate someones assistance.

Insert your Install Disk and restart holding the Option key to Boot into it, then skip over the Install section and select Disk Utility on the menu bar and repair the Macintosh HD volume!

first of all you want to back up all music files before you uninstall itunes. if it wont let you uninstall itunes then right click on itunes in your applications folder, then get info, then go to the bottom and change all permissions to read and write. then close and try to uninstall and reinstall. if that doesnt work then this does :
open apps, go to utilities, open terminal and cut and paste or type in these 3 commands, hitting return after each one.
(first type) killall iTunes
(then hit return)
(then type) killall "iTunes Helper"
(then hit return)
(then type) sudo rm -rf /Applications/iTunes.app/
(and hit return)
after the last one you will be warned and asked to enter your password. do it.
once completed you will see on your itunes icon with a ? shadow inside it.
drag it off the dock and it goes poof.
then download itunes from apple.
if they wont let you download 11.1.5 itunes then use 10.7 Download it from Apple here.
and then install and upgrade to 11.1.5 from there. this is the method i used when my itunes just bounced after installing mavericks. it takes only minutes and your itunes will be as right as rain. enjoy.

Program installed correctly. system using windows 7. when you open desktop icon nothing happens, when you try fron programs same and when you try to open a picture using photoshop it wont open. you can view pictures using picasa or windows picture viewer.
