I know Apple will delete this posting, as they did it before:
"I bought a macbook pro retina today and I was eager to use it...no way to get wifi connection....what really makes me angry is that this seems to have been a problem for almost 4 years or even longer...and apple doesn´t do anything about it, doesnt tell you anythin about and tries to make you believe youre the only one who is having this probem. I lost 5 hours today trying to make things work and will have to go to the apple store tomorrow....this is a really poor performance."

You originally posted in the support area for the Apple routers......and I see no question about an Apple router in your post.

Apple TV wifi error

Sorry for my English is very basic.
Wifi does not work on my Apple TV. Only works by LAN cable. Upon entering the wireless menu there is a legend that says "Activation error".

Wifi error - HELP!

I have trouble connecting to Wifi connections, ive tried it at home and work. Soon after i enter the password i get the error message saying 'Unable to connect to Wifi connection'... i have been trying this for months now. Could it be a virus?
Will it go away if I 'Reset All Settings'?

App World Wifi Error

Ok so i keep getting this annoying msg "we cannot connect you to blackberry app world. please ensure that your device is connected to thei wireless network and try again." but i have found only 2 temp fixes either take out the battery to restart bb stomr 9550 and app world and then it works fine. The other one is reinstall version 3.1.0.58 which can be annoying. Any ideas to stop this issue. Because the error shows up but i can easily navigate through the browser connected via wifi. Thanks in advanced

we solved this problem, it was a Proxy credentials problem,
we needed to add arule for the Playbook IP or MAC address that doesn't need proxy authentication, because the appworld can't manage proxy authentication.
After that the appworld for Playbook is working on our corporate wi-fi enviroment

Location based wifi error

So I have a Lollipop updated D6633. From what I understand Sony got rid of the Location based wifi support with the new Lollipop release. However I keep on getting an error message every so often as attached, showing that location based wifi has stopped. I also attach what I think is a logcat. Anyone else expereinced this problem?

Where is Location based Wi-Fi?
I our Android 5.0 Lollipop update the developers have worked hard on improving the power management, including Wi-Fi scanning. So there was no longer any reason for keeping Location based Wi-Fi since Android 5.0 has such improvements made to the Wi-Fi scanning.
Re-installing lollipop should smooth things out

64 Bit installation, UFEI and Wifi error.

First post, here goes.
PC Spec:
CPU: i5-3570k
GPU: Radeon HD7870
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H
Wireless card: TP-Link TL-WN7851ND (Ath9k)
4GB RAM
128Gb Sandisk Ultra SSD (this is the drive I wish to install too)
500gb HD
250GB HD
First of all, i change the keyboard layout into dvorak and the font as written on the beginners guide, all goes fine.
Then, i check if i booted into UFEI or not
# mount -t efivarfs efivarfs /sys/firmware/efi/efivars
Returns:
Mount: mount point /sys/firmware/efi/efivars does not exist
I checked in the BIOS and it is set to UFEI and Legacy. So I switch it to UFEI only and it does not detect my USB drive or SSD.
I had previously pressed on with the install so i shall post the outcome of that too.
Next i do

All seems to go fine, detects my network, i can create a profile, enter my wireless password, all seems fine but no connection whatsoever.
I later continued all the way up to installing the base system with no issues, but obviously with no internet i could not download the system which is when i first noticed i was not connected.
On a slightly unrelated note, i was confused by the swap partition section on the beginners guide, is that needed, it didn't explicitly say create it, so i did not.
Thank you in advance, let me know if any information is needed, i will try and get you that.

Firstly, 4GB of RAM is probably enough to not worry about a swap partition unless you want to run a full-blown KDE setup or similar...
When you started up wifi-menu did it return any error messages after you entered the password?
Did you try the method without wifi-menu?
If your network is detected, your wireless chipset does not require firmware...
On the UEFI isssue: you need to disable the "Legacy" mode ("CSM") in order to boot in EFI mode so you can install an EFI-enabled system.
How did you get into the live environment? If the usb input is not accepted, you could use a DVD

Linksys smart Wifi error while deleting offline device from device list

i have Cisco Ea4500 with linksys smart wifi, each time i try delete offline device i get error message.
anyone can help?

What browser did you use in deleting offline devices? Are you doing it under the Device list? If yes, normally it should be deleted because those are widgets only. Can you try your other browsers? And do it on the main computer.

If you can see your Wi-Fi network, but you are unable to connect to it
Check for any obstructions and adjust the location of your router or Apple TV; also check for sources ofpotential interference.

Note: Apple TV cannot connect to networks that contain high (extended) or double-byte characters (Unicode) characters (such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese) in the name or password.
If you are using WEP security, consider using WPA or WPA2 instead.
Temporarily disable wireless encryption or security on the Wi-Fi router to rule out encryption issues.

C2D MBP WiFi Error

I have a C2D MBP and the wifi simply does not work at home. I am typing this on an iBook with the exact same settings, connected to my Actiontec router, but my MBP will not connect to the network. I get the following error message in the console log:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport: Error: WirelessAssociate2() = 88001006 for network NETWORK
It is not a password issue, and I've tried changing the network settings from Automatic to Home without any change.
The MBP connects fine to my network at work, wirelessly, so I don't think this is a hardware issue -- I'm installing XP on bootcamp to double check this.
Does this error message mean anything to anyone?

I have had very similar problems with my new MBP. I have read that others are having the same problems as well.
Thankfully I am able to connect (most of the time) to my home network (Airport Express, WPA). I have been unable to connect to a D-link router running WEP 128, and 2 different Linksys routers, both completely open.
My connection drops occasionally when using my home network, and with other networks the card appears to login to the network but isn't getting an IP address from the router.
I would assume this is a driver problem associated with the new wireless cards in the C2D MacBook Pros. Hopefully we'll get an update soon.

Lion OS in MacBookPro WIFI Connetion Problem

Nokia E-5 Wifi error

My nokia e-5 is about 3 weeks old. now when i try to search for wifi its says "SYSTEM ERROR".. it worked fine before. Is there any solution about that??

It might be worth you trying to do the following resets:
Soft Reset:
Enter into your keypad *#7780# and when prompted, enter the default passcode 12345. If you have changed the code, it will be the code you changed it to.
A backup will not be needed as this will not delete any data.
Hard Reset:
This will erase all data on your device, so a backup is recommended before you do this.
Once backed up, enter *#7370# and when prompted, enter 12345 as the default passcode.

WiFi Error Message

I was connected to wifi on my iPhone while I was out of the country last week and now I've come home and keep getting this error message pop up http://twitpic.com/44vcqi
influx_lobby was the wi-fi network I was connected to at the hotel. I am not traveling 3,000 miles just so I can forget that network. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will erase all wi-fi network settings from your iPhone.

MacBookPro SSD Error- ALERT: The partition map needs to be repaired because there's a problem with the EFI system partition's file system.

Have you tried to run the verify/repair permissions and verify/repair disk through the recovery disk? If that didn't work then I would reinstall the OS after backing up. If that still doesn't work I would take it in.

I have a Blackberry 8520, and am experiencing some issues with my Wife. I try to turn on the Wifi though the "Manage connections" menu and intead of getting a green tick as I used to when the Wifi was previously working I get a red cross on the right hand side and on the left is a blut tick in the box but its covered in a "misty grey layer" (Sorry that's the best way I can describe it) Never the less, when I press the return key and then reopen the manage connections menu the blue tick on the left has no gone and there is just a red cross on the right again. Let me tell you the steps I have previously followed

.Router Reset
.Connecting to other Networks without success(College Network and Starbucks)
.There are also 3 other BB devices in my house all of which ARE NOTexperiencing any similar problems and can connect to the house's router without any problems

The phone is operating on the latest OS (I think it 5.01 ???) I can't think of any recently added apps that I have downloaded/updated.
I have also dropped my phone in the bath but the Wifi was working after this.
Just another issue if you have any ideas. My phone charges perfectly when there is charge in the battery Ie: Low battery but not fully dead!! However, The phone will not charge when the battery is compltly drained.Any ideas!
